  1. I'm sure it only set them back a few mil in consulting fees.
  2. Total jerk. Jackson is an emerging super talent and Grundy is an all-Australian around the peak of his powers. Comparing the two as though on equal footing is ridiculous, although to be expected from Cornes the Clown
  3. Not to labour the point but...................... why the [censored] are we STILL playing Geelong in Geelong?? Their reduced ground capacity because of yet another govt funded expansion (just GAGF) will see Dee fans get about 35 seats and a max crowd of 17K. Seriously WTF? It should be at Colonial or the G. I'll just have a bex and lie down for a sec. PS Adelaide's crowds are lame given how well they're doing.
  4. I find it a bit yawny too but know next to nothing about him. It's odd they took sooooo long and looked soooo far and wide, only to pick him from under their noses.
  5. Goody said he was still experiencing symptoms so wouldn't be considered this week.
  6. Ok poor taste, but jeez I laughed at this - from 'The Luke Jackson Trade' on Big Footy: What Freo thought they got: What they got:
  7. It's time for the Western Bulldogs to rocket back up the free-kick ladder. May the umpires miss every one of Libba's throws! C'mon doggies!
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if Brayshaw became captain down the track. Maybe Lever, but not necessarily. This is just my observation and plenty will disagree, but I mostly see him (Lever) yelling at other players. He may be marshaling the backline or telling another player off, but I seem to only see or hear him yelling. If Lever stuffs up, other players will console him as they all do for each other. If any player around him stuffs up, he yells at them. In my book, yelling shouldn't be an autoresponse for a leader. Just not cuddly enough I'm afraid!
  9. Furphy sponsors a number of clubs too
  10. Fixed. There are a number of things that need fixing and I'm inclined to agree with Dee Spencer but if they're addressed, I don't have a problem with it: 1) The double-header was a fail and needs sorting 2) There should be a second bye if they're stretching it to 24 weeks. It's hard enough limping to the finals as it is. 3) Three years is too long. An extra year or two would have been enough before sending it to WA, TAS or NSW 4) I have no problem with the SA teams (or whatever state it might be) getting an extra home game - they travel more than enough as it is.
  11. I think most of the team were flat from back-to-back interstate trips and a 6-day break, but I think it's time to seriously consider managing some of the older players in this situation. May and TMac were next to useless, so if they weren't carrying an injury, should/could be out 'managed' for situations such as these.
  12. It's hard to find players to give votes to after that performance, but I'm surprised by the love for Hunter. I thought he had a stinker. He covered some ground but, to me at least, it seemed every disposal was either a turnover or he sold his teammates into trouble.
  13. May stank today. There's no arguing that. I'm not calling for him to be dropped unless whatever he's carrying/suffering isn't resolved before our next game. We were monstered by their makeshift forward line of Draper and Andrew Phillips FFS. Lever or not, that's pathetic.
  14. 6 Viney - turnovers and all 5 Langdon . . 4 Rivers 3 Oliver (2nd half) 2 Petracca for trying Umm 1 Jordon or McVee
  15. Stevan May looked like someone got him out of bed 3 minutes before the siren. I hear Disco was flown over late. He should have played instead. May was completely out of sorts the whole game. I think there were more players who wouldn't have played had we rated the opposition, but we didn't. Time to make an impact Sparrow - no really!
  16. Baldi and Sheridan are stiff to be dropped. One will go back in for Jordon. The last time Casey lost Munro didn't play.
  17. His manager said 'multiple clubs had expressed interest'. That is a lie. This thread is funny
  18. And Gawn expressed his contempt last season at the time, saying Melbourne (effectively) had no bye.
  19. Any chance we can have this on the back of our banner when we play Freo at the G @WalkingCivilWar? As a fundraiser, we could sell feathered caps or just feathers before the game. The opportunities are endless..... Too soon?
  20. What an appalling display of umpiring. It was actually a great contest until ruined by the umpires in their determination to get Carlton over the line. The commentary was comical too. It's reasonable to call out poor decisions without sinking the boots into the umpires, but there was nothing. In this case, the boots should have been well and truly sunk in as they were clearly shifting the momentum of the game away from North. Good on them for battling on despite the obvious bias.
  21. The AFL wanted a game to go up against the Grand Prix and expected a weaker attendance. They said as much on ABC radio. We drew the short straw unfortunately.
  22. Tough week at the selection table! Pickett in is a given and JVR will def get a gig with his home crowd. Brown stays in unless injured and, if he is, Koz for him. I wouldn't be bringing TMac in as a like-for-like. He's just not doing enough. We can run with JVR, Fritsch and Petty up forward, plus or minus Brown. If Brown is out then Kozzie replaces him, if not, Sparrow or sadly and undeservedly, Jordon (because Sparrow doesn't get dropped). Sparrow as sub works for me.
  23. Greetings All, I'm back from my wander and am happy to spill the beans. The team I listed share initials with the 2021 magnificent demon premiership team. Eg. Mitch Hahn = Michael Hibberd, JVR = Jack Viney, Michael Gardiner = Max Gawn etc etc. Congrats to Timothy and Tilly
