  1. PJ will be waiting on the sidelines - check book in hand ooh revenge is sweet! Maybe that's one way we could get Adams - tell them that they need to spread their list out - they give us Adams for a high pick and they have less future salary problems?
  2. I am still wiping my eyes I thought he could develop into a good player (didn't expect him to become the next Judd tho - like half of demonland). He can find the footy and kicks alright - that's something we lack. I would like to see what he can do under Paul Roos new development program and if that means replacing any of couch, Stark or Magner I am all for it. (not much of a gamble).
  3. Swallow or Adams Definitely not Aish - we need to face it - we can't develop players (name one high draft pick we have developed successfully). I know development might be better under Roos but still we should get some young semi developed players like Swallow and Adams (then by the end of 2014 we will have a decent culture to develop players in)
  4. Adams. I don't really like Dusty and his attitude although he does have a good highlight reel. I could see him tearing it up in a Melbourne jumper but don't want to throw a bad egg into the batch just before we start cooking. I think its definitely worth taking some risks (dayle garlett/Jurrah) but I don't want to have to pay overs for someone with a ? over their head.
  5. Agreed There are plenty more fish in the sea. From what I hear I don't really like this kids character and not to mention he has a bit of Trengove agility about him. We may just be sniffing around and that's fine but he does smell funny. If we could recruit a potential star with leadership skills then we kill two birds with one stone.
  6. I thought you were already a member - it usually comes with the MFC membership package (didn't you get the umpires dart board?)
  7. Jack Viney would probably never hold off contract talks though plus I think the situation is different because we have invested a lot in Watts (both time and pick 1).
  8. http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/35066-this-guy-was-never-going-anywhere/
  9. Was just about to say that.Davey would have freed up a lot of space but that does not mean we should go and make ridiculous offers. However considering we have cap room and will need to pay above market price for players - I guess we can front load contracts (like Clark). If we can get some good players into the club and show some real improvement next year we won't have to pay overs.
  10. I think he probably is the best 'physical leader' at the club (as far a personality goes he seems really smart, great talker, sensible and a hard worker) First game I saw him play you could just see he was a leader - has a massive presence on the ground (no talking size). Having said that he needs to be able to get on the field and perform so not captain next year (unless he has an absolute blinder of a preseason).
  11. God I love you Roos. Don't know much about this guy but I trust your judgement - I love appointing people who have experienced success. Hell I just love poaching other clubs staff.......
  12. So we have our successor? Still waiting for Roos to say something that I don't agree with............
  13. yes he was quite the master at "defencive running" Sorry couldn't help myself
  14. I think Peter Jackson ran out of credit on his phone. No but in all seriousness we should expect nothing less (I agree tho it does show he means business).
  15. Fixed. So basically no one can take the [censored] out of Trengove, Moloney or McDonald?
  16. Well he seems to have put on a bit of muscle (I think) so that's a start. Like the rest of the team - needs a big offseason. We all know he will be a long term prospect but lets just hope the appointment of Roos means the end of the Cale Morton/Cook/Gysberts days.
  17. Has he started chasing up Pedersen?............ Isn't his contract up in a couple years?
  18. Can you divide your love between three? Jackson, Roos and Hogan
  19. Magner - will get a game
  20. Could be any of Strauss, Taggert, Jetta, Blease, Tappy, Gawn, Evans or Watts - they are our under performing players (Viney, Hogan etc are already good) Strauss is my pick - has a great kick, great pace and size. He has dominated VFL all year and finally gets a couple AFL games where he gets injured arrrrr (showed something tho). He is still young and I think he just needs to be put in the side from round 1 - round 5 and we will have a rebounding back pocket who can play on mediums or quick smalls (e.g.Betts). Loved him running out of the backline and using his great kicking in the couple games at the end of the year (means Watts can play forward or on the wing) .
  21. Praise The Lord! Can we still delist Nicho? (won't be able to trade him) Magner must be pretty [censored]! Jetta - good choice Are they all Neeld appointments? Now trade Byrnes Pederson for pick 88?
  22. Don't waste your money - you will have a better chance at the slots.
  23. I am pretty sure 2011 was the year where we either won by a lot or lost by a lot. Apart from the Sydney draw of course. We just don't win many close ones.
  24. Until he improves his kicking he needs to know his limits. He shouldn't be trying to be do clever small kicks in the backline when he is under pressure. (he is no Jack Watts) Watch Garland he doesn't run around like a headless chook looking for the closest person to give it off to - if under pressure and there is no good option get it out of the 50. Hopefully Roos will end this saga and the whole handballing to someone under pressure. (then I might actually be able to cut my nails like a normal person)
  25. You are talking about Trengove right? Match sealer?
