Round 11 Non MFC games
Carlton supporters at work are telling me they want to lose so Bolton can get the sack. Essendon supporters would also prefer to lose so Worsfold is sacked. Tipping a draw for that one.

CASEY: Rd 9 vs Werribee Tigers
This one is a tad exciting as a warm up to our Darwin game. Might be well worth the trip out there weather permitting. Quite a bit to look forward to.

Field Layout & Player Placement
We had our own version of the mosquito fleet going on in the 3rd quarter last week for at least 3 centre bounces. HF: Baker, Spargo, Stretch FF: Hunt, Garlett, Lockhart.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Adelaide
I think you have the Wagners mixed up. Josh was the one that got more of the ball, Corey was one of the players that offered the no support from further up the field you speak of. All I’m saying from my observations, Corey struggled to transition from the forward line to defence. I did see him try and run with Whitfield at times and couldn’t keep up, not many would though. Just the way I saw it dimmy, nothing personal against Corey.

Is play-on at all costs still the way to go?
Agree, just look back to our 6 game winning streak last year. Ball movement was precise and fluent. Hogan, T Mac ( upon returning), Melksham, were firing. Add ANB, Trac and Hannan who were a great support cast. Every player seemed to know where to run in every forward chain from the back. Lever started hitting his straps by then also. The team was very settled. The game in Alice last year is a prime example. We had players that would turn as soon as they received and off one step would hit a target 50m down the line. Some games seemed like training runs for us. Daisy made the comment during that wonderful patch that not only did we move fast but we did learn to slow the game down too when needed. We had a good mix of fast and slow ball movement, totally different after our 2 and 3 start. Unfortunately this season there’s been so much shuffling the deck has been worn out.

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Adelaide
In: ANB, Salem, Weid, JKH Out: Spargo, Petty, Smith, C Wagner Risky call to bring JKH back after one game but i have more faith in him than Wagner at the moment and from all reports he didn’t miss a beat. Unfortunately Wagner has looked lost during our defensive zone set ups from what I have seen of him live.

Orange people evicted
Saw that, don’t know exactly what happened. They were seated in level 2 of Northern and Melbourne fans from Level 1 were looking up and cheering the eviction. Edit: Isn’t Level 2 Northern a premium reserved seating area for us?

CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Adelaide
Smother the balls with vaseline at training all week. This is the humid of the NT games right?

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs GWS
De Boer has many scalps this season tagging, there’s another one. Not that it would have made a difference but why not throw Oliver forward in patches and bring Gus back in the middle.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
He must be a really good trainer, selection not warranted at all today based on a quiet Casey game 3-4 weeks ago after omission and then a couple of weeks off with some kind of foot issue. Again, what was his role today? Hardly saw him at the fall of the ball in the forward line, did see him deep in defence a few times. At least they had a plan albeit unsuccessfully with C Wagner for a while and that was to try and stick with Whitfield from the GWS half back line.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs GWS
Can someone please explain the role of Spargo today? I was there and for the life of me I couldn’t work it out. Hasn’t played for nearly a month and yet gets the late call up to replace our best player for the year possibly. When you bring players in the team you hope they at least have some impact. C Wagner and Spargo brought nothing, they weren’t alone though. Max led our possessions, we need to clone him. For at least three consecutive centre bounces in the third our forward 6 were, Lockhart, Spargo, Garlett, Hunt, Stretch and Baker. Not sure if by design or due to T Mac moving back and Smith copping a knock again. Odd set up i thought at the time. From ground level the Giants looked too explosive for us at stoppages and used the ball really well. Beaten by a much better team today.

Williamstown v Casey Demons - Round 8
Not Casey D Zone, it was a typo, we’re down 77-61.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs GWS
Junk time hasn’t even commenced yet. Can’t believe my eyes that quarter, so many jogging around just pointing to GWS players.

Round 10 Non MFC Games
Angry man at the moment, he swung with his left first and missed. I don’t think anyone can help him with this one but, AFL and fair dinkum split up a long time ago.

Round 10 Non MFC Games
No way did it look like 80,000 plus at the G from the TV, a Richmond mate at the game isn’t paying it either. Did they take pre sales into account?

Round 10 Non MFC Games
Ablett can’t keep his hands down. Nice little jab on Miles’ chin. Let’s see how this plays out.

The 2019 Mid Season Draft
Anyone know anything about Frank Anderson? There’s been a fair bit of talk about him on radio in the last few days. Frank Anderson has gone from obscurity to intriguing prospect ahead of Monday's NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft http://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-05-25/from-suburban-footy-to-centrestage-ballwinners-blistering-rise
