  1. The selectors/coach are passing judgement on these two every week, by way on non-selection. I'm happy to run with that.
  2. Some people simply cannot deal with anything negative about their heroes. Watts is not physical enough. Trengove is as slow as advancing lava. Let it go.
  3. Ahhh dazzle, you have NO IDEA what you missed. A 100%, Rolled gold, unadulterated superstar. The turnstiles whirred like a Gatling gun every time he played early days..... Could out mark a guy 15kgs heavier, and 15cm taller Knew instinctively when to put himself, to be at the drop of a ball. Knew his range, regardless of weather. Was not out muscled by anyone. Brilliant kick, whether a set shot, or a snap over his shoulder. God damn this guy was a sensation. 1 of my all time Demon highlights. Would light up today's game also, provided you didn't care about defensive pressure. Honestly, he probably would have been carried, even if he didnt chase in today's game . Look him up on youtube. worth every second. (to be fair, not many players in the games history would have weighed 15kg more than Jacko)
  4. Buckley might have thought you were from SEEK.
  5. I'm usually a pessimist, but I actually thought we totally dominated very large periods of the game. Our clearance work was finals quality. Now, if we could just stop kicking to the opposition.
  6. The bit about Bolt is absolutely pointless. Subjective or not. If Trengove stayed exactly the same as last year, he might be one of the least agile 10 midfielders to ever play the game. I also mentioned what I see his strengths to be. I just don't see them as making up for his shortcomings, with our flat chat game style.
  7. I gave up most of the hope I had for him when I read the article where he stated that he had given up trying to regain his speed, and would focus on getting the ball in traffic instead. If you cant get to a contest, or catch your opponent, you cannot apply defensive pressure. Very interested to see what role he plays, but will not be at all surprised if he doesn't play. Maybe his best bet is replacing VDB at half forward. His hands have always been his strength.
  8. Will finally see for myself, if all of the training reporters saying he was "moving well", are full of siht. I'm suspecting they are.
  9. Surely you must consider the strong possibility of the righteous might of the brave returning heroes, raising them to a heroic and glorious premiership?
  10. The only surprise in the o.p, is that slobbo didn't nominate the "brave returning, persecuted hero", and new captain, heppell, to win the Brownlow.
  11. smart ass It's blocked by my employers wifi
  12. Lol. 65km from home, and a truck charging $180 per hour while he waits for me to load enough explosives so he can make his delivery. Nah, not a good career move.
  13. Thanks everyone. Very much appreciated. Trying to get service with optus to get around Wi-Fi blocks. In the meantime, thanks again
  14. please post the actual score guys. land is my only option today, boss blocks everything else...
  15. haha nope. Was simply bored out of my brain, and thought, oh boy, there's something I can post about! I read it again and thought to myself, you stupid [censored], how did you miss that.
  16. Guess I was looking for something to post about..............
  17. Massive if true. And another reason why so many of us dont like the idea of chunk sharing the captaincy. Viney could have waited another year or two.
  18. Which makes some of us wonder why you post at all...... Ah, my apologies. It's because you like to share your superior wit with the less fortunate. ProDee, you would be much more readable, without the overt condescension.
  19. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-02-05/demons-looking-further-afield-for-training-base Looked into a base at Elsternwick park, but one small problem. We didn't have the $35 million required to fund it.
  20. Saty, nice to read a post from you that is not all sunshine and roses. Well done, even though I put Hunts game tonight down to first game rust, not bloaty head.
  21. We looked miles ahead of the Bulldogs tonight. I never imagined in my 48 years, that I might be celebrating my first flag, with a Womens team. This team can do it. Edit for acknowledgement. After copping some flack early, coach Mick Stinear appears to have designed a fantastic style of play for the girls. Well done Mick.
  22. Well, the Women won a new fan tonight. I have been very sceptical of the skills that we might see, and thought the first round was an embarrassment. To the posters who defended the girls, and said it would improve, I say, you obviously had better judgement than I did. I thought it would take several seasons to see good skills, but tonights game was excellent. Girls, think about that. It's not a suburban kick with your mates any more. You are all being watched and cheered on by Aussie rules fans all over the world, on international T.V. Bloody fantastic tonight. Go Dees. Mifsud is mine. Step away. Power forwards bring people to the game. (and Daisy is a really really attractive version of Gary Ablett)
  23. Mifsud. Wow. Won the battle with strength, and had such strong hands. Star. Goal number 3 There's that basketball background again.
  24. Mifsud my favorite so far. Good hands, and likes it physical. annnnnnd we hit the front. Go girls!
