I reckon if I stood in the middle for 4 qrts, i might get a couple of touches too. For gods sake, look at his game DESPITE the lack of goals he kicks. Today was a very bad day for him, but also in very bad conditions. In dry weather, look how good he is below his knees. His clean hands are great, he reads the play incredibly well, and has a good kick. He needs core strength, more games ( albeit in casey ) and ......time. To suggest he is a dud is just stupid.

Agree 100%. The problem for me is, The Dees are about winning games now, therefore who do we possible play whilst resting The Russian, and be able to have a strong presence in the middle. This is the problem.

Its defiantly Miller time for mine. As far as i am concerned, we need to give Miller every opportunity to succeed at the senior level. Some would say that he has used up all his chances, and I tend to agree. But as long as he is retained on the senior list, and playing consistent footy at VFL level, then we have to continue to give him opportunities. Besides, what on earth have we to loose this week. I have said elsewhere, that we have a very tough 6 weeks coming up. We need to do better than kick 1 goal in a half.

I am enjoying the kind of 'earn your spot' culture that the MFC is creating at the moment. I think its flowing onto the senior guys and we are producing some very good footy. No change for me.

Agreed! I was only looking at the fixture the other night. We are 7 rounds in and only 3 wins. Certainly not a bad result, but we have some very hard matches coming up, 7 of which are away from the G. The remaining 8 games at home are against some hard teams - Dons, Collingwood, Carlton, Swans which you certainbly wouldnt pencil in as wins. And we still have to play, Bris, freo, Port x2 , and Saints away. Were goign to want to start winning some matches quick sticks, if we want to remain around this current position.

I don't understand the Bennell bashing. I mean, apart from squibbing a couple of contests, and a few poor kicks, I think he has been outstanding. Particularly in the past few games. FWIW Should get nominations in both marks and goals of the year this week.

There is no reason at all to be playing Watts. He kicked 4 goals against a Richmond 2nds in a sub standard competition. Like Bails is trying to ram home to all and sundry, until he is doing this week in week out, theres no point picking him.
