  1. Would love to see Sir Garry at more club functions, but cannot deny the 'power' he has from the media. Having the front man of the Footy Show and Footy Classifieds is exposure the MFC couldn't buy. Look what Eddie has done for the Filth cause of his position. Moose
  2. Once MORTON has had a good feed and a summer in the gym - he will be great. Can't expect a youngster in the last placed team to be a stand out every week. Thank god Rocca didn't play - he would have eaten young Cale! Moose
  3. Don't know who No. 5 for Collingwood is, but they gave him the right number. He didn't get a 'hard ball' all day and was doing a lot of circle work receiving, just like the last bloke to wear it! Moose
  4. Are you sure they got the spelling right (other than the DEERAILED) - there 'no 'spell'check on a banner!
  5. Go into the MFC website and on the right hand side is an add for the Megastore, click on htis and then click on the book andfill in all your details. Looked fine to me, Moose
  6. Reckon it was 55% Collingmaggots and 45% MFC legend fans there today. What a difference it was with MFC giving away flags for the Freo and todays games. Having missed out of the free flags at the Freo game, I looked at buying flags today but at $25 bucks a pop, and I would have to buy 4 - can't justify it. Those flags would have cost the club Sweet F%$k All, but crikey it made a difference to the supporters/members. It must be an awesome sight to the players. There is NO doubt we were louder than the filth suppoters - then again it's hard to yell with no teeth! How do we know that the tooth brush was invented in Collingwood? Cause if it was invented anywhere else, it would have been called a TEETHbrush! Cheers Moose
  7. He's a swan and for other 'reasons' - he is VERY protected. The AFL would love to have an indiginous Brownlow medallist, rather than an imported Irish Brownlow Medallist, as the consecutive games record holder. That's my opinion, and from the other charges he's got off, I reckon I'm right. Moose
  8. Here's a few Cheers, Moose
  9. Was great to see the Legends do a lap at the 'G' today. (though I am getting sick of seeing relatives with players at every occasion). Was particularly pleased to hear the cheers when certain players names were announced - in particular Shane Woewodin. Though he did sweat red and blue, I agreed with the decision to sell him at the time. But gee, it was great to see him there and hear the fans give him a cheer. Must have been great for the players to run thorugh the line up of past MFC players at the start of the game. Well done MFC - it was a very well planned day - despite the loss, Moose
  10. Was disgusted to see at the 17 minute mark of the 3rd quarter when we were kicking in, that the field umpire (No. 4 who ever that twirp is) telling the Melbourne player kicking in to "hold on, hold on" from taking the kick - solely cause this maggot was not quick enough to get into position. Isn't a player allowed to kick in as quick as possible? Moose
  11. I got to Fedration Square at 11:00 with the 2 kids. Despite the drizzle there was plenty to keep us occupied. And yes, giving out the flags was a brilliant idea (as it was for the Freo game). When the march started, we were about 75 metres from the front and when going up the bridge turned around and was quite amazed by the sight of all the supporters and flags. The amount of flags waving in the ground was incredible. Well done MFC and well done to the supporters - was quite a long day wth this and the footy, but well worth the effort. Cheers, Moose
  12. Any gossip from the night - good or bad? Moose
  13. OK, now we are 7 days away from the 'Red & Blue ARmy' walk from Federation Sq to the MCG and our player ranks are suffering, I'll ask the question again, Who is going to participate in the walk before the game against the filth next week? Moose
  14. The thing that REALLY gets me about the 'Caroline Wilson Mannequin' stunt is that she accepted the apologies forth-coming to her afterwards. It doesn't matter if the public believes they were sincere or not, she accepted the apologies and wanted nothing to do with the 'formal complaint' letter that followed. The victim, being Wilson, accepted that Newman erred and that should have been the end of it. Unfortunately others saw an opening to start there own 'agenda' and take it further - what right did they have to do this when Wilson wanted no more to do with it. Obviously their insecurities came out and off they went with the letters and newspaper articles bagging Sam. Oh, that's right, I forgot, Sam's not allowed to have an opinion. As The Footy Show pointed out, Samantha Lane and the others on 'Before The Game' hung sh*t on Nick Steven's weight, but because he was a bloke, that's seems to be ok. Imagine if they hung it on the size of a woman, but no it was a bloke who was ridiculed. I gather that Stevens didn't whinge, sook up etc etc and it all went away. There are so many advertisements on TV where blokes are protrayed poorly, but who cares. If it was the other way around, the sheila's would go off their nut - sooky sooky la la's. Sam does controversial things. He does funny things and stupid things. He gets abused and ridiculed (even Legend Lyon calls him 'Fossil' - naughty naughty boy) but he cops it on the chin and dishes it out - effing good on him. To me it is more controversial having Cate Blanchett on the front of the herald Sun, supporting a rock-spider photographer taking photo's of a naked 13 year old girl and calling it 'art'. Call it 'art' and we are meant to accept that - pigs a&se! Every paedophile with kid porn on their computers will now use the excuse, "Oh, those pictures are just art." Who the f*%k is she - Queen of Australia! She reads lines written for her and acts in movies. Wow - she has an oscar - whoop de doo. She is very rich, but gets invited to the PM's meeting - the poor Aussie Battler isn't there to be heard. But there is no, or little controversy over her support of this 'Art' - imagine if Sam had taken that stance or those photo's! There are much more important issues than Sam's indiscretions. The sooner he gets better and back on the Footy Show - the better. Now back to the footy - Go Dee's. Moose
  15. Anderson is a Lawyer - so why would you expect the truth to come from his mouth! Like all Lawyers he is there for himself and no-one else. He has got no idea of the game of football and the sooners he racks off, the better. Moose
  16. Just another example of the vocal minority winning over the silent majority. Such a typical reaction to appease the weak minded. It's another example of the 'tall poppy syndrone' that unfortunatley Autralians have a poor reputation for. Yes, Sam does some things that aren't 100% funny, but get over it. If you don't like the bloke or the show, don't watch. The Footy Show is always in the top 15 rated shows for the week, so if you don't like the program turn the telly off - they don't need you! The 'people' who approach Sam for street talk are used to be photographed - usually in a line-up though! They say that 80% of the 'people' on street talk admit to having sex in the shower -the other 20% haven't been in jail yet! Enjoy the show for what it is - you can't please everyone all the time. Moose
  17. As long as they are prepared to bleed 'red and blue' - I don't really care. (well I do, but I have no say in the matter). I truely believe Dean Bailey will choose the player who is prepared to put everything on the line week in, week out. That has been obvious from watching the players recently. Moose
  18. Ross Lyon for 10 years - that's nearly as bad as Collingfilth supporters finding out there's another Cloke or Rocca brother! Moose
  19. Don't want him - simple as that. Let him be some other clubs worry. Collingfilth would be a good choice, so him, 'The Ice Man' Cousins and Diduck could go off to the bikie clubs and get their 'nutrition'! Moose
  20. Bloody interesting post - much to ponder, Will be a mighty interesting game, especially with Ross Lyon slagging his own players. Moose
  21. LOL - contender for comment of the year! Moose
  22. I'm a HUGE rap for Warnock. Other backmen know he will be there to help out with spoiling and in running the ball out of the backline. They are getting confidence in each other - a good thing which will get even better. Moose
  23. I know the Demons supporters were down on Sunday (Yes, I did go), but when you consider things such as; 1 - Getting beaten by over 100 points by the dorks 8 weeks ago, 2 - The fact that we have only won one game this year, 3 - We only won 5 games last year, and 4 - The match was being televised at 3:00pm on 'free to air' tv. it's not a wonder there wasn't huge numbers of Melbourne supporters, despite the great mans farewell lap. After Sundays gutsy performance, there will be MUCH more interest. When we win, they will come! Selleys will have to produce heaps more "no More Gaps" to fill up the woodwork! Moose
  24. Thanks for that - makes it much more affordable and easier to get to the 'G'. Moose
