I would be happy with 4 years. If something goes wrong - imagine paying 4 million to payout his contract after 3 years (especially if we are still financially stuffed)

True..................

There are some really talented photoshopers on here!

Jones and Garland are about the only two I think deserve to put the feet up. When I saw this on the AFL I thought which stupid club would that be?
-
Was that a joke?
-
So many sauces! (I think he is trying to tell us something - is that our coaching panel?) Ling would be your "Big Red" (no explanation needed) Paul Roos would be your "Home Style" (family guy) who are the other two?

Access All Areas: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2013-09-02/roos-in-but-not-bomber Barret says its a 85/15% not 50/50 but just sounds like speculation

I was going to like this until I realized who you replaced...... not cool!
-
Can I volunteer to be Paul Roos assistant? More than happy to help him put pen on paper. No but seriously well done Nineteen - you guys are the backbone of this club and are why it is still alive.
-
Or coaches award. If VIney played the full year I think it would be his.
-
When we start playing for something (finals) and when the likes of Viney, Toumpas, Swallow? etc start have an influence then Jones and Sylvia will be freed up and could become A grade. (I think) A real motivation for AFL is the chance to win a grand final or play finals (we just don't have that and I think that situation is the difference between getting through a game and putting your body on the line).
-
Who voted other? And who was it? (Grimes?)
-
From reading this website one would assume Sylvia would be destined to end up at the bottom. I think he cops an unfair amount of criticism (Dunn also) but then again they do need to lift. If Sylvia leaves he will be a star and all of demonland will be in mourning). Jones for me - has had to endure the heaviest tag each week and has still performed week in week out. Garland - unlucky but he should not just get it because Jones won it last year. Our two only players that can walk into the off season with their heads held high.
-
It kind of just occurred to me that if we didn't sack Neeld and the Don etc when we did we would never have been a chance to get Roos. This is going right to the line (thank god we have had all this time to restructure the club)
-
Nathan Jone - I respect you so much I can't even put it in words (I bet Viney is following Jones around like a shadow) Matt Jones seemed to tire as the year went on. I think he would benefit greatly from a full preseason (improve fitness and put on some muscle). I have always been skeptical of these mature age players (I expect him to improve next year if he doesn't then I am hoping by then he would be a fringe player)

I agree with Roos - We should trade those high picks for proven young A grade mids like Swallow. (look at our high draft picks so far) If we get pick 1 and Watts stays then we definitely don't need Boyd - so trading would be a no brainier (unless we trade one or two of our current tall forwards but Boyd will have good value). This weekend just highlighted the gaping hole that is our midfield - we need to be able to get players in who will have an immediate impact (Swallow). This is not only necessary for the supporters but also for the players - it will get their tails wagging and also help with development. We also need an on field leader (preferably a mid) - Selwood has been mentioned.
-
I think if there is an announcement it will be at our best and fairest night (Thursday). Although I would appreciate it if Roos put us out of our misery.

1. Has always stayed in the game (in some form) - and I think its great that he has had a break from footy (I don't know how Worsfold is still going). 4. Hasn't he played a role in Sydney's development team or something? 5. Is there a multiple premiership coach hiding somewhere? 7. You could say he is responsible for developing those players. 8. He won't coach unless he and his family are ready But I respect the fact that you are looking at this logically.

I agree with Craig but am happy to wait for Roos. No timeline has been set on the coaching decision but as each day passes, Craig says it becomes more critical a person is put in place. "Not to the extent of rushing the decision because the decision is too important but as each day goes past now it becomes more and more critical," Craig said. "If that committee can make that decision as soon as they possibly can without making an error of judgment I would certainly encourage them to do that because of the amount of work and planning and other appointments that are hanging on the coaching decision."

2013 will always be remembered as the year that Essendon got served (not the year where Melbourne won 2 games)
-
Oh but it will make success all the more sweater!

Won 3 of 4 quarters (not bad) Few things that I took from the match: Davey: well done - thanks for the memories Kent: a real keeper and will be big in 2014 Toump: showed something - will take confidence into preseason Jetta: has put a question mark next to his name (previously crossed out) Watts: whats going on in his head? - I think he has finally turned a corner Jones: a loyal servant who I will always respect Trengove: can't wait to see how a full preseason will impact on him Thats about it I think. Enjoy the offseason guys! (let the optimism fester)

This is why I never turn the tv off

Wants to increase his trade value?
