The only part of the excellent post I would take umbrage with, is that God talks to me -
Gee....a victory on a Footy Forum......wow....lift your desk without using your hands? I suggest you grow up and answer my question, have you now listened to the interview and are willing to say your were wrong in your initial assertion about Frawley?
-
No it's not, unless you heard the full interview, you are taking mine and Django's summaries out of context, not everyone on here is right....Frawley has the right to decide when he wants to, Roos says Frawley's input this season has not wavered
-
Said still sorting out the playing list, pleased with Watts, some of the young players got a name check, but still a long way to go Pushing the line about the Coaches can provide some uselful infput to the AFL, ie should be regular Dinner with Gill Acknowledged still a lot of work to do with the team Think that's about it, try a question and will see if he covered it, the Club should be putting on the website as long as they get permission from SEN
-
Covered most of the same subjects as the Tuesday presser on Club website On extending for 3rd year, still hasn't been asked for a decision Ling/Kirk etc - going to find out who is available and interested and go from there, still believes you need to serve an apprenticeship Frawley - wouldn't play him if Chip told him he had signed with another club today Said because of 18 teams, there are some players, who are AFL players, but wouldn't necessarily get a game 20 years ago, in other words the real talend is spread too thin On the Academies, said the Clubs involved are only doing what the AFL allows them to do

No I am putting my reasons why, I actually thought rpfc had thought out his post really well, but to me it was just approaching the same old topic from a different angle

Yes but the evaluations will be different because each poster will have players in different categories, we are going as well as I expected us to be going this year, this mini slump included, I know where the list is, and so does Roos, I don't need analysis to understand where we are, because I have been playing or watching footy for nearly forty years now The only thing I don't do is bag the players, I have never played at AFL level so I have absolutely no idea what is required to reach and maintain that level, and if we have players who can't reach the level required, they will be moved on, it happens every year

But it does if you have mixed categories, does this mean that players who are not positional role players, or mid rotation or elite, are necessarily not AFL calibre.......I would give you a perfect example, if we all saw Zac Dawson for the first time and knew nothing about him, most would be horrified, he is slow, can't kick, etc etc so most would say not AFL calibre but I bet Ross Lyon would disagree.........it is all relative, if you are on an AFL list you are an AFL calibre player.....another let's delist these spuds topic in another guise.....ho hum

It's your opinion, it is not about disagreeing with your opinion, I just have a different one on a couple........unfortunately it's just yet another topic for the recidivist bashers to spew forth their normal twaddle......

Is it your opinion that the players are not AFL Calbre players, and what is your criteria for reaching this conclusion, number of games played, Brownlow votes, Demonland opinion, haircut? Byrnes has 2 premiership medals in his drawer at home, Clark has retired (just making up numbers), Fitzpatrick was being praised from the mountaintops at the end of last season on Demonland Can we have a bit more meat?

If you stand and ball watch and let your opponent get 5 metres away from you, you will then look slow trying to catch him, we weren't slow, we stopped running...

Demonland posters will actually realise that everybody is entitled to an opinion, no matter how far it differs from theirs (may spoil some of my entertainment, but hey I can live with it) -
No he is an 18 yr old on the rookie list who is being given time to develop, and obviously listens to the coaches and the feedback
-
You did watch the game? some of your posts seem to indicate not, Jamar took 1 (ONE) mark, he was outpointed/outplayed....yes he tried
-
Correct.....gee I love the week after a loss....will be the Heritage Jumpers fault next.......
-
That's my point WYL, Roos will decide that, not the experts on here banging on for 5 or 6 pages, I have the feeling that some on here expected finals as soon as Roos put pen to paper, was never going to happen in a year...can't wait for the delisting thread this week to start up and another 30 odd pages of expert opinion... If you look at today's performance you would say we maybe had 5 or 6 players capable of playing AFL footy to a high standard...yet a month or so ago when we beat Adelaide you would have said 22, that's the problem Roos has..... The last couple of weeks have dropped, it is nearly the same players, Roos has to figure out why
-
My quote won't work, WYL you just don't get it do you, I keep the whingeing to myself, unlike some I try to be constructive...........part of me went along hoping for an improved showing, and sneak a win, the most part after the last week or two expected another 5 or 6 goal loss, but making it hard for Geelong........easy this week we went backwards, think Roos has a lot of work to do...positives for me were Viney and Riley (he had no one in the clear to kick to when he turned it over, the team had stopped running by then)...move on to next week, me banging on for 5 or 6 pages won't change anything, up to Roos and his coaches to fix it

Grimes has been named on the wing, to probably have first crack at Stevie J, McKenzie will probably go with Selwood Do you think that Roos' is saying something new? -
