A Day at the Races
Best Bet Morphetville Race 4 Number 1 Mongolian Wolf $4.40 Has a habit of getting too far back lately and finishing off late. The Weir runner is well rated here after the claim and hopefully he’s close enough to run over the top of them. The latest on Santos, horse is doing really well in trackwork and he’s ready for a big spring. Aiming to resume in the San Domenico Stakes this month.

Comedy gold. I’ll have to watch some of their movies again. Groucho’s one liners are up there with the funniest ever. ” I’ve had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn’t it.”

Even shorter on TAB Macca. $1.85 wow. Had a quick look at the Flemington card. In Race 2 Bandipur ($3.30) is down from Sydney and up against Invincible Al ($3.90) and Prezado ($2.40). 3 horses under $4 (early markets) in a ten horse field.

Sounds good Macca. Maybe we can get some suggestions going. I’ll start the ball rolling. 1. Pub Talk. 2. Draw A Line

A Day at the Races
No problem Wadda. I like sharing ideas, happy to go with 2 selections as well. All I do is constantly look at odds approaching the weekend looking for value. Also, we are $1.50 favourite to beat the Giants in R23. Odds are out already. ? Speaking of the NRL, Penrith have sacked their coach 4 weeks from finals.? They are sitting 5th and probably a 5% to miss out. Wowsers!!! Imagine if Goody was sacked 3 weeks out.....

A Day at the Races
I’m happy to throw one ‘special’ for the weekend from any sport. We could have one each and each to their own to add more legs. 4 is a good starting number for a multi, even then that’s tricky. I have my ‘Lotto’ bets starting now as the soccer seasons get under way. Without fail I will put all French League 2 games early Sat mornings to go over 2.5 goals. Odds for the 8 legs range from $200-$500 in odds. I’ll slap a fiver and hope to wake up with a healthy account. Not much thought in this strategy. I like my over 2.5 goals in all English leagues too, I have my standard 4 legger on Saturday ranging from the Premier league down to League 2. I’ll get my selection in on Friday mornings as I finish work after 7pm on Fridays. Most likely it will be one soccer game from the weekend to go over....you guessed it.....2.5 goals.

Well, well Macca. When you mentioned baseball multis in your reply to me I was going to ask which type of bets you like. I do one baseball multi a week and I always go the -1.5 or -2.5 like you. There’s terrific value in those line markets. I occasionally go the winner/total over-under markets in a multi. I limit that to 3 games. Have hit a couple at 25-1.

A Day at the Races
Love it. Incredible.....$5 at those odds, what a collect. I’m trying something similar this weekend then.....you’ve inspired me Macca. I just got home and the last thing I heard on the car radio was Chautauqua didn’t jump again. Is that correct?

Andrew Gaff
Did anyone hear Mathew Pavlich’s comments about Nisbett? Heard on the radio he had a good old dig at Trev about Gaff and Brayshaw never actually meeting let alone playing ?️

Andrew Gaff
Feds at an airport? Nah.....never. He’s copping some grief in the comments section. He’s getting called out on it.

Did Mark Stevens seriously tweet this a short time ago? He’s 100% certain it’s for Gaff. Surely not.

Well, after reading the Bruns article I’m not so shocked now. Matthews’ punch luckily missed his temple by half an inch and with a force that strong on a temple Bruns wouldn’t have come out of it according to the doctor.

22 pages added on this thread since the Gaff incident, well let’s say 21 if you minus the posts suggesting Jones is off to the Suns and only 10 on the Post Match. Gaff is flying to Melbourne for the hearing and West Coast are expected to argue Gaff was trying to make contact with the chest. My guess, Gaff gets 8 weeks.

Yes, On The Couch last night. Roos and Healy sent a few messages Gil’s way.

VALE JARROD LYLE
Shane Warne was on SEN this morning and offered himself at auction to raise funds. Highest bidder will get the chance for 10 people to bat in the MCG nets with Warne bowling at them for an hour or two.

Andrew Gaff
Has anyone noticed Gaff placing his right arm behind Brayshaw’s back/shoulder right before the hit? Didn’t leave Brayshaw much room to manoeuvre even if he saw the hit coming. IMO this was a deliberate act to hurt him in some way.

The Soccer thread
Keisuke Honda signs with Melbourne Victory. Only 32 and will offer plenty IMO. Interesting to see if Victory break the 30,000 members. https://www.sbs.com.au/news/soccer-japan-s-honda-signs-with-melbourne-victory

How can Adam Simpson come out and say he’s not sure that was an intentional hit? David King interviewed Gaff in the rooms and asked if it was a brain fade or an accident. Gaff didn’t make any excuses in reply, said he will be dealt with during the week.

That amount of force could have done serious damage even to the chest. Only two weeks ago some wanted Hawkins done for pushing down on Fritta’s sternum. I don’t care where Gaff was aiming nor does Brayshaw right now.

Andrew Gaff
The force was strong enough to cause a broken jaw. If he was aiming for the chest region the damage inflicted could have been just as serious.
