Never raced under 1100m before, don’t think that will be an issue. I’m finding it a tricky race to be honest. $2.60 for Nature Strip screams throw me in a multi. Interesting to see what they do. If Tomlinson isn’t quite ready J Smith is the other option to play early. They might also stick with just May and Lever with Hunt coming back in. If Luke Breust has rated elite as a general defender I wonder how he rated as a forward.

It was definitely a major setback for him Its Time. There was discussion somewhere that Weid played with sore hips in 2020 you’re right there, I just can’t remember if he did have hip surgery post 2020.

In regards to Weid I don’t believe this is correct. From memory the club discovered a femur issue with Weid mid Feb 2021 and up to that point he was having a really solid pre-season from all reports. The conversation back then was how unfortunate the timing of the injury was.

That was a gift Macca and all Tartt did was return it to sender. My son and I couldn’t believe it when he dropped it but these things often happen in big games, there’s always something to talk about. All the best in the big one Gorg, been on holidays the last couple of weeks and as a neutral with the tipping comp here as the only vested interest I’ve been very lucky to witness half a dozen cracking games.

Fantastic finals series and an exceptional GF by Jack. The more you watch the GF replay or highlights the more you notice Jack’s leadership and team first mentality off the ball. Leading up to Fritsch’s 4th ( the jump and recover goal) you’ll notice Oliver and Viney run forward after Trac’s kick out of the centre square and as Jack is about to enter our forward 50 at full tilt he motions back to Trac to stay put with the lagging Dogs’ mids. Might not seem like much and some players can be excused for forgetting an instruction or two in the heat of battle but it just demonstrates why we had the season we did.

We get to watch these two blokes throw the ball a while longer. Unreal stuff
