  1. Viney! Hope to see that a lot more
  2. I would rather see the "bad boy Watts"
  3. That we have great potential and could be like this years Port next year. "Not far from a finals side"
  4. [censored] you umpires advantage (thanks to you)
  5. Kent is a ripper! And Howe can kick goals from anywhere accept in front
  6. Agreed - he can replace Rivers as that lose defender who takes marks and rebounds
  7. Commentators: "you can see some of the former Melbourne greats: David Neitz..................... Brad Miller......"
  8. Our defence has decided to play the role of the midfielders as well! I am loving the rebounding.
  9. if we had a small and quick rebounding defender our defence would be set (strauss?)
  10. Kenty boy! You watching Roosy?
  11. where is viney? Viney + Center = clearance
  12. He is walking around in change rooms (so thats a positive)
  13. Seller in - our season in a nut shell (a rather large nut shell)
  14. Thanks - Sylvia should start on the ground (need all the big senior bodies out there from the bounce)
  15. I don't get why they listed that interchange for Melbourne? Do they change it from Fridays? Sunday, September 1 Western Bulldogs v Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, 4.40pm NO LATE CHANGES FINAL INTERCHANGES Western Bulldogs: Jarrad Grant, Matthew Boyd, Easton Wood Substitute: Koby Stevens Melbourne: Jimmy Toumpas, Colin Sylvia, Matt Jones Substitute: Luke Tapscott
  16. He will probably end up sub - if he has a really good game and we struggle to secure a small forward in the draft/trade then he just might keep his spot. Really expected big things fro him this year but is walking on very thin ice. Who knows what we would be saying about him if he didn't get that 3 week suspension (just when his form was good).
  17. Doubt Barry will be playing round one next year. Looks like a long term prospect but then again look at Geelongs Motlop. As long as he doesn't turn out to be another Cale Morton.
  18. I would put Clisby in the back line group. I hope that Evans can have a full preseason and slot into the midfield. I think Strauss could find his way into the back line with the right direction. I think Kent and Taggert could improve a lot (Toumpas may take a little longer) We really need a small forward now - I would put Tappy ahead of Byrnes. Blease could be anything (rebounding defender/wing man/forward pocket) Gawn should really make strides next year (I think it was a long season for him). Who knows what Trengove will be like next season.
  19. The day we landed Paul Roos..... Oh wait The day we do land Paul Roos
  20. Maybe Saints - they just had three retire today (Kosi, Milne and Blake) and have others that are only going to get worse
  21. Well the Herald Sun said: "The leadership group also met with Roos this week, believed to be on Tuesday at a private location. That meeting was said to have been extremely positive, with the likes of out-of-contract players Jack Watts and Colin Sylvia at shortening odds to stay if he is signed. ...... Included in that leadership group are Jack Grimes, Jack Trengove, Chris Dawes, Nathan Jones, James Frawley, Colin Garland, Shannon Byrnes and Jordie McKenzie."
  22. I think it could easily be the difference between us getting say 28,000 members next year (with Craig) and 35-38,000 members (with Roos). Not to mention sponsors - and future membership numbers (depending on results)
  23. You would have to be pretty damn stupid to put money on that.
  24. Don't think this article really has anything new (is it confirmed that he met with the leadership group) "Paul Roos close to signing deal to coach Melbourne next season": http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/paul-roos-says-hes-a-50-50-chance-to-coach-melbourne-next-season/story-fni5f91a-1226707831825 could someone please wake me up...
