  1. Great defences take time to build. Our guys haven’t played enough games together yet. We lose Lever who plays beyond his years and you need a replacement that at the moment is not capable of playing to Lever’s standard. The Swans are a great example. They have lost the inside 50 count 7 times this year, with differentials ranging from -4 to -24 and have won all 7 games.
  2. Do they have another small forward that’s struggling to get a game as well? Stengle I believe....do you know much about him?
  3. How do you miss a player that is a 4-6 week proposition? Apparently he was in a moon boot last week. Strange nonetheless.
  4. .....and don’t forget a shite Hawthorn the week after they were creamed by the Saints down in Tassie.
  5. The Cup that keeps on giving. Unbelievable drama to finish off Group B. You can’t script this stuff. Missed penalties, VAR intervention, cracking goals. Iran almost sent Portugal packing, a one on one at the death and fluffs the shot wide. Iran would have topped the group. Agony!!
  6. Indeed way low! 8 weeks given to Plugger for breaking Caven’s nose and these guys are talking 4-5 weeks for Cameron after what he did?
  7. Totally irrelevant on the quality and character of a player or past incidents. This could have serious implications for Andrews. I won’t give a second thought about Cameron when he retires.
  8. God...hope the kid is alright. You’d assume this goes straight to the tribunal and they better have the balls to suspend him for the rest of the season like you said.
  9. Is the game being played the way it is because a coach decided to be innovative in game style or are coaches now planning styles after all this new data/statistical analysis was introduced? Either way, it’s one big mess, a shite spectacle and impossible to umpire. Someone mentioned how hard it is to explain the rules to a person new to the game. You wouldn’t know where to start. The inconsistencies are glaring, more so than previous years I feel. So much running in games these days it’s almost like they have to blow the whistle for a rest.
  10. I did see 10-7 at one stage...now 28-11.
  11. Cheers. Tuned in late, Casboult broke his finger in the warm-up? Stiff.
  12. Are Carlton doing a T Mac move with Rowe going forward?? Come on the Baggers!!
  13. I think the question is not the right one. I don’t believe we need saving at 8-5. A better question would be can we improve as the year goes on? Most definitely IMO...and just remember what happened around this time last year. We weren’t blessed on the injury front as it was, then we lost some more key personnel. Goodwin has a lot more to work with than this time last year.
  14. Unbelievable. Heartbreaking for the Swedish fans. This is turning out to be one hell of a tournament with so much more still to play out. Mexico is my “Smokey”, never underestimate the Central Americans. ‘Chicharito’ with his 50th international goal for the Mexicans.
  15. Well done Macca. Phew, that was a tight finish. The caller thought ‘ City Light’ nosed out ‘Merchant Navy’. Thanks for posting the replay. Nice trifecta divvy on the Vic tote.
  16. That bet should not have lost binman. The close misses are piling up this weekend. Unlucky mate.
  17. Well done Wallis!! Out on the full, are you serious??
  18. Marcus Adams goes alright, that is when he’s not injured.
  19. O Mac can accept a $2000 fine for the Marshall clash. Careless conduct with low impact to the head as judged by Mr MRO. Some of us believed it didn’t deserve a 50m penalty. I thought you were allowed to compete for the ball. What’s one to do when in midair? Stick out an elbow out like Jeremy Cameron?
  20. 5 mins to go second quarter. Dogs 6-3-39 Free kicks 25 Norf 2-3-15
  21. We almost had the tri, at least I thought I did until Shillelagh came from the clouds. Very close today fellas.
  22. Jetta- Knight him already.
  23. Call me silly but I can see 3 wins at least in there with their effort last night and a few tweaks. Tough?? Yes....but not impossible.
  24. Not that it would have made a difference but I did speak to mate prior to the race and connections were a bit perplexed why they went with Park as the jockey. They wanted the same apprentice as his first-up run so they could claim down to 51kg.
  25. Terrific win by Nature Strip. Smashed them really. El wasn’t disgraced in that grade, looked like the horse ran 1400m rather than 1100m by the time it took to get to the outside rail. Hopefully he’ll be better for the run.
