A Day at the Races
One of my previous bests Mongolian Wolf is running in the race Macca. From Adelaide to Newcastle, now Benalla, takes covering distance to a new meaning. Are you going the usual tri or is there a runner that sticks out in your mind?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I’m the same DOF, I don’t know much about these things either and only quoted you to continue with the AFL Tonight theme that you mentioned. I was surprised to hear such a figure to be honest, especially with reports that Hogan is on that type of money at the moment as possibly our highest paid player. It could well be a case of May trying to get best possible price for himself. I was told last week in Perth the meeting between May and us was initiated by May’s management only a couple of weeks ago which I believe has already been mentioned on here. I’m not sure how reliable that is as I remember another poster mentioning these talks have been ongoing for a while now.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
De Stoop and Tom Morris also touched on what May might be seeking in terms of dollars and length of contract from GCS on AFL Tonight. Morris stated around 800k-900k or potentially more per year for 6 years. I’m curious, does anyone think he’s worth that much?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
It was reported a meeting between Jesse’s management and the club was arranged for today. Is that correct? Hopefully we hear something, I dislike this feeling of hanging on to very slim hope he will turn around and say he’s staying.

A Day at the Races
Thanks Macca. I think I might be leaving the Sydney races on all day Saturday, I don’t think I can handle watching the Pies in a GF. I quickly had a look at the fields above and there are some quality horses going around at great value ( double figure odds for some). Friday gives me an opportunity to study a lot more, I will change the method this week. I will look for horses around the $20 and above which i believe are genuine winning chances. That and the best bets of course.

Yep, sit back and enjoy the cheese.

Farewell Dean Kent
Shame his body couldn’t hold up. Enjoyed watching him at full flight and gave us one of the best moments in 2018 with his long goal in the West. Good luck Kenty, hope it works out for you.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Not really keen on May, doesn’t inspire from what I have seen so far. What’s his tribunal record like out of curiosity?

Rumour File
There was a poster a month or so back that claimed Weideman was going to request a trade to the Cats. Supposedly it came from a family member. Anyone remember that post?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Absolute BS!! You’ve labelled Jesse a staging sook many times. That’s not a discussion. Members have provided stats and their reasons for wanting to keep him and you’ve rubbished them.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
You constantly post members on here should ban themselves from this forum and they should feel embarrassed when posting opinions. Now you tell them to shove stats up their backside. Why don’t you have an exit interview from here and make sure the door doesn’t hit you on the backside on the way out you troll.

Post Match Discussion - Preliminary Final
This what I noticed also early in the game behind the goals. I didn’t understand the zoning early in the game. We had Jetta and Lewis chasing shadows. It seemed the press was too high again, Simpson certainly put a lot of homework into us. Ryan and Rioli were used as defensive wide half forward flankers especially when we tried to transition the ball out of the backline. It seemed a smart move to use their quickest players to block the wide areas so we wouldn’t get a quick outlet using the width. When we did go down the line it almost always created a stoppage or if we tried going through the middle their midfield was outnumbering us and was ready to pounce causing multiple turnovers resulting in scores. From where I was sitting every possession looked like a real struggle. As bad as we were they were equally as good in my opinion. Shame really, not just for the Melbourne supporters at the ground but all in general. None of us had the chance to cheer anything after the team ran out and it was a real shock knowing the game was over 10 minutes into the second quarter. Disappointing end no doubt but hopefully we come out bigger and better next season. The stadium was unbearable by the way.

A Day at the Races
Thanks Wadda. That stadium was unbearable yesterday. We are at the gate lounge for a midnight ( Perth time) flight home and of course it’s been delayed. Didn’t see much racing yesterday, will try and catch some replays tomorrow.

Who was our Mr September?
Harmes in my opinion. Very good in all three games.

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
Yes, mate said to him we want to see a Melbourne v Coll GF and that’s how he responded. Probably trying to calm our nerves down. He was good value.

GAMEDAY - Preliminary Final vs Eagles
We just ran into Razor and his buddies. Told Nicholls to keep walking, we only wanted a photo with Razor. Believe it or not, he said our boys have got this. No idea what this means.

Who's going to Perth?
Anyone heading to Fremantle to watch the game tonight?
