Smith was in the team prior to the QF rpfc, he replaced Hunt for our R22 match after Hunt got injured in R21 and kept his spot until he was injured between QF and prelim weeks. I think some are forgetting that Hibbo was the one struggling for form late in the year having being dropped twice (R20 for Bowey and again R23 for May).

Would love another peaceful week at work so go Port.

Wonder if Petty is a chance of returning as early as this week. Goody in his presser said he’s physically ready, they will just wait to see if he’s AFL ready after today’s main session.

Saints challenging Ryder’s ban tonight, interesting to see what happens with that one.

Brown is looking away and throws a forearm/elbow out just as he turns to look at the player. Hits him in the base of the chin/neck area, a momentary lapse but a silly one. There was no need to do that.

That’s the logical solution and I agree on Jordon having a great game against Port LDC. It really is a great problem to have, especially when I heard David King on radio say we are going at 70% compared to last year in 4 key stats. Yes, he wasn’t great in Round 2, but I think he’s been ok with the ball every other week.

I’m genuinely keen to read why people keep suggesting for Hunt to be omitted every week. Hunt was having a very good season last year until he was injured and would’ve been a lock to stay in the team. Bowey replaced Hibbo against Gold Coast for his debut, Hunt was injured the following week and Smith came in for him. Smith was hurt between qualifying final and prelim and that’s when Hibbo came back as Hunt wasn’t quite ready following the ankle injury. Happy to stand corrected, but that’s how I remember it. Hunt might be playing a deeper role this year until Salem returns and I believe he’s doing well again. I’ll be interested to see how we change it up when Salem returns.

Bugger, pizzas are back to full price on Lygon St.

Look up Carlton v Melbourne Round 10 1993 and have a look at the free kick count in that game coach. I only remember that game because it potentially cost Greg Williams the Brownlow, he had 44 possessions and didn’t get a single vote.

Lol, Welcome to coaching Craig McRae

Why would you go short to Goldstein?

AFLW GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Adelaide
Dee Zephyr replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
Doesn’t matter now but why take Bannan off with 50 secs to go until halftime. I would’ve left her on as she seems the only spark at the moment. -
Fritsch’s 6 is the most goals in a GF this century, can we include this?

The ump should have just kept his mouth shut when Andrews questioned him about the push because the explanation he gave was laughable. Something about momentum carrying Andrews forward as Hawkins stood his ground.

Best bet Saturday. Randwick Race 5 No.6 Mazu $4 (W)

People have laughed at us for years, came across this and found it amusing. Would love the Crows to beat Essendon just to see the next instalment.

Goody, Gus and Gawn keep telling us how hard it is to win one game of footy these days, we’re doing it regularly now based on contest and defence, yet some aren’t happy about it and want to find negatives constantly. Of course improvement will come in our overall game, but don’t detract from what we’re doing extremely well right now. Liking Viney going 1 goal a game so far, would be a bonus if he finishes around 20 goals for the year.

I like this from the match summary. MELBOURNE is the game's finest ambush predator.

Always enjoy winning the first game of the round, can just sit back, relax and watch the other teams bash each other. Defensively we were outstanding, 50 odd up some were still chasing and smothering. ‘Junk time’ goals happen, couldn’t be happier with how we’ve started the season.

Well done guys, that was a terrific interview.

Howes listed as an emergency.

I liked the Port fan that called SEN this morning and said we are playing bruise-free footy at the moment. I think it was in jest.

Not sure if this is a newly introduced feature or an old one as I’ve never seen it before, but you can actually choose your own seats just before you click go to checkout if you don’t like the ones you get allocated.

The club must’ve received a few calls about barcodes not appearing Dg35. They’ve just sent another email with the barcodes.

Yep Chook and they have the Dogs next Saturday night. 1-3 for the loser.
