When his team flogged the opposition he would always find negatives, when his side was beaten he would find positives. Neeld copped flack for saying 'it is what it is' , yes he hasn't worked out like we had hoped but regardless of who's coaching the players have to want it and must accept some responsibility for their own effort. What will Hinkley say after the game- we trained well during the week, set ourselves for today as Geelong is the benchmark. What he'd like to say - the on field leaders went missing in the first qtr, took a spray at the break to fire them up. They did put in after the break but were outclassed. The mindset of the Geelong players came about while Bomber was in charge but funnily enough didn't leave them when he did. I think your right about north. A big if , but should we get a priority pick package it up with Watts then we have some bargaining power. Opposition players have to agree to the trade which may be a problem in some cases. Peter Jackson wasn't hired to sit on his hands , would love to have his office bugged.

Agreed Neeld must go. Obviously a lot hinges on the new coaching appointment. I can't imagined that any other club would have matched the GWS offer to Scully. Our bargaining chip with Watts is up to 8 clubs want him (debatable). Lets hear them out. The no.1 tag currently means nothing.

We were all up in arms about Scully until we landed Hogan. If we netted a good mid in return would we still feel the same about Watts, I think not.

The clubs wants culture, call the players out at training, ask them if they have made their mind up 100% about leaving, if they are man enough to admit it they play out the season in the seconds. Phil Davis had the balls and was dropped for it, same should have happened to Scully. More than ever we need commitment from players and supporters if you don't want in sod off now you're not wanted. Probably would have effect with the new coach but you get the idea.

So are soft overpaid underachieving so called footballers. We've stuffed up his development..... Just like like we've stuffed up the likes of Terlich. His problems are all mental. An ex player has one good game and there another one we stuffed up. We overrate our own players to much, if Watts wants out we want a decent trade in return.

Not being smart, just curious , where did you get 1.8 for three years for Mitchell from? Someone posted yesterday Wines has been offered 400k. I would have thought Mitchell would be taking home 500k already, purely a guess. For mine to shift him you would be looking at 2.4 over three. Buddy staying might help us out. Neeld being sacked is a given, I would rather we keep him until his replacement is ready to go. I think it's fair to say any care-taker coach would not be considered for the top job. For all the things he has got wrong he got a few things right. Bailey-Viney-Neeld-care taker- Choco? in a two year period is getting out of control. Interesting to see how it all plays out.

Watts to the wing. No, Neeld will most likely not be there next year but I'm sick of reading crap that Watts has suffered at the hands of Neeld/Craig/Misson. They work as a team so by blaming one you are effectively blaming all of them. M Jones and Terlich don't seem to be suffering. Watts issue isn't his skills or fitness it's his fear of the physical contest. We have three power forwards plus Howe. Lets utilise his strengths, being on a wing he has pace to run to/ find space , then deliver the ball with precision to our key forwards. Would become a difficult match up. This year is gone, why not try this for the remainder of the games his is fit to play. Something I have mentioned before is that he must be made to boxing twice a week, including sparring. We've heard about individual training program's , well he should have base fitness by now, this should be included into his program. Jack is still young but needs to address his fear of the contest, or we simply cut our losses and trade him. Out of interest, any know how Morton in going in the seconds? Elite club with a hard nosed coach..... I'm not being smart but am implying their biggest setback is something they need to overcome themselves mentally.
