  1. I know the Demons supporters were down on Sunday (Yes, I did go), but when you consider things such as; 1 - Getting beaten by over 100 points by the dorks 8 weeks ago, 2 - The fact that we have only won one game this year, 3 - We only won 5 games last year, and 4 - The match was being televised at 3:00pm on 'free to air' tv. it's not a wonder there wasn't huge numbers of Melbourne supporters, despite the great mans farewell lap. After Sundays gutsy performance, there will be MUCH more interest. When we win, they will come! Selleys will have to produce heaps more "no More Gaps" to fill up the woodwork! Moose
  2. I like the Sunday games - even though kids have early morning sport, we sill get there. The cost of a train ticket is only $3.00 - so that means $12 for my family. Is about $30 any other day. Considering $1:50 per litre and $8 parking if I was to drive (would use the car on Friday/Saturday nights games), this makes it much, much more affordable. Can't see why Connex can't make Saturday fares cheap too. Moose
  3. So when do we get a round for blonde haired players, or those over 6' tall, or left footers etc. Everyone who has played VFL/AFL has contributed - why do we need to highlight the efforts (no matter how spectacular) of any particular group? This is NOT a racist comment, but exactly the opposite - everyone should be represented. In my opinion, the All 'Star' game tried to do that. Moose
  4. Bartram will get back to his best once his confidence is restored after coming back from injury. Don't forget how in 2006 he tagged the top players from each club and did it brilliantly. Give him a bit more time, we won't be disappointed. Moose
  5. Moloney was tough and really punished a few Dorks with some strong hip and shoulders - really ruffled a few feathers early. Nice to see some tough (legal) body contact, Moose
  6. Don't agree with the Miller assessment either - presented well and is getting more confident. Warnock - Yes has finally adjusted to the tempo of the game and has certainly 'arrived'. Is always backing up other defenders. Does lots of shepherding and punching - going well. Moose
  7. Thought that it was great that Alastair Clarkson ran across the MCG and up to Neita to shake his hand - 20 minutes before the game was about to start too. Also the line up of all players at the end was a great touch too! Thanks Neita - LEGEND! Moose
  8. OK - thanks for the reply. Moose
  9. The Tasmanian Dorks have no depth (their VFL side is last) and after todays performance, a couple of injuries REALLY hurts them. Dork supporters don't need to worry about standing in line for a grand final ticket this year. Sick of hearing the hype on the radio after their win declaring that they are now premiership favourites. Spare me - it was 1st VS 16th! LOL Moose
  10. I was at the game with a Dork supporter who was even more bemused (and confused) about a few decisions that went against the Demons today. Interested to know others 'un-biased' opinion. 1. Free kick against Jamar at centre bounce where opposition ruckman stopped and just stood in the middle of the ircle, Jamar jumps over him and gets tunnelled, but as he comes down apparently connects with the head/neck of other rckmen and gets called for 'too high'. 2. The 50m (More like 75m) penalty against Flash on the southern side wing - from which the dorks kicked a goal. 3. The tackle by Flash in front of our goals in the last quarter - easy 'holding the ball' decision, but not paid. Interested in others opinions - especially the 50m, as I was yelling too hard at the 'green maggots' and didn't see a replay. Each othese decisions cost us goals. Moose
  11. I was there and I reckon the Dorks supporters well out-numbered the MFC fans. Probably because the reckoned that they were going to [censored] us by 100 points again! The scariest part was that I reckon that in the MCC members there was 50% Dorks members! A great day spoiled by umpiring in the last quarter - [censored] happens though. Got to put it in perspective 1st Vs 16th and from what I saw they are not in the hunt for a premiership this year. Best laugh I had all day was when they hit the front and the fns were going off their nut, reminding the Dorks fans that it was 1st Vs 16th! Moose
  12. Basball Cap for me! Then I can wear it all the time and show my support of the MFC to the world Moose
  13. Still taking soothers! LOL But worth it! Moose
  14. Will do the same - and proudly! Moose
  15. There were quite a lot of people on Sunday signing up their memberships before the Freo game. Hopefully after that great win, lots more will. Moose
  16. Great Video. I especially love the bronx cheer when McDonald gets a centre clearance and kicks long to the forward line, which ends up a with Miller kicking a goal. We waited 7 weeks to see that type of football. Moose
  17. I said to the Mrs about 2 minutes from half time that we might as well get up and go - I could't bear watching Freo of all teams, [censored] my beloved demons. My 2 kids said 'no way, we want to have a kick at the end!' So we stayed and the rest is history! I wouldn't really have left then, but I wanted to. Moose
  18. Thanks for the link - spent my money on Melbourne Memberships and not Foxtel, so I hadn't seen any replays. Listen to the roar of the crowd. Moose
  19. I thought Warnock played a great game yesterday. Watching him on the back line, he read the play well and strongly contested. The confidence in this win will do him the world of good. Moose
  20. What A Day! Once again, I take the family to the MCG. This time to see the Mighty Demons take on Freo - to chalk up our first win (I hope). By half time I'm thinking, "the only thing that is stopping me from going home is the kids want to have a kick on the MCG at the end of the game!" What a turn around- pride, passion, running, accuracy, team work, endeavour, heart - you name it, the players had it. In all my years of going to Melbourne games I have never heard such passion and support from a crowd. Though the top of the stands were empty, those of us who went made enough noise to compensate. Give yourselves a pat on the back Demon Fans! We finally saw what we have been told was possible. Finally some bragging rights - and with the bye, that's 2 weeks worth! LOL Go Dee's Moose
  21. Just thinking ahead - the MFC are promoting a "Red & Blue Army Walk to the MCG" from Federation Square to the MCG on June the 9th - before our clash against Collingfilth. How many Red & Blue Army members (IE MFC members/supporters) are going to participate in this? If we can't get crowds to the game, how are we going to get people to join in this? Going to look bloody ordinary if no-one turns up. Moose
  22. Rogue - totally agree with you and your comments about Jaded. Is Jaded Caroline Wilson?
  23. Thanks deestroy8 and wrathchild for this information, Moose
  24. His records speaks for itself - he is the greatest MFC player ever. Just want to be there for his last game and help give him the send off he has earned and deserves. Moose
