I was 100% for getting Dangerfield in the last trade period, but not any more. I'm not sure why, becuase he is a star I just want to back in our current crop and focus on getting another big forward and defender.

Straight Sets Simon replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
If everyone came on to Demonland to talk about how good the club is no one would read it. -

Training reports are good for finding out about injuries, training focus (fitness or skills), how players are training and what position. But that's about it, you can't read into it too much about how a player will play in the upcoming season, becuase for the most part we already know how good a player is by watching them in games. -

If you are feeling at all nauseous, don't watch the footage of Tom McDonald kicking on his left foot during the Nathan Jones interview. -

Melbourne did heat training in Darwin previously under Neeld, not sure why it was scrapped. Financial reasons maybe? -
I heard this on the radio late last year, Clark has done the opposite to Moloney. He's gone from Brisbane to Melbourne to Geelong (Monoley did the oppositie order). What does this have to do with anything? Nothing, but I found it interesting.

Every time a new coaching regime comes in we hear how the training standards are lifting, personally I noticed very little difference between when Bailey and Neeld were coaching. -

He's very good in a lot of ways without the ball in his hands. -

A lot of Melbourne players are guilty of this, great point. -

Bernie has quite a rude head with all his hair shaved off. -
On the brink of greatness ...

I remember him, but had no idea he was a big kick of the ball as he is quite a small guy from memory. -

I heard him in a recent interview say he has trimmed about 5 kilograms off his weight this summer. -

I'll defend Dawes becuase he was always recruited as second forward to compliment Clark. Whilst there is room for improvement I'm not too concerned by his output so far. -

I got shouted down once for suggesting that Hogan's awkward running and kicking actions could be contributing to his back problems, still concerns me. -
Elsternwick Park - anyone heard about this?
Straight Sets Simon replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
The idea of Casey is good, the biggest problem is that Melbourne have been terrible in the time we have been associated with Casey. -
I'll judge his recruitment based on how well he plays, not on how well he interviews.

Elsternwick Park - anyone heard about this?
Straight Sets Simon replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't get it. We finally have some of the best training facilities available yet we are allegedly moving to Docklands, Melbourne University and now Elsternwick.
