Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
Hopefully North continues to falter, 18 teams is enough.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Fritsch is a gun and King would know this. Let’s see how he goes with some quicker and more direct ball movement with space for him to work in before we’re worried about dropping him.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Well not many actually, only a handful of us wanted him at 8 (12), can’t wait until he lights up our fwd line.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Agreed, hence his time at Melbourne was well and truly up.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
From memory when Oliver had the meeting with King he was told he’d have to expand his game and be flexible in playing other positions rather than just in the middle. Today an article an about Jack Steele where he’s quoted as saying “I’m a midfielder, I’ve always been a midfielder. So why wouldn’t I still try and play in that position. That was part of Melbourne’s pitch, that I was going to be playing in the midfield. Is that really how Oliver’s meeting went down? Who knows, who cares…. His time at Melbourne was well and truly up, we’re all aware of his greatness for a period time but also how frustrating the last couple of years have been. Looking forward to next season and getting to Melbourne for a few games, I think we’re going to do a lot better than most people think.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Could we have terminated his contract of the last couple of seasons, perhaps. Had a been player number 40 on the list I think we may have. Moving forward we need to move quicker. I’m all for helping people and second chances but we can put it place protocols that allow us to do that and not be out of pocket.

Still no way forward
I would say yes but we have a new coach now I don’t buy into the it takes years to learn a new gameplan. We showed last season it stages we can be dangerous when we play quick attacking footy. King will release the shackles, o think we’ll surprise quite a few teams this year.

Still no way forward
Lions should have three peated in 2023 - 25 but in the opinion of many they were robbed by the umpires in 2023. Daniher was massive for them during their 23 & 24 seasons. In 25 they won it of the back of their mids & small / medium fwds but then went and picked up Oscar Allen (all be it cheaply). Yes the game has changed to being much faster but to suggest key fwds are overrated or surplus to needs is ridiculous. Does anyone think Miohcheck is overrated or we wasted our time picking him up? Key forwards have a role to play you just don’t trade the farm for them or spend a high draft pick unless they’re undoubtedly going to make it.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
That’s massive, and that fact he had to kick around his body….

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
Apparently he’s best mates with Bailey Humphrey.

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
2022 Exciting 2023 Exciting 2024 Getting hard to watch 2025 Largely unwatchable The last two seasons we’ve been slow, boring, predictable and poorly skilled, the gameplan was stale and some of our players were confused. In 2026 we’ve got a new coach , gameplan and some new faces. I can’t wait to see Miohcheck and Pickett operating inside our fwd 50 along side two very handy players in Fritsch and Melksham. We need a reason to get excited again, a reason (for some) to get to as many games as possible and to get out of our seats when we are there. I’m hoping to get to Melbourne for three games this year plus watching us play the Swans at the SCG. What an exciting time to be a member of this great club.

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
When The Flash started off for Dees I was still living in Melbourne, I used to love his chase down tackles. I think for Latrelle that even if he isn’t kicking goals or helping set them up he can still get involved with his tackling and pressure, Flash at times had them guessing.

Nat looked like she should be asking us to pick from the round, square or arched window.

Was it you pleading with posters to be patient with Jefferson this year?

What are those needs? Are there better midfield options next year? Will there be better small fwd options next year? Who are our current small fwd options considering we need Kosi on ball? Who brings that fwd half pressure?

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I understand the need for player versatility as we look to change the way we play. Last year we started to show we can move the ball quickly (not often enough) but again on many occasions we fumbled at the last kick inside our fwd 50. For years we have struggled with kicking to a forward, forwards knowing when and where to lead, forwards getting separation from each other, a key target, small forwards being at the drop of the ball & locking the ball inside our forward 50. We’re trying to address these issues with a new coach / game plan and already we have some personnel changes but we need more. Ideally we could use one or both the picks we got for Trac on gun mids but as we know they’ll be gone by the time our picks arrive. I think we should draft Nairn and Pickett and focus on mids next year. Get it done Dees.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
We have some ageing forwards in Miohcheck 32, Melksham 34, Fritsch 28 then we have Chandler 26 and JVR 22. Nairn & Pickett would help us in how we want to play in our fwd half. The Lions have Rayner, Lohman, Cameron and Bailey and it works well for them.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
I’d take that Old, we may have to wait until next year for Trac’s replacement.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Well pick the best available player (pick 7) within that though there’s areas of the ground we feel we need to enhance and continually look at to improve and there will be a focus around that for us without going into great detail (pick 8?). When asked about our need for a small fwd, we’re not going to go early on a positional type but if we feel that they’re in that range we’ll look pretty strongly at that. Sounds like he’s left open to interpretation.

He had a bet each way. Keep them guessing.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I need to rewatch the Nairn highlights, for some reason think that struggled to kick any great distance.
