  1. Nice work Macca. The Juventus game had a thrilling finish with VAR coming into play late. They scored a go ahead goal to make it 3-2 nearing the end only to be taken away after the review.....but as these top teams seem to do frequently, they managed to find a winner moments later. Thrilling finish and entertaining to watch.
  2. Well done to Macca only, they were his picks above Wadda. My picks, not even close but that’s the good part about having a range of selections, take a long shot multi or like Macca says....pick the brains out of it and do as you please. Some money coming in for the Dees, steadily lowering our odds to $2.20 and the line coming in to +6.5. The previous line of +7.5 for us took some substantial bets. Keep an eye out on West Bromwich games in the Champioship from now on and specifically the total over/under option. Their first four games have netted a total of 20 goals. A 7-1 win overnight.
  3. A lot of left over Banana Muffins, was told I needed a banana license to sell. Where do you get them from?
  4. No good again with my pick. Maybe a tad too far back but taking nothing away from Fiesta. Was backed with late money also.
  5. I’ve missed the early viewing of the racing today thanks to my beautiful wife having our daughter’s new bed delivered. Conversation went a little something like this. Me: Hon, there’s someone at the door with a few big boxes. Wife: Oh, cool....Moo’s new bed is here. Me: Huh? Wife: You know, the delivery I’ve been telling you about all week. Me: Um.... Ok....does assembly come as part of the delivery package? Wife: Dear God.....maybe I should join Demonland and post our plans so you can read them.?? The wife is definitely a keeper.
  6. The TAB exacta approximate is showing $2.00 at the moment with just under $2500 in the exacta pool. Quinella showing $1.80 with $4500 in that pool.
  7. That would be my fault Red. Bought all the banana muffins as there’s 2 house auctions in my street today. Thought I’d walk around and sell them to the highest bidder.
  8. Sorry fellas, received a tip yesterday and forgot to mention it, that’s how a good a tip it must be. Randwick Race 3 Number 7 Gwenneth @13.15 $12.00 All I got told was to back it. Hmmm....maybe something small each way.....last thing we want is more PL.
  9. Hi....first time poster but regular reader on this topic.I’m pretty frightened about the upcoming fortnight....is it too late to join this thread?
  10. I initially thought Geelong by a big margin like 60+ but the predicted weather (hail, thunder, wind) might have a part to play in the final margin. I have opted for GWS 1-39 $2.25 against the Swans as a second leg. NRL: Penrith 13+ vs Newcastle $2.15 @15:00 Sat. AFL: GWS 1-39 v Swans $2.25 @16:35 Sat.
  11. Best Bet Royal Randwick Race 4 Number 3 Oohood $2.40 Now that the filly has tasted victory albeit a jumpout at Flemington over 800m a couple of weeks back, there’s no stopping her from here. She’s actually never won a barrier trial either before the jumpout. I think she’s high class and the trainer believes she would even love it up to a mile. 6 placings from 6 starts with prizemoney just under $1mil.
  12. I was listening to RSN this morning during school drop-off and heard the news of Torcedor, a once early market favourite for the Melbourne Cup being bought by a German consortium. Connections apparently decided against bringing the horse to Oz for the Cup but the offer to sell was too good to refuse. A Melbourne Cup trip might be back on for the horse.....watch this space. Currently @$26 and $7.25.
  13. If Weid comes in I’d put him in the ruck for the first centre bounce, let him be involved instantly win or lose the hit out, feel the heat so to speak and Max starts forward.
  14. I’ll have a go at the NRL. 3 weeks to go until finals and in my opinion any of the top 6 could win the premiership. After countless last minute comebacks by the Penrith Panthers the 13+ @$2.15 for them represents some value. This might be the week where they start well and wipe the Knights off the park.
  15. Anyone on here get their ‘members’ name on the jumper? I hope we win this week otherwise it won’t end well come round 23 when you read the below from the MFC article. The reason it will be worn in the final round is part of ‘Member thank you round’.
  16. Can’t wait for the Spring Carnival to be honest, having a tough time following our Demons at the moment, can’t imagine how we could handle September if we made it. Anyways, here’s a list of big races that Santos is nominated in, why not aim high when your horse is trained by the Waterhouse/Bott combo. Golden Rose Stakes [Group 1] 1400m 22nd September Caulfield Guineas 1600m 13th October Ladbrokes Cox Plate 2040m 27 October [49kg] I will update on lead-up races as they come to hand. Could be a very exciting Spring. The horse is not guaranteed to be running in any of the above races but mapping out a prep is essential. Hopefully it all goes to plan.
  17. Fair enough @Macca I thought about starting the ‘Monkey Business’ thread but it’s a bit difficult articulating without promoting the gambling aspect. It seems like a separate thread is needed if we are to keep posting sports multis, odds and specials on various sports. Topics on the main footy forum have posters constantly posting odds ( guilty myself on that aspect a few times) and of course it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I’m all open to more ideas on how we can get the thread started. With spring around the corner the thoroughbred talk will be in full swing on here. I’m happy to tone it down and stick on topic.
  18. ? Me too Wadda. I thought we were home, all good though, just nabbed the winner in Adelaide.
  19. Surely he’s retired by now.
  20. The odds for either team to win under 15.5 pts in Hawthorn v Geelong games should be $1.10
  21. Woo Hoo for Voo Doo!! Managed to get $5 which isn’t too bad after Fat Odds with Neds. Outstanding win, well done @Wadda We Sing
  22. It was always the risk Wadda. As mentioned previously the horse has settled well back in its last few starts and has been motoring home late, possibly too late. I thought after the claim and the soft track the horse would overturn its fortunes.
  23. I agree Macca. In baseball there’s no worrying about the tie as extra innings count to the end result. I’ll continue with the line bets in the MLB also. Sorry, I didn’t mean it to sound bad, you win some, you lose some. Soccer is impossible to predict sometimes but for some reason I persist with it.
  24. Best Bets multi ( gallopers) is on. Odds of $145 after the multiplier. Sports multi off to a shaky start, reload fellas. Roughead a late out for the Hawks.
  25. Let’s play ball!! Decent variety of sports in there Wadda and like @Macca said, we can always go to the bullpen if we strike out early, pun intended.?
