There was a nice bit before training started, Barry and Jetta deep in conversation , Barry was talking about Garlett (who he soundly beat last weekend, obviously the real reasonf for the late night out) when they were lining up on the wing, Nev seemed to be instructing him on positioning. Everybody seems to forget Barry has only been taking football 'seriously' for about 4 years, he came down from Alice on a tennis scholarship, what I like is he got a taste for a couple of games, then sent back to Casey to continue his development, then put a couple of good games together doing his role perfectly and is rewarded with a spot back in the AFL team. I tip him to surprise going forward

He looked fine at training, so not sure, perhaps the cautious approach again and giving him anothe solid week on training track

Put it further up, but yes he is, looked fine at training, not sure why he is not playing, perhaps like Hogan another week -
I am going hoping we have a real crack, I know Jetta, Cross, Jones N, Viney, Dunn will be leading the way, hopefully the rest follow...still having my favourite meal before the game though and taking a blindfold and a cigarette (just in case)

Can't get quote to work again Hogan looks ready to rock, but they will probably convince him another week, he was bouncing around at training. Toumpas did the whole session, Casey group -

Coz Green was a small forward who was in really good form, that's why Roos would love another 1 or 2 of Nev, that is why I thanked Jade Rawlings for persuading the club to keep Nev on, coz he knew as well if he could get a clear run at it, Roos would have one of his perfect role players, as I said this week should be a highlight, Puopolo v Jetta -

Actually when you speak to both of them, you will find they do that because in their opinion 'they play safe" ie they don't try things that are above their ability, I don't know whether Bail ran over your cat OD, but he is not as bad as you think, his % efficiency is quite consistent, and quite good (put that in another post) -

Nev was fine at training, he is straight down the middle, there is no grey with him, I have mentioned previously that if he gets whacked wears it as a badge of honour as it means he is doing his job, just happy he is fit and firing and playing the role he loves, enjoyed the training, he reckons when it's wet brings everybody back to his level of speed, reckon first three names on teamsheet in the last couple of weeks have been Jetta, Dunn, Bail not the most skilled trio but consistent and who play exactly the role Roos wants -

I think the days of Dave Dunbar hanging in a tree pretending to be a Koala are long gone, each club has contingency plans for the unexpected, Hawthorn probably know who we are going to put on the park before we on here do, Misso knows I post on here, so obviously he doesn't have an issue, you seem to be the only one that does -

Nah, I asked Misso a couple of straight question Me: "where's Pedo?" DM "he is having an operation on his nose today" Me "so he won't be playing on Saturday"" DM "nope" Nah, Riley, Blease, McKenzie, weren't in the 'team talk' at the end of the end to end session -

Told Nev Jetta that him versus Puopolo would be one thing worth watching, told me he will probably match off with all the forwards, he wouldn't mind a crack at Roughy -

He did everything, if that is what you mean, the whole session, so kicking, tackling, ground ball, end to end, he was moving really well, even had Salem firing kicks at head height from about 5 metres away at one point to get his reflexes up, ended up the session by competing with TomMcDonald on catching ridiculous bombs put as high as possible but only standing about 10 metres apart, Tommy Mc misjudged one in the rain, hence the decapitation mentioned above. Roos watched this 'training' and was very amused, probably more by Hogan looking ready to go -

Apart from nearly being decapitated by a kick from Hogan messing around, yes, he was moving freely, did the whole session -

Thought of something else, Riley was with the 'Casey' side, maybe he is the swap for Matt Jones -

I told you I forget, easier to answer questions, Grimes and Jayden Hunt trained on the other oval, both looked ok, probably another week for Grimes as a precaution -

Yes Jamar trained, he did a lot of extra ruck work with Greg Stafford, he was getting around the ground on the drills, he is big and old enough to know he isn't doing enough at the moment -
The forecast said isolated drizzle, so took the morning off, it rained/drizzled/[censored] down non stop It was a hard session. compared to others I have watched, considering it is only 4 weeks from our season end Roos actually raised his voice a couple of times, I could actually hear what he was saying/shouting........there was one instance where it was and end to end drill and surprisingly we went across field and then down the line to a 1 against 3.....Roos immediately stopped it and to paraphrase "what was the point of that, that is not what we want"......another time he pulled the midfield together and 'demanded' they work together Anyway Pedersen will not play this weekend, was not at training and confirmed by Misso had a op on his schnozzle and will be missing Tapscott is probably an out as well, left training early and was limping on his right leg Other interesting bits, when the squad was split in half to do the end to end, Blease and McKenzie joined the 'Casey side', and Gawn, Michie and Barry played with the AFL side, along with Matt Jones who split his time and Cross (who confirmed afterwards he was in, Michie was hopeful).....Watts played in the back 6 and Gawn as a stay at home forward near the goal square Jesse Hogan did the full session and looks ready to go, asked him this week or next, said "we'll see", asked Misson, he said next week, it is Hogan's decision as to whether he plays or not, I think the way he attacked training it will be yes Spoke to Chip Frawley, if he has made his mind up, he is a bloody good liar, or I have lost the ability to pick it, we'll see I can never remember everything, so any questions feel free, just one more, there were about 5 separate kicking drills today
-
I went to training so my guess at ins would be Michie, Cross, Gawn, Barry and possibly Matt Jones, see the training thread for more, not that I have posted it yet, next job
-
So he has played every game this season coz Roos doesn't care about those things, this is yet another Demonland myth, he is another one whose disposal efficiency is consistently in the 80% and above....his only knock for me was giving away too many cheap free kicks which he has fixed, and set shot for goal which he has fixed, let's not give a player kudos for actually working on improving

Why? and for who?...what is a good trade, somebody who can't get a game with their club, that is who is usually traded, unless it is a ridiculous trade like McEvoy, and you don't get a lot of them
-
Hey OD there is a guy at Hawthorn called Paul Puopolo, who I think we are trying to get Roh Bail to emulate, he averages 15 disposals, 3 tackles a game, less than a goal a game though, guess whose figures are similar with 30 odd games less
-
Comedy gold, gone from 20 to 30 players not worth keeping, Cross has just signed on again from next year by the way, so how are we going to trade players who posters on here regard as worthless?...Are you going to contribute to the payouts if we delist players who are still contracted?
-
I always love the posts that say we stuffed up the recruiting big time, every club does it, unfortunately we are an easy target, here are a few top 20 picks at other clubs from 2007.. Bulldogs Jarrad Grant , Ayce Cordy, Christian Howard Sydney Patrick Vezpremi, Lewis Johnston West Coast Tony Notte, Tom Swift Geelong Mitch Brown Carlton Kane Lucas and I would throw in Kreuzer Fremantle Jayden Pitt And that's just a quick look, I am sure I could find more, Bulldogs haven't exactly been setting the world on fire

And there I was thinking you would take it as a compliment, both paid up members of the "Cam Schwab ran over my cat, and I will never forget" club, personal means childish puerile name calling, something you can find in abundance on this forum

Players to target at the end of the year
Satyriconhome replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
Again, although I was proved wrong with Cross, why is O'Keefe not getting a game with the Swans, they even brought in Membery? for Franklin at the weekend I think we are past that, if you listen to Roos' presser this morning, there are players who are not listening, I don't think there is a need for another old wisehead, personally I hope whoever we bring in is under 25
