  1. Normally yes WCW, I was in Melbourne the weekend just gone for a wedding, and the previous couple have been very busy, plus I’ll be down rd 3 for the Swans. Being in bed by 7:30 this Saturday night ready for the first bounce (we have a tv built into our wardrobe ) sounds bloody appealing right about now.
  2. Lying in bed with my wife in the privacy of my own home, lights off.
  3. Regardless of where you rate Gutherie, we have arguably the no.1 midfield in comp, we’ve had the no.1 ranked defence over the last 2 seasons. We finished the H & A season last year 2nd after playing some ordinary predictable football in the back half of the season, along with a few injuries. An argument could be made for our depth compared to other top 4 hopefuls. Barring major injuries to a number of players there are simply no excuses this season, none. Top 2 finish is a must.
  4. There’s no arguably about it, no chance, wouldn’t even be top 10.
  5. These articles are subjective and based on lasts years stats and trades. Giants have / had a lot of talent but always fail to deliver. Hunter and Dunkley are two massive outs for the dogs, yes they still have Bont, Libba, Macrae and Treloar but losing talent has to hurt. Cats are another year older, Danger is 32, Gutherie isn’t a gun. Interesting season ahead, only 5/6 clubs with a real chance.

  8. Thanks mate, I’ve been doing some big hours lately and missed it.
  9. What’s the story with Fritsch? Anyone, anyone, Bueller….. Thanks.
  10. It’s only going to get worse. Look at GWS, GCS and if Tassie gets a team….
  11. 2 seasons is a long time to be underperforming, but have they? They dominate by big margins every team placed 6th through to 18th. IMO they’ve been a good side but never been great. Agreed, I think their defence is overrated. Also agreed, I think they don’t don’t like being hit hard, they strike me as a team that really have to build themselves up for a tough game which they would have against us in the semi final last year but couldn’t sustain it two weeks running, they held on against Geelong (just) being 4 goals down at 1/2 time only to 9 goals down by 3/4 time.
  12. We’ve had the no.1 defence for the last 2 seasons. Not sure how our midfield has ranked the last couple of seasons but I’m guessing it would have been in the top 4. With the addition of Hunter & Grundy along side Oliver, Petracca, Langdon, Viney and Gawn I’d like to think we will have a top 2 if not the best midfield in the comp. We have the best medium sized fwd in Fritsch and arguably the best small in Pickett (some would argue Stengle and fair enough). Brown is obviously nearing the end but is still serviceable and TMac can hold his own without staring. I’m in a group chat and bet with mates with my mates, one a Pies and one a Swans supporter. One thinks Melbourne hands down has the best list and the other thinks it’s between us and Geelong. But one thing we all agree on is that anything other than a premiership for the Dees is a massive fail.
  13. Didn’t they lose Marcus Adams to concussion? If not him it was another key defender and I personally believe Andrews is a touch overrated.
  14. FT | It may only be pre-season, but Brisbane Lions have made a powerful flag statement against Geelong Cats. That was the headline by Fox Footy on FB, ridiculous.
  15. And we picked up Hunter and Grundy. The Lions beat us in the semi last year and now we’ll never hear the end of it. A 13 point victory, with the injuries we had. That’s the only game they can salvage from the last 4 years of final. The Lions get off on flogging the weaker sides and the media jumps on board. This year the Lions should only be judged on how they play against us, Geelong, Sydney and Collingwood. Freo and Richmond to a lesser extent.
  16. Because the Suns are doing so well, makes sense.
  17. Thanks to @Witches Hat for putting on the quiz. I was a BBB set shot run up away with my line of thinking until @WalkingCivilWar got me on track. We had a few theories but none were correct. @mo64you must really know your cricket to have answered correctly in 3 hours, we’ll played. @Timothy Reddan-A'BlewIf you’re looking at putting together a quiz can we do movies please, preferably action, maybe late 80’s and 90’s so I’m in with a chance🤣🤣. cheers BA
  18. You got me covered WCW, all I’ve been able to come up with is the majority of players on the list have had more than 1 jumper number throughout their career.
  19. Having said that I’m not sure my line of thinking applies to the whole team, unless I’ve missed a few.
  20. I’ve just submitted a guess, I think I’ve found something but it’s only one part.
  21. My suggestion, purchase general admission tickets so at least you’re in, then get someone on here to purchase guest passes for the Redlegs at $20-$25 each giving you seating on level 2A. If you can’t get guest passes (no reason you shouldn’t be able to) I’d sit in the first row of the great southern stand, Punt rd end behind the goals.
  22. The clue hasn’t helped me at all. I’ve looked at players numbers, where they were drafted and where they played their junior footy. I would ask that this quiz is not wrapped up so quickly as some of us work anywhere between 8 & 13 hours a day. Thanks
