2nd efforts is his middle name ....... third efforts is his first. Gives 100% - that's what the coaches want and is why Jordie has fared so well in the award.

Are you sure you got the right guy?

Daniel Craig?

I don't think I can stomach another purely speculative thread. I think I will just wait for the official signing. (hopefully sooner rather than later)

Yes that was the first Roos article I read and it was love at first sight. I agree with everything he said. Although I don't think Watts is our most important player moving forward and I don't think he said that either. He did say this: "Make no mistake, the Demons need to keep hold of Watts because he is incredibly talented and still could be a star". He never said most important player going forward and in comparison he said "and, by all accounts, young Hogan is destined to be a star." I think our 3 key backman 3 and 3 key forwards are our most important going forward + Jack Viney. "The Demons look to have three good tall defenders in James Frawley, Colin Garland and Tom McDonald. As we know, defence wins premierships and there are many teams who would love to start with these three players. Equally, the forward line could consist of Mitch Clark, Chris Dawes and Jesse Hogan. Certainly, at their best, these three would trouble opposition defenders." But if we dont have a 4 year premiership window the likes of Frawley,Garland, Clark, Dawes, Sylvia and Jones etc will be past their prime.

If we gain a priority pick what do we do!!!

Soon we shall have the best midfield in the league........ muhahaha! -

Classic magicians trick - distract the audience with one hand (the brownlow) and make your subtle move with the other (priority pick). -

You are always going to have very good prospects in the draft but the problem is when we draft them their prospects shatter. I think I remember hearing this is a top heavy draft - if so that will increase the value of our priority pick. If we where to focus on the draft we would need to land some big fish in Free Agency (definitely some mids) -
If Trengove has A grade potential he is hiding it very well! But otherwise you raise valid points.

And so it should - we can't develop players when we have no leadership or culture. An A grade 22-24 year old mid would be nice -
Oh no he didn't ever write out his game plan - it was drawn many a years ago by some bored caveman. The beards were a crucial part no doubt.

We really need an "important news thread" where big events/news are posted (only facts and no discussion) - this thread is like my bedroom desk (absolute mayhem). I have have been paying close attention to this Paul Roos thing but it would be so easy to skip over something important while scanning through the 200 pages of speculation. (same goes with any thread)

I think Neeld's gameplan was drawn on stone about 3000 years ago.
-
He is looking solid isn't he - must be the offseason (they are already ripping it up at the gym) Can we replace McKenzie with Hogan? (he is basically on our list now)
-
ESSENDON has made further changes to its list, delisting young pair Luke Davis and Hal Hunter. It means the Bombers have made four list changes, after David Hille and Nathan Lovett-Murray announced their retirements last week.
-
It's probably the only positive thread that is over 10 pages
-
That would be Roos face when he realises he let 6-8 million dollars go. But yes - don't believe everything you read on Demonland - this place is practically a 'sauce' factory, this place has more 'connections' than Peter Jackson.
-
I kind of agree but I think no matter who comes on we need to get rid of our dead wood. I would add Sellar and Nicho to that list and upgrade Clisby so that leaves 6 spots. (would rather get rid of Nicho than Tynan - if there isn't enough draft talent) I would rather have a late draft prospect than Sellar (look at McDonald or Garland) I would like to snag Jurrah, Garrlett and posibly Mav Wellar (or others) would they be through rookie draft or PSD?
-
Agreed - as Caroline Wilson rightly said (I know I know) Its not so much about disrupting the players celebrations its the fact that it would be rude towards Neil Craig. Lets just hope to god that it is Friday because I can't sleep while refreshing the AFL page!
-
Who are we going to delist then? Sellar has to go - we have a huge amount of tall forwards and backs - we need mids Surely the club know that Nicho and Bail are not part of this clubs future.
-
If we are beyond help he may as well go out with a sack of money. If anyone is watching OTC can you keep the non pay tv viewers posted? Thanks
-
They could have at least kept him for a trade sweetener. Our midfield needs all the help it can get - get rid of guys like Bail and Nicho (who's contributions are negative). He will probably look like a star in our midfield (it would be hard to get a gig at Gold coast)
