A Day at the Races
It’s one of two things Wadda. 1. It’s meant to be our lucky day. 2. Tab knows we have no hope of collecting and is simply teasing us. I’ll take option 1.

A Day at the Races
Wow, I just placed my multi via the wife’s ( mine really) TAB account and after using the multiplier option it gave me 3x the odds. Instead of $38.30 my price is now $114.90. Let this be the day fellas!!

A Day at the Races
Haha, Brown will be too strong one on one in my opinion, unless they are using Howe to sit off him a bit and come in as a leaper/spoiler to limit the long Brown reach. This thread is going well early, a little bit too serious on the footy side of the forum at the moment. Our BBs on soon. Good luck all.

A Day at the Races
If this racing caper doesn’t work out for us we could always start a team of 3 for dart pub leagues.

A Day at the Races
Good job Macca. I was going to have a go now at the next at Flem but with 20 runners down the straight....I’d be throwing darts.

A Day at the Races
Yes that’s right Macca. We’ve been near enough the mark with our selections. We’ve been doing this for a while now and have at least found some horses to follow, whether we are on them when they win is another matter, but like you said that’s the game. Regardless of quality running around, the Flemington track comes up a treat every time. Been watching patterns early on and will start my venture soon.

A Day at the Races
Good start to the day for one punter. Shortly before R2 commenced at Doomben the Sky host was alerted by Tab that a punter had a 15K multi going at $6. His first leg was the favourite at Townsville R1 which saluted into the favourite at Doomben R2. Edit: Miles Of Krishan wins the second at Flem. That was one of your previous bests @Macca from memory. Nice win price too.

A Day at the Races
They really need to introduce winter racing on Friday nights at the Valley. Beats watching some of these horror Friday night AFL games. Forgot to mention earlier. The boys from work have a runner tomorrow at Morphetville Race 6 Number 5 Captain Harry ($7.50). It ran a couple of weeks ago at Caulfield where it failed. Again, maybe just an interest runner simply because the Weir factor and choosing to take the horse to Adelaide.

A Day at the Races
That would be some win if we can get up tomorrow night Wadda. I notice the Dees have the wobbles in the markets after Hibbo’s quad injury. The races have been somewhat of a grind this winter, a couple of winners here and there have kept the ledger even to a degree. Bring on the spring I say. As @Macca stated - We’re due! A Best Bet multi win and a Dees win down at Sleepy Hollow? I’d like to see that!

A Day at the Races
Best Bet: Randwick R7 No3 - I Thought So $4.00 This is a very tricky race. The horse might go on with it now after breaking a run of outs. Hasn’t won on a Good track but he only just missed back on the 26th of May on the same track and distance on a Good track. It’s in good form, barrier 1 and with Shinn to ride, I believe it’s a realistic chance of winning. Haha @Macca Were we studying the form at the same time??

Angus Brayshaw
Anothe Gus article. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/angus-brayshaw-turns-around-a-career-in-jeopardy-from-concussions-into-a-rich-vein-of-form/news-story/997fa51ee958d28271f0afe65830879c Nice numbers from R6-R17 with 94% midfield time. Brayshaw has averaged 29 disposals per game, ranked 15th in the competition. He’s averaged 507 metres gained per game (ranked No. 9 in the AFL), six inside-50s (No. 6) and eight score involvements (No. 6) across those outings. Please be right Milkshake. Now all the Dees need is for the young gun — who is out of contract at the end of the year — to sign on. That said, it seems a matter of when, not if, that occurs. “I think that’s not too far away,” Melksham said.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Excellent....palpitations first thing in the morning after reading the title. We need another contract from Jesse after 2019. Make no mistake, he’s yet to hit his peak, his forward craft is elite, he’s often double teamed, his movements inside 50 make him extremely hard to match up on and to say we could do without him in the next few years is wrong. T Mac is a star but it’s both that make us potent. Anyway, thanks Boomer.

A Day at the Races
Received a tip. Caulfield R8 No4 Lord Sundowner $19 & $5 Horse was bolting last start and was held up. Jock stopped riding as he had nowhere to go. Let’s hope the same doesn’t occur as he’s drawn barrier 3 and likes to settle near the lead. I’ll pop a few each way, in case of the you know.......“PL syndrome”.

A Day at the Races
Masculino is in the same race as my best Wadda. Quinella is settled then. I fiddled around on Tab and you can put Redkirk Warrior in a multi.

France by a two goal margin.

A Day at the Races
Best Bet: Caulfield R6 No 3 Mount Kilcoy $2.80 Weir/Allen combo. Terrific in defeat the last two starts, on the quick backup but you can’t question Weir. Down in the weights again and the form is screaming out for a win. Bloodlines indicate the step up in distance is ideal.

I can only guess he was told by Sloane’s sister.

The Soccer thread
Stones and Maguire losing concentration and allowing Mandzukic to slip in behind them to score Croatia’s most famous ever goal. Clinical finish too by the striker. A lot of current and former Spurs players running around out there tonight.

A Day at the Races
That’s exactly what mate just said to me. It was very hard to ignore a win like that. Like you said Macca, Black Book for Gold Mag. Thanks for the article. Some talk El struggled with the step up to 1200m but he was happy overall with the run. Not a fan of the jock but he admitted the ride was a good one today. They’ll find a suitable race soon we hope. The day ended up a good one in the end, I could no longer ignore Williams, backed his runner in the last. Got upwards of $14 with the boost.?

A Day at the Races
Apologies for the shot, not sure why it’s come up like that. Couldn’t resist, Williams is a legend!

A Day at the Races
G’day Macca. Gold Mag was very impressive. That was some turn of foot. El ran a good race, did a bit of work early and was a little under pressure upon straightening but fought well to the line. I didn’t get the full rundown as connections were quick to leave after the race. Will have some more when I speak to mate later on. El was quite agitated an hour before the race win the traffic surrounding his stall. They had to move him to a quiet location, maybe that had a part to play. Not the result they wanted but another race will pop up soon. I’ve taken a couple of pics but I’m having trouble uploading them for some reason.

A Day at the Races
‘ Outback Warrior’ & ‘Gold Mag’ were impressive in their debuts and won by decent margins Macca. Both show ability, but like you said there’s a number of lightly raced horses and sometimes the jump from maiden grade to a BM64 isn’t always plain sailing. This really is a good race for betting especially the exotics. Spoke to mate yesterday and they are 95% certain they will run tomorrow. Horse is also nominated for Sale on Thursday but with the track rated a Heavy8 down there Sandown is a better option. I will head down to the track tomorrow, it’s been a while since I had a ticket printed from an old style bookie. Looking forward to it.

A Day at the Races
El Magnificence has accepted for Race 3 at Sandown on Wednesday. Full field of 16 to go around at this stage which makes it a tricky affair. El has drawn barrier 10 in what should really be a competitive race and a lottery to be honest. It’s a BM64 and nothing really separates all horses in the ratings. Highest rated horse is at 65 and lowest at 61. Some of the 65 rated horses have placed an apprentice on board as they were lumped with in excess of 60kg. No odds available as yet. https://www.racenet.com.au/racing-form-guide/sandown-20180711/le-pine-funerals-handicap-race-3 Edit: Bet365 have a market open. He’s $10 and $3.40. Fifth/sixth pick. Fav is at $5 (7).

He needs to slow down a tad. His price is surely rising, what would he be worth?
