BBO For the record I don't have a cook, I have a three hat chief and it was his day off but that is irrelevant in this case. I am experimenting with guava paste to see how I can market this new taste sensation from the Carribean! On My recent trade mission to aid Cuba I thought I signed off on regular consignments of Cuban bananas, but the paperwork was in Spanish and I may have confused things somewhat. Anyway I am now receiving container loads of guava paste instead from the Communists. Who would have thought they would be so efficient? In response I am working on guava paste coffee at this point in time and I am also in fruitful discussions with Swisse multivitamins as I am sure my regular intake of guava paste recently has improved my backhand. That could be a big seller!

Quoting the Heartland Institute, for heavens sake PD! Accuse me of being gullible, really! Are you now going to tell me smoking tobacco is good for me? It's just getting a bit warmer everyone but don't panic, relax and have another ciggy, alls good, leave it all to us billionaires like Rupert M and the Koch Brothers to tell the real truth, and stuff those scientific nerds down at NASA and the NOAA. What would they know! By the way Who the hell is Joe Bast and what has he ever done scientifically, other than take cash for comment?

just finished a home made guava paste smoothie but being honest, it was rubbish!

No Munga it is not MM. In our new system I am just a shadow. I can not upload my preferred image. I will need to talk to DL admin for a resolution. But yes we need to deal with all bankers ASAP!

Let us hope his footy career gets back on track for the next ten years so society can be spared from his financial career if it ever happens. He is a better person surely than becoming a financial parasite on the community.

Yes I thought so, I think Incitatus could be a good bet for the next Senate election. It looks like Clive Palmer is for the high jump so there will be a vacancy in Queensland up for grabs! Why not a horse, couldn't be any worse. -

You bring up an interesting point Macca, I work with Hal Hunters mother and noticed he wasn't named in the Age's list anywhere of banned players. I know his mother is livid that he was injected last time we talked and is scathing of the club, as we would expect and he is taking court action as we know. How odd he is not named?

Club website says there was an open session this arvo at 1.45 pm at Goschs? Looks like no one got there. -
I am in shock, talk about one from left field! He releases a new album three days ago on his 69th birthday and next this? I went to the Bowie exposition at ACMI in October and it was only then that I fully realised the depth and breadth of his work. I loved his music video Lets dance circa 1983 shot in OZ. One of the modern greats! RIP

Nutbean I can handle your thoughts on Kennett despite my hatred for his policies, yes they were what he thought was right at the time, misguidedly I believe. But Costello really? The local parliamentary clown for how many years, with no ticker to take on Howard when he needed to be moved on in his last term and the treasurer who squandered most of the mining boom income with tax cuts to the rich! The treasurer who then left us all with a financial time bomb, his policy of zero tax for all superannuates over 60, a growing sector of wealthier citizens who will never have to pay their way. And this after lecturing us all on the inter generational Report and the dire economic problems we all faced with an ageing population. I mean the man is not just a clown but a fool who should never have been let near our national accounts. But then they let him take control of the future fund, another one of his follies. What is it but a multi billion dollar slush fund from the sale of Telecom and other assets that is used to invest in various stock markets and has been losing money slowly over its lifetime. It invests in nothing of any use to anybody except the multitude of financial intermediaries who take their cut. Other than that he is a top bloke.

Wrecker can you provide Evidence of any experts backing Greg Hunt's direct action as a superior policy for reducing carbon emissions verses the original carbon tax? Do you know of any economists, environmentalists, scientists of any stature that have backed DA over a carbon price mechanisms? But out of course you don't want to reduce CO2 but you see some advantage in more trees? Odd!
-
Wrecker can you give us your thoughts on ocean warming, ocean acidification, melting glaciers across the globe, melting ice sheets in Greenland and measured ocean level rises in recent decades? The oceans make up 70% of our surface area and can absorb huge amounts of atmospheric heat and CO2 but there isn't a problem with heat apparently! However scientists are observing warmer ocean waters melting ice shelves in many places. But why would things be melting in a climate that isn't warming? I am flummoxed!

Bing I wish you hadn't used the 4to6 phrase! In the MFC context it means we may not see the Trac for months! -
Biff just checking can you send me the contact for the Mufti? I have several dozen kilos of guava paste on my hands from my misadventures in Cuba that could be of use to the Mufti at a suitable price of course. Guava fruit in its normal state can be be regarded as [censored] like by the demented or religious orders so is banned in many countries but my guava paste is very agnostic! It would be good to set up a deal with direct payment so I can get out of this bolt hole I have here just outside of Cancun in Mexico. Gee without my local friend Shorty Guzman I would be stuffed. He is happy to organise the money transfers with yourself for the guava transfer but also can provide finance for some of your other activities if you desire! Have I ever led you astray (lately?) The Earl

Jara your last para sums it all up in my opinion. The do nothing option could be, in my opinion, will be catastrophic, the do something option will provide jobs, new industries, innovation, economic stimulus etc, etc. the winners are us the community , the losers would be the current fossil fuel big boys and I don't give a flying about them and neither should any of us.

Yes BA isn't it funny that when you have upwards of 10 elite AFL footballers on your list who have been doing it for over 10 years, you don't need altitude, heat training or sleep deprivation stuff. Funny you just know how to in the ball and importantly you exactly where you team mates will be in traffic. You need to be fit but if you control the ball for much of the game you usually look fit. If you are chasing all day you usually look unfit, despite your altitude and heat training!

From the balmy island of Cozimel in Mexico, can I echo others and just say Feliz Navidad y un feliz año nuevo a todos en la tierra del diablo! May 2016 bring us all numerous victories and the ultimate destruction of the dark force, well I really mean Hawthorn here.

If the AFL mirrors the ASX next year then there will be 18 teams outside the top 8.

Ernest thanks for that insight. The official was right but I keep thinking if Jurrah's community had remained stable and fully supported him and if he had not got the series of injuries that curtailed his number of games in his final two years, if those problems didn't eventuate I am wondering when the coaches would have dropped him for his lack of defensive footy? If we had a side that could pump the ball inside our 50 arc often enough, you know a fit Jurrah would be kicking at least 3 or 4 a match, if not more. Hmmm yes as a coach I note his opponent running off him and setting up a couple of goals but I still think we would be ahead with a freak like Jurrah up forward and I did see him tackle people very efficiently at times. Anyway the reality was his community disintegrated and he was always going to struggle physically with injuries at AFL level, I believe. Unlike some others my memory is that he lost the unified support of his community to stay in AFL, he was also struggling with long term injuries and yes he did lose personal support from welfare officers at the club when Neeld took over and he took some time off to attend a marriage ceremony. I think once the Yuendemou Community fractured, Jurrah as an initiated warrior was conflicted and the rest is an unfortunate history!
