This thread is about to ignite. Jetta hurt himself against the Saints? Most saw him struggling prior.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Let’s try our hardest to stay positive until quarter time at least. Put your coaches hats on and discuss how we can win. Bring in some fresh legs for starters, I’ve read suggestions we should go man on man. Can we sustain that for 4 quarters? Toiges have a plethora of zippy small forwards that’s why Hunt goes back for me especially if Jeffy comes in. He was good on Motlop Round 1. At least he has the speed to keep up and make it harder for them. Weid and T Mac need to clunk a few early and get some confidence providing our delivery is much improved. Max and Nank should have an interesting battle. The Nank likes to push forward and is capable of kicking at least a couple. If they are to beat us at least make them earn their goals for the entirety.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
What do we do with him? Saw him warming up with the midfield group pre game and thought maybe he will play in the middle in spurts. Then I saw him head to the wing and instantly thought he might line up closer to the defensive 50 so he can be the spare in defence after the bounce which is probably his most suitable role but no, he stayed on the wing and was on Newnes early from memory. As mind blowing as seeing Hibbo go to Membrey at the opening bounce.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Been the mantra for a while now. Numbers, numbers, numbers to the contest. Observation from behind goals in 1st and 3rd quarters. I thought Frost busted his guts and did the work of two defenders yesterday. He often had to cover loose Saints’ forwards and won his fair share of contests inside our defensive 50. Our one dimensional plan of bombing to contests down the wing is a key ingredient to a recipe for disaster. It would work if someone could take a contested mark to at least make the opposition accountable and open up the game a bit. Think back to Tim O’Brien for Hawks against us in 2017 when we had them on toast but he constantly provided an outlet with his contested marking on the wing. When the ball hits the ground you are simply not going to win every contest, but we think we will with most of our half backs/mids sucked in to that loose ground ball. Again like the Dons game the Saints set up beautifully with a couple of loose men in the middle and outer wing. Bang, they win the ball on the wing, switch to the middle and then to the other side and get us on the counter. Frost now, after originally sprinting 50m and winning the ball in the back half now has to sprint another 50m across the arc to cover more loose men while some of our other defenders/wingmen are still plodding back to defensive 50 with hands on hips. I felt for him and wouldn’t have blamed him if he took himself off for a breather. I always thought the lack of switching by us was by design. Not so sure now, the oppo seems so well set up we simply don’t have the options to switch. When an opportunity arises our mids seem to be jogging across the ground, I’d like to think it’s a fitness issue rather than laziness. It was a filthy day yesterday and never have I seen so many supporters leave at 3 quarter time in Round 5 of a season. Don’t blame them really.

Changes vs Richmond
For now. In : O Mac, Lockhart, Garlett. Out: Wagners, Spargo O Mac surely gets back in if Jumping Jack plays. Frost to Lynch. At least with O Mac the Richmond talls will be forced to jump to mark the ball. Fritsch and Hibbo are not key defenders. Hore can go to Caddy and try to run off him, Hunt can go back to play on their mozzie fleet.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Yep, the backline was all over the shop like the Dons game. Hibbo went to Membrey in the goal square at the start of the game. Definitely a wtf moment before the ball was even bounced.

Haha, you guys are good, it’s the accidental pressing of the podcast play button in the middle of the night that’s made me jump a few times. Short turnaround after this weekend, do we rest @binman?

Whole Game 666
The warning system is a joke for incorrectly setting up 6-6-6. After Gold Coast hit the front with 10 seconds to go they lined up with only one player on a wing. The far wing had no Gold Coast player. What’s the point of giving a team a warning with 10 seconds to go?

Casey Demons v North Melbourne VFL - Round 2
Are we getting ‘All The Goals’ from Casey games this year? VFL site has a 2 minute highlight package, you wouldn’t think we won by 9 goals though. https://vfl.com.au/highlights-vfl-round-2-2019/
