  1. I am still expecting him to kick 10 in the last quarter!
  2. Why not?He won't develop sitting on the boundary! We need to get games into our younger guys and Casey has been perfect for him.
  3. This is one kid we don't need to worry about - demon for life
  4. From this day on we will call him "The Don" - (the puppet master or is that PJ?)
  5. Thanks Macdonald for your service! That's good that we don't have to drop him - one free space (although at times I forgot he was even on the list)
  6. Agree - I would have Kent, Tapscott, Gawn and Blease as sub (or maybe Pederson because we lacked forwards last week) Great to see Strauss get another game
  7. Damn! No Frawely, Dawes or Taggert MELBOURNE In: D.Rodan, S.Blease, M.Gawn, J.Howe, C.Pedersen Out: M.Clisby (suspension), D.Nicholson
  8. He had kicked 37 goals and was coming fourth following the game against Collingwood on 27 July.So he must have played a game after that and then didn't play last week (rested), so he is unlikely to win it! Young gun Hogan thrives as Scorpion
  9. How many games have they had on ABC? Wish I could have watched more of them and less of Melbourne this year! I assume the finals are televised.
  10. I just can't imagine Trengove ever being elite but until he shakes off OP or finds some leg speed I don't really think we can judge him. If he has got OP or some reason for this speed issue than good - hope he can get over it but if he is always going to be slow than I don't think he will ever be great. I have noticed Dustin Martin also looks as if he has lost a bit of speed (same age as Trengove - same issue?) he has a bit of a waddle as if he hasn't grown into his body yet (quite funny).
  11. No - the Muppets had something called dignity.
  12. Fair call - but if we had any other young small forwards I would bring them in (sadly we don't) If he wants a spot in the side he has to start showing it. He is obviously not part of our future so really he is there as a mentor/experience and that means he needs to lead by example (that involves making the most of opportunities). And I am still waiting to see Byrnes on an "on day".
  13. $450,000 http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-08-15/foundation-heroes-raise-450000 That's a great result - just makes you wander what the club does with this money. The Foundation of Heroes pockets are very deep but i wonder how long it can last if we don't lift. That can be put towards paying Roos for a couple months. (I wonder if that was the main drive behind the night - collecting money to snare a good coach)
  14. I am pretty sure that was a stab in the back... It was then followed up by something along the lines of - Ablett wasn't to happy with his treatment during the game, what do you have to say to that?
  15. Definitely don't drop Tapscott he played well last week and I hope Strauss is ok for this week because he was playing well until Brown decided to break his nose. Sucks losing Clisby after his best game yet! There are so many that I want to have as outs but there is little waiting in the sheds. Possible outs: Davey (sucks), Nicholson (sucks), Byrnes (sucks), M Jones (rest) Possible ins: Gawn, Magner, Taggert, Jetta (hasn't earned it - only one good game)...... Dawes and Frawley (if fit) Taggert you could argue is not ready but Taggert can't do any worse than Davey or Nicho so maybe he could replace Davey as sub?
  16. I am not sure if he was ever assistant coach if that's what you are implying but I meant he was under Neeld (an assistant)
  17. No - Craig's reputation was burnt when he became Neeld's assistant. Would love him to stay on as assistant Coach though. We really need someone who can give the fans hope and Craig being a part of the old regime just doesn't work. If we can get him to stay on as assistant coach or as part of the development under Roos that would be a dream come true. Seems like a really nice guy (likable unlike Neeld) and of course is knowledgeable with his vast experience. But just not that breath of fresh air that we so desperately need.
  18. Exactly - PJ basically said that he wanted to create hope (there is a price tag on it) We need someone who will provide that over the next 2 years (it may take 2 years to start seeing real improvement). I think Roos will make a huge difference to the membership numbers - if we get a mediocre coach I can't see us getting more than 25,000 members next year. Not to mention that Roos is probably the best coach and most likely to be able to develop this list and keep players like Watts and Sylvia. If we can get him - get him (even if it means getting on our knees and begging for more cash from the AFL)
  19. Or smuggling peptides into Melbourne for our 2014 season?
  20. Has anyone considered Roos could be a part time pilot?
  21. Good point! I just want the best coach for us (that is probably Roos but no one can tell the future)
  22. I would offer that to him if it meant Essendon would sink
  23. Demonland crashes and we all go outside to the beach!
  24. 5 wins in the last 7 games? (according to the article) You wouldn't sack your coach with 3 rounds left unless you had someone lined up and they would obviously have to be good. The only other explanation is Voss said he was clearly unhappy with not being able to get a contract extension or he has done something that was disapproved of?
