  1. 2000 QF final against the Blues for me. So many players without impact for 3 quarters and up step 2 unlikely heroes in the final quarter. Probably the biggest buzz I’ve experienced for an entire quarter. Sat in a Carlton section that day and boy were their fans giving it to us at three quarter time. The look on their faces after the final siren will never be forgotten. We just smiled at them as they made their way out in misery. Will never ever get sick of watching the replay of that last quarter and Commeti’s commentary, “ Bruce an unlikely hero, the rookie, the rookie.”
  2. Ha Ha you guys, the lucky streak has coincided with the newest little fella arriving 10 weeks ago. I’m the go to guy for late night bottle feeds, fair to say I’ve finally worked out the formula for both of us, pardon the pun.
  3. Many disappointments over the years. Round 11 2015 against the Saints when Montagna ripped out the heart of my little fella sticks out to this day. The result had no bearing on the season, but I’ll never forget the disappointment on his face as he was then old enough to understand the game. A game we shouldn’t have lost that day after finding ourselves in front with little time left, but I realised then and there he’d gone past the point of no return. He was well and truly hooked on the Red and Blue.
  4. No point od, just wanted a taste of Thursday night team listing again.
  5. What are the chances of the squad getting named at 18:25 today?
  6. Thanks Mega, did Fritsch train today or was he was off training with his AFLX squad?
  7. I gave the club a call a short time ago and was told it’s a 10am start.
  8. No disrespect intended @Macca. I often watch highlights of all leagues in my spare time during the week as I enjoy the sport punt or no punt. My reaction was to do with the content and the chances Napoli missed, that’s football though. My pick was no good, I’m actually quite interested to see the stats/record of the top teams in their domestic leagues on the weekend following midweek Champions League/Europa League/Domestic cups. The schedule seems quite daunting sometimes.
  9. Wow, when the ball doesn’t want to go in, it just doesn’t go in.
  10. Ohh, Viney, Viney, Viney, please play a full season. He looks ready to rip everyone a new one in that pic.
  11. Daisy was spot on with her ‘gimmicky tournament’ comment all those months ago. The season should have been extended after the introduction of two new teams. Everyone plays each other once and be done. Can’t imagine what will happen next year when more teams come in. The AFLW doesn’t need to compete with the mens game, it needs to become the most popular female competition in the country and this isn’t the way the AFL should be going about growing the game in my opinion. The players sacrifice a lot for a 7 week season in the hottest month of the year. Our Demons have been very enjoyable to watch this season, probably more so than the previous two and we as fans should be peeved if we miss finals due to this botched system.
  12. Which version of our theme song did they play after the game? Sounded like the updated version they were thinking of bringing in last year.
  13. Cheers @Macca @Wadda We Sing for the reports. I only watched our 3BBs races on the phone yesterday and heard the Winx race whilst on the road. Managed to finish slightly in front for the day thanks to Amphitrite.
  14. It was mentioned a few times on the telecast she’d been reported for the late hit in the second quarter. Hopefully the AFL app is correct.
  15. It’s not a good look at all. Carlton won their first game in 12 months this weekend and are currently holding down a finals spot.
  16. Terrific team performance today. I thought Pearce was best on, she was brilliant and dominant all day. Bring on Norf, the only downer was Cunningham on report.
  17. Personally, I don’t read too much into that. It gets mentioned a lot on here about Jesse’s stats last season against the ‘top’ sides. Although they don’t read too well it’s a very small sample size in my opinion. We won more games than we lost in 2017 when Max was out with his 9-10 week hammie pop. We are quick to forget Hogan kicked 85 goals in 2015-16 in a team that didn’t make finals and won 17 games combined. The Weid replaced him after our terrible loss to Sydney late in the year and the team caught fire for a few weeks. We can’t possibly say how Hogan would’ve performed had he not got injured. I believe Weid has the attributes to become a very good footballer for the MFC. Great mark, good kick, strong and will only get stronger and many of us were absolutely thrilled at some of his performances late on. Long may it continue.
  18. The players will have the option of having their surname or a nickname on the back of their jumpers during AFLX. It’s worth tuning in to see what T Mac runs with. I’m hoping it’s Tomald. From AFL site- THE AFL will revisit names on the back of guernseys for the realestate.com.au AFLX tournament at Marvel Stadium next Friday night.
  19. Getting in early, busy weekend coming up. Monday Best. French Ligue 1 Monday at 07:00 St Etienne v PSG PSG Win & Over 2.5 Match goals $2.20
  20. May looked good jumping and dunking basketballs from some of the video clips taken at Family Fun Night on Wednesday.
  21. I was one of those adults a few Sundays ago Macca. Margaret Court Arena held the ‘Fortnite Summer Smash’ during the Aus Open and there must’ve been at least 5,000 people that attended. Son and nephew were really keen to go, I wasn’t at all, but they convinced me when they told me Jack Viney (he was eliminated early by the way) would be appearing in the ‘Pro Am’ event later in the day. 100 gamers battled it out for nearly 7 hours for a share in 400k with the winner walking away with 100k. I tried to look as relevant as the next parent. Most parents including myself had no clue as to what we were watching. Ticketek charged $5 for children and $54 for an adult. Insanity, but each to their own I guess. Luckily the bars were open.
  22. Good, might be fine tuning our plan of attack for the big scratch match next week. Give the enemy nothing.
