  1. Bail already is better and has more upside than Scully. I say that even if Scully stayed.
  2. He looked even better in the second game.
  3. I thought Davey was a big positive, he had that goal sneak look to him that I hadn't seen for five or so years.
  4. Yes, but I just hope the balance between going wide and using the corridor is improved.
  5. His touch is 90% there, just seems to fumble a bit too often (wet or dry conditions)
  6. That was painful, let us hope that Melbourne don't play in the rain all year. In all seriousness, the obsession with kicking around the boundary is frightening, let's hope that can be rectified.
  7. www.afl.com.au
  8. Bate kicking down the boundary line gives me nightmares.
  9. Stop kicking / leading to the pockets and stop trying to kick torps!
  10. Magner and Tynan looked solid, able to win their own ball. Sellar's last kick into the forward fifty was ridiculous. Watts looked like he would rather be playing basketball. Davey showed a bit of the crumbing forward that he used to be. MItch Clark provided an option and showed some grunt as expected. Bennell was fairly average, beaten by Aaron Hall. Tom Couch and Nicholson did next to nothing. Gysberts was surprisingly quiet. All in all, tough conditions but just a few really bad decisions by the players meant that it wasn't the greatest performance.
  11. The kids looks pretty good for the Gold Coast so far.
  12. The fact that it is probably going to be played in very wet conditions means that no injuries and an extra fitness boost are probably the other things that can be taken out of the game.
  13. Be careful DA, you do know Harry O'Brien had a gun put to his head once right?
  14. What are you talking about? Without Dwayne I wouldn't know that each time a player has the ball within 100 metres of goal that he could go for a Super Goal.
  15. You're the one who should be worried with all the long kicking the team is going to do to forwards in the forward line (as per the intra club game and training). It isn't "modern football".
  16. That is a shame, he looked quite good in the intra club game.
  17. ...and the next twelves months after as well.
  18. That article hardly revealed anything we didn't already know.
  19. The red jumper the Bulldogs are wearing is just for the NAB Cup, it isn't a clash jumper. They still have the white clash jumper.
  20. One of the big concerns for the Bulldogs was on many occasions when they had the ball they straight away looked sideways, they didn't even want to know what was ahead of them.
  21. I hope Melbourne don't stuff around with the ball like the Bulldogs have tonight, shocking football.
  22. Port Adelaide have a front sponsor but no sponsor for the back as yet.
  23. At least you're not bitter about Scully leaving!
  24. I would take a lot more out of tactics than individual performances. This radical long kicking strategy has also been prominent at training sessions and was no doubt a clear instruction.
  25. Hard to take a lot out of the game in terms of individual performances, but the big thing to note was a lot of long kicking to forwards in the forward line. A lot of posters on here will be disappointed to hear this.
