  1. Best Bet. Flemington R4 No.3 Remember The Name TAB Odds: $5.00 In terrific form and has run some quick sectionals of late. Tricky field with the top 4 all a genuine chance of winning but i like to stick with winning form in similar class. That makes Oliver riding two of our “ Bests” tomorrow.
  2. Rampe stated in an article during the week that the Swans “ Walk Taller” with him in the side. In that slugfest last night his tackle count was 0 and struggled big time to get to contests. Injuries could be the major reason for his decline and if it’s true that we are interested in him, that’s a major gamble by us imo.
  3. I probably wouldn’t go near him by these numbers and when you say he’s in a decline you weren’t wrong. Dan HANNEBERY GOALS 0 BELOW AVG GAMES PLAYED 10 KICKING EFFICIENCY 52.8 BELOW AVG CLEARANCES 2 BELOW AVG CONTESTED POSSESSIONS 7 BELOW AVG EFFECTIVE DISPOSALS 13.1 BELOW AVG AFL PREMIERSHIP 2018 STATISTICS AS AT ROUND 15 The numbers are stark. 2016 average 2016 rank (out of top 120 mids) 2018 average 2018 rank (out of top 121 mids) Disposals 30.8 5 19.1 83 Kick rating -3.3% 96 -14.3% 121 Metres gained 427m 13 199m 112 Contested possessions 13.2 10 7 90 Uncontested possessions 17.8 11 11.9 67 Clearances 4.7 36 2 89 Score involvements 7 12 3.4 108 Pressure points 44.2 36 31.4 99 Perhaps the most staggering part of Hannebery's descent is he's still only 27 and should be in the prime of his career. His foot skills have been worse than any other midfielder in the AFL with his kick rating at -14.3 per cent.
  4. Can we transfer our Round 21 game against the Swans to the SCG?
  5. Why do I bother with BT and his LLLLLLLOOOOOOYYYYDDDD?
  6. His best football came as a deep forward last year. In the absence of Jesse he was a match winner more than once ( QB, ESS). If it’s simply a confidence issue play him in his best position. Let him clunk a few up forward and hope he gets his range back. I believe he would offer more than 4 possessions ( Hannan) if allowed to use his strengths. I thought he battled hard against the Saints, a better showing than previous weeks anyway. Rotating between the centre square and half forward isn’t working. You could argue we don’t need to play him deep as we are the number one team for marks inside 50. My belief is you need to play him in a position where he can impact the most.
  7. Uruguay v France Brazil v Belgium Russia v Croatia Sweden v England 2-3 Predicting the Swe v Eng to be an all-time classic quarter-final. Kane to score the winner in the 91st.
  8. @Macca $1.45 for Nature Strip with TAB. $ 71 El Magnificence. The roughest in the race.
  9. Same with many supporters at the ground. Many walked out after Steven kicked the goal on Oscar late in the last. When word filtered out that the margin was back to 14, then 8, hang on a minute let’s go back in, then 2 points, hope was restored and everyone watched the last 30 seconds on the screens around the thoroughfare. Not sure why as there is a delay on those screens. When the siren went it was like having faeces thrown at you twice in one day.
  10. Goodwin stated in his presser Baker is in the mix to debut. Yes/No?
  11. Are these ratings for this year or measured over a couple of seasons? Sloane has only played 5 games this year.
  12. No odds up as yet after looking at multiple sites. You’d imagine as short as last start Macca. El Magnificence has drawn near the grandstand rail this time so here’s hoping he’s a sneaky chance for a top 4 finish. That is of course if the pattern suits that side of the track.
  13. Same. We did bring him in against North after one four goal game in a VFL practise match but I guess he did have a more solid block of training behind him then.
  14. El Magnificence to take on Nature Strip again in the listed A.R. Creswick Series Final ( R7) this Saturday at Flemington over 1200m.
  15. Wow, I got sucked in as well!! Well played Pew!
  16. No lack of work rate from you Skuit. The Lever and Kent reasons, classic.
  17. If we guess correctly will you tell?? Sloane.
  18. Goodwin feeling angry and frustrated wasn’t only post match. Lewis stated we weren’t playing how we wanted to play, hence Goodwin’s frustration throughout the game. Lewis also said we had 3-4 players that he felt were playing they way we wanted to play. To me it sounds like Goodwin tried to convey a message at quarter time, half time and three quarter time and it obviously didn’t get through to the players for one reason or another. You simply can’t eject someone that’s not pulling their weight on game day. We await selection with great interest.
  19. That’s one way to stop being injury prone. They have a magic formula over there keeping gun players fit. Scary though, if it happens.
  20. His pass to Fritsch in the first quarter, exhibit A.
  21. Maybe we could do with more KPD and maybe we couldn’t. Your list highlights that other teams have a backline that’s been together for a number of years, some good ones and some not so good. Unfortunately we make do with what we have at the moment but they aren’t the issue in my opinion. Sicily is not key position.
  22. You have to feel for Japan. What a comeback by Belgium. With seconds remaining and Japan having a corner, they left themselves vulnerable at the back. I realise they wanted to win the game but to leave themselves exposed to a 5 on 3 counter attack starting from the Belgian keeper is a little perplexing. Brazil too clinical for Mexico. What a tournament!!
  23. No knock on your opinion Febes, picturing that ladder if your close with it gives me nightmares. Hodge has signed one more year with the Lions i believe?
  24. Brisbane to win more games than us from here? So glad they recently opened a Sporting Globe Bar & Grill 5 minutes up the road. Membership to good use then.
