The eight players are Jarryd Roughead, Chance Bateman, Jordan Lewis, Robert Campbell, Mark Williams, Mitch Thorp, Brent Renouf and Jarryd Morton.

I was only keen on a couple of them, and they were never going anywhere...

Besides. For some of them they won't even be even potentially looked at for trading for another few years... like Thorp...


Signing players doesn't mean they can't be traded, all it means is they can't leave you for nothing. Smart by Hawthorn now if anyone wants Thorp or Bateman it will cost them a first round pick.

He was the one I was looking at.
