If I recall, the constitution was changed by President Szondy, the cost to the club for the extraordinary Joe ballot was enormous, something like 200/300k. I am certain the % was changed so that at least 60% of members must agree for a spill to take place, but have not been able to find the detail yet. The Stynes take over of the Gardiner team, was really just a knock on the door, and agreement reached.
