Bellamy could sense the Storm were fading a bit, he rightly wasn’t taking anything for granted. What a cool and composed leader Cam Smith is, composure under pressure is something we have lacked at the Demons for a very long time.

If Melksham plays any games next year we are in trouble, he was woeful this year. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we played our best football of the last decade in 2018 when Harmes was in hot form playing in the middle (and mostly tagging).

Not really on topic but can I just say how ridiculous the notion of contracted players “nominating” where they are traded to is. We need a system where co reacted players can be traded to wherever the club wants but once they become free agents they can then choose their destination.

If he’s still got his pace then I wouldn’t worry about the three years part. We need to strike now while Gawn is still capable and before the likes of Oliver and Petracca looks for success elsewhere (for those saying we should focus on youth).

Very dangerous game trading away our only genuine back-up ruckman. We hold the card here so I hope we demand a lot for him because he has currency.

He’d be an upgrade on McDonald who looks cooked but the biggest issue with Brown and Weideman in the same team is if neither player gets the ball lace out on the lead then you know it’s coming straight back out again.
