Frees 6-1

Dawes Hogan well done! The Turks are lucky Hogan wasn't born 100 earlier
-
Someone has to be subbed out...
-
Would have liked to see him play a full game tho. Really excited for this one! Hope no one gets injured Would like to see Watts and Dawes respond strongly after last week
-
Same - there are pros: - More knowledge of what we are getting (less risk) - Less time needed developing - Can target player we need vs taking best available (we need an explosive/outside mid) As a long suffering demon fan it is hard seeing high picked draftees come in and knowing that they might take 5 years to develop. It will be tough winning a premiership with this list given GC and GWS have a similar premiership window.

Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015
Young Dee replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
As he said in his interview on MFC - last week he did 50% game time and this week he will aim to do 80%. Next week he could play Seniors. -
Happy we didn't go with another tall looking forward to this one!
-
Probably just their club doctor coming round to do some check ups
-
He does have to improve a lot! He always seem slow, outmanned and to fumble. I think he has a big tank maybe he needs move up and down the ground more and tire his opponent/prevent being outmanned.
-
I don't mind that - it would probably come down to pace - Michie would be another slow inside mid to the team. Bail is more of a natural forward who can go through the midfield. I would also like to see Michie however I think he is trying to develop his outside game at Casey.
-
Even so when you are 6 or 7 rounds in and you know you are not playing for finals then that must be sapping (after a long hard pre-season). AFL players are competitive beasts - the players know that finals are very unlikely this year but deep down that's what would drive them.
-
While I agree that Dawes should probably be dropped on form - I really want to give him one more chance to prove himself. If he plays anything like he did last week then I would bring in Pedo. I think Dawes has a lot more to offer but at the end of the day if he doesn't perform then we have no space for him. He is probably the player that has frustrated me oat this season because I know he has more to offer. I say give him one game on the G - he has the potential to be a game changer.
-
I don't really want either however if I was to choose one it would probably be Pedo. Pedo has actually proven he can play at AFL level and whilst Gawn has shown he can dominate VFL he still is yet to have a great AFL game. I think he still needs to work on some things at VFL level - time and time again he has come in after dominating VFL only to mope around. He doesn't use his height to his advantage in marking contests or the ruck, doesn't get enough of the footy and is a bit of a liability with ball in hands. If we want to play fast paced aggressive footy then playing Gawn as second ruck in an already tall line up is probably not the best move. I think Bail or Michie can replace Frost up forward and they can also add to the midfield.

Looking at the fixture - I am worried if we don't win this one we will lose momentum (like last year) and go back into our shells. At least if we win this one we can carry some confidence into the Sydney, Freo, Hawthorn and Port games. This one is a must win! Hate to say it but we could very well be 1 and 6 leading in to round 8 against the dogs.

OUT: Frost IN: Bail or Michie Think we were playing one tall too many anyway - Bail or Michie can play forward and rotate through the midfield to compensate for the loss of Viney. Bail is probably more of a natural forward. Although we already have a few small forwards, they can all run through the midfield (Garlett, JKH and Kent). Not really keen on seeing any of Fitzy, Grimes, McKenzie etc. Toumpas hopefully will continue to develop and build confidence at VFL.

I think we were playing one tall too many anyway. This means Michie or Bail can come in and rotate through the midfield to compensate for losing Viney. I have always liked Dawes but he and Watts just need to pull their heads in - they are letting the team down. Toumpas is another possibility but would like to see him develop at Casey. Not really keen on seeing any of Fitzy, Grimes, Gawn, Pedo or McKenzie

Looks like they have designed a wetsuit so they can swim over to their Tassie games

I think you will find "the kitchen" is a cafe and meant to symbolise Melbourne's coffee culture while the one bellow it may be the outside of the cafe or a bike symbolising city life/transport? Not a fantastic collage but at least they tried... as long as we win games I'm happy!
-
First time in a long time that I have actually really cared about the outs and ins! Yep pretty stiff with JKH but happy with the changes. Interesting to see where Frost plays (we will have a fairly tall forward/backline).
-
I think that's not a bad choice TDI (I don't really want JKH or Kent to be dropped). Brayshaw can get a couple full games at Casey however does leave us with some tall timber (Frost probably the black sheep)Which group did Frost train with?
-
I think that's at least one tall too many - what was great about Saturday was the team balance, run and spread. Gawn has proven to be a liability when brought in - he doesn't use his height, doesn't do enough round the ground and isn't good enough to be first Ruckman. I would also keep Salem back - one of the great things about the game was our kicking out of defence and Salem should stay and grow in that position.
-
Yer I remember that - didn't get a free kick. Jetta is one of the toughest/bravest players on our list.
-
Problem with dropping Kent or JKH for Dawes is Frost. He was playing forward so if Dawes comes in we can't really have Dawes, Hogan, Watts, Frost up forward. The backline has Garland, Mcdonald, Dunn, HL and Howe (Frost could maybe squeeze in there depending on GWS line-up) Really want to see Dawes and Vince come in
