If you hadn’t watched the game and didn’t know the score, having read this thread you’d be right in thinking we had lost by over 80. We arguably only had a couple of players win their position on the night, yet only lost by 22, less than 4 goals. As frustrating as last night was, we’re still in it.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whilst the game was high scoring and some great goals were kicked I thought overall the skill level was low. Richmond have had their time at the top and are now in decline. Full credit to the Lions, I didn’t tip them and don’t rate them as a threat and last night did nothing to change my view. -
We’re at the airport, early flight but we’ve allowed time in case a flight in canceled. Been to 3 games so far this year and they’ve all been wins. And we’ve boarded.

Merits of the pre-final bye
Bombay Airconditioning replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Geelong finished top of the ladder on the back of a soft draw, if they played last week Cameron misses. I personally don’t mind it, I understand the momentum factor but ultimately if you’re good ent you will win it. -
Agree, was leaning towards the Dogs but now I’m back on Flagmantle.

I don’t understand the love for the Lions. 1 win from 5 finals over the last 3 years. At a guess their biggest win for the season would have been against the Swans in rd 7. For all the talk about the no.1 scoring side and they can score quickly we need that to be broken down into games against other top 8 sides and those outside the 8, this would give a better indication of where they’re at. Brisbane is a good side but far from a great one and another disastrous finals campaign should see Fagan under the pump next year. I’m interested to see on Thursday night if their leaders in Neale, Zorko and Cameron continue to play for soft frees and hit the ground at the slightest bit on contact from a opposition player looking to tackle them, this was a sign of poor coaching/leadership and that they were clearly rattled before the game had even started. A lot of talk about Geelong’s form in the first week of finals yet Brisbane’s would be nearly as bad.

Freo’s last 6 Lost to swans by 17 at home. Draw against the tigers at G. Bent Over by Melbourne at home. Beat the dogs by 17 at Marvel. Beat the Eagles big deal. Struggled to beat the Giants who didn’t want to win. By comparison the Dogs last 6 wasn’t much better, however they did beat us and they have a good recent finals record. This is an each way game for me.

Of the team named. Out Hawkins, Rozee In Fritsch, Laird

Bailey Fritsch, best medium fwd in the game. Play a tall on him and he’ll beat them on the ground, play a mid/small on him and he’ll beat them in the air. 8th in the goal kicking playing in a team with the hardest draw in the competition. Fritsch is a gun and hopefully a dual premiership player come the end of September. Player Club Goals Charlie Curnow Carlton 64 Tom Lynch Richmond 60 Jeremy Cameron Geelong 59 Tom Hawkins Geelong 59 Peter Wright Essendon 53 Max King St Kilda 52 Aaron Naughton Western Bulldogs 51 Bayley Fritsch Melbourne 50 Lance Franklin Sydney 50

Looks to level 2A, just about on the 50 metre arc.

I just double checked my tickets after reading your post as I selected Melbourne premium allocation then best available. I got 4 tickets level 2 N55. So pumped for next week.
-
Out of interest, did anyone get level 2 Punt rd end? Or level 2 anywhere?
-
So just to clarify, the first game isn’t until next week but they’re selling tickets to two games on the same day. 🐔

I’ve added a photo from the tickettek website that I took this morning. A little confusing but I’ll be on from 09:50. Thanks again for sharing above information L.H, your efforts on here are appreciated by all. In short I’ve told the site boss where I’m working today I’m stopping at 09:50 and won’t be starting again until I have my tickets….🤣🤣

I totally agree, as a premium member I would of liked an hours grace to get first crack. I’m sure I’ll still get good seats but considering we finished 2nd and we’re playing an interstate team I would have loved to be sitting where I do for our home games.

It’s 10.30 am now according to the tickettek page. It’s changed over night. I’ll still be checking from 10am though.

Still no email from the club, disappointing as I’ve been a member for 18 years. Was able to follow the link provided by @In Harmes Way earlier in the thread (thanks) and locate my barcode. Having dinner and an email drops at 7.15 from the MFC, it contained no barcodes, just letting me know I can purchase general admission from 3pm tomorrow. I understand it’s a busy time of year but last year should of been the test run, or the year they sent the email out and we were beaten by Collingwood in rd 23 and didn’t make it. Bring on 10am tomorrow….

Sydney, Freo and the Dogs were bloody ordinary over the weekend. Lions were embarrassed again. Geelong did what they had to. I didn’t see the Tigers or the Pies. What surprised me was the mindset of some teams considering what was at stake, there’s obviously the belief they can flick the switch and away they go. week 1 Tigers Dees Cats Dogs week 2 Pies Swans week 3 Cats Dees GF Dees

Anyone received their email from the club yet with their barcode?

Flights booked. Hotel booked. Tickets tomorrow.

Just had a look on Ticketek. It said club members can purchase up to 10 tickets. (I thought is this right?….) I then looked at the Cats v Pies game and club members can only purchase 1 ticket. Obviously both Victorian clubs with large supporter bases.
