We have the Didak thread... Here's the Shaw thread (Not Rhys though, i wouldnt want him at Melbourne).

If Heath Shaw were to be put up for trade by Collingwood at the end of the year, would u want him at Melbourne? If so, what price would u be happy to pay for him?

He is only 22, and has played 71 games, with the best part of a decade left in his career. Fits our youth policy, and prior to this, has had a pretty good off-field record. Like Didak however, he does not fill any of our key needs, and recent controversy has certainly tainted his reputation and value.

Collingwood in all honesty, because of his age and potential, will prob want to keep him, but if he were to go... They would ideally like a 1st round pick for him. From us, they'd probably want one of our 2nd rounders, pick 17 or 18 + a player, in a straight swap. Too much IMO. I'd be happy to part ways with pick 18 + a player (Bell/Bartram perhaps?), for Heath Shaw and their 3rd round pick (roughly pick 35-40 probably) at the absolute most.

IMO he is an upgrade on what we have at the moment in our small defender stocks (a lot better than Bartram/Bell/CJ, and much younger than Whelan), and could really be a good player, even a champion, in the furture.

Thoughts?

nope...

Pies will not let him go!

Even if they did i doubt i would want him anyway as the pies would want ALOT in return and for someone who doesnt really fit a need i find it pointless

I realise he's part of the filth, but this guy is that good i would have to say yes

A Shaw would never play with passion or flare at Melbourne. I Saw Ray Shaw Spit at Robert Flower one Saturday. I was ready to jump the fence!!

won't be leaving Collingwood, however I feel we have a very similar player in Chris Johnson...

no doubt you'd still take him, but perhaps you'd try and find a different role for him... especially since he's been getting tagged a lot of late and really struggled with it...

Ray Shaw did same to me playing DVFL when he was finished and I was a kid - I gave him a bath in a final and he spat in my face. Whole family is the eptome of Carringbush.

My tenuous link to one of the great dees - but I thought he only confesed to doing it to #3.

We would be crazy not to take him. At 22, he fits the criteria and has far less risk attached to him than a pick 17 + would have, as he has established himself as

a good player. We would also know doubt, at the very least, have to offer a reasonable player as well. But I know the filth would ask the world for him, which

smashes this bubble right here, cause their arrogance demands that they do. So here this Filth, I am prepared to offer you our second pick and the valuable

services of Mark Jamar, Issac Weetra or Jace Bode in exchange for the runt of the shaw litter. Take it or leave it, I will barter no more!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
