Peter Lawrence reminds me of some on here. He only wants what he wants and sulks and pouts when other members don't agree. I don't mind other posters on here having differing opinions, I just want to be allowed to have mine. Can't wait for him to post me another letter, will give me the opportunity to return it in the same condition as the last one. We have a training ground in two locations at the moment and good facilities. We don't have our own through the inaction of Boards 20 or 30 years ago, not today's who are trying to play catch up

    Thanks Peter

He was on Facebook, but not sure if he still is, with the feedback he received last time he put his head over the parapet 🤣 All these topics about how 'poor' the club is, are always driven by the same posters, who are supposedly supporters of the club. I sometimes wish somebody like @picket fencewould allow me to retrospectively analyse all the decisions he/she has made in the past and provide some constructive criticism. Of course infallibility could preclude this.
  4. I was being ironic with the 'humour'
  5. I like coming here when I am feeling down, like rainy mornings, some of the humour on here cheers me up immensely. A murmur, a rumour with an identify crisis. If Jack Viney says he is leaving, that is when I believe. Not interested whatsoever in the clickbaiting of Cornes, Morris et al.
  6. I like when posters on here say journalists are only chasing click bait. 5 pages on Demonland on a non story. Must have worked.
  7. So he is not allowed a different opinion. Standard for Demonland Always the same negative posters ready to jump I would listen to David Schwarz, especially after the way he lost all his hard earned, there is a sensible person to Lister to The days of clickbait from pundits and journalists is alive and well.

You never debate, you post your opinion and never allow others theirs. As we used to say back in good ol blighty...all mouth and trousers. Personally I don't want to hear from the Chairman unless there is something important to say. Same with Pert, off the field is just that.

In what way, I don't remember her lining up in the forward 50 for any games we have lost, you post without backing it up......and cue...

My my, Demonland and especially a cadre of so called supporters, always the same after a loss, if you are not happy with the coach, the players, the coaching staff, the board, the recruiting staff etc. etc., go and do something else with your life, does it make you feel better to be so consistently negative. If the Board and the CEO think that Goody is not up to the task, they will sack him, no amount of pontificating on here will affect that decision, even though some would like to think it will. Melbourne have by the standards of the last five years, had a poor season, I have been disappointed with some of the performances, but pleased with the improvement in some of the younger players, but we get another crack next season. Nobody has died because of the poor season.
  11. Reading all the posts you make, I can't get over the sheer positivity you express.
  12. Hindsight, a wonderful concept, especially when sitting at a keyboard
  13. What is the point of this thread so @joeboy can vent his spleen (topical) after a loss. The number of replies to this thread now, ever diminishing know what they are going to read so don't even look at it. Three words - Poor Team Performance.

    Which parts?

And Mr Recruiter, was there any available or do you just want to throw money around in the hope it works. Strange that all the good senior players are on long term deals don't you think. And any suggestions?
  16. I am not only going on my own observations but what other players have told me in the past, also his footy nous off the ball, but hey, if you are only watching the game for mistakes, posters may miss that. He had a bit of a down year last year, but was fit and firing this year before the injury, he was a very important cog in 21. Yeah let's bring another young player in and put the weight of expectation on him, that works, as we have seen in the past.
  17. I didn't say decimated, stats are stats, it is how you use them, we miss his footy nous up forward, you can disagree if you want.
  18. Spargo was more than goal kicking, his entry into the 50 was very good, all players are allowed a drop in form.

I like the fact that you support K Brown, but the game with tackles was very wet which suited his style, either side he is back to normal and not knocking the door down to be included.

And @picket fence, who really needs to get out more.
  21. What do mean outside the hospital, that vulture will be disguised as a nursing aide.
  22. Wow, Sack Goodwin, the players are [censored], etc etc. Gawn and Goodwin will not blame personnel, but we had May injured or coming back from injury, Brayshaw retired, Petracca injured, and even thought he is massively underrated on here, Spargo, throw in Salem's Season, Gawn's leg. So basically all lines thrown into disarray, with replacement players not quite ready to step up. I was as disappointed as anybody last night watching it live, but the confidence is shot as well, we had young players trying their best against battle hardened players. We get another go next year, threatening not to renew your membership says more about that poster than the team. Try going into the Club a few years ago the day after losing to Essendon by 146 points and ringing members asking them if they want to renew, that gives you resilience. It is footy, nobody dies, I will continue to support my team.
  23. His high standards. A poor team performance, started and finished at the contest again.
  24. To just you?
