Pretty much sums up my thought also, in particular the bolded part. We had a chance to finally break that mould in the final round, and rolled over like the Dees of old. .

Nice one Deiter. And yes, that's pretty much how it goes. My point is, i don't condemn people for their choices, but that doesn't mean I would vote to legitimise it.
-
I know you didn't Jara. Apologies if it came across that way. I will add another head spinner for you. I also worked at Ok Tedi mine in P.N.G. The local workforce on the blast crew was entirely male, and they were on site for many months at a time, before heading back to their home province. Over there, when the men felt a bit randy, they would ask their mate to bend over for them for a release. To them it was completely normal, and not even conversation worthy. Did any of us judge? Nope, we had a condom supply placed inside the amenities block for them instead. Would I vote for them to marry each other? Still no.

Can't wait for this stupid Grand Final thing to be out of the way, so we can get on with the excitement of horse trading! Damn this club. Would be nice to have an actual footy interest at this time of year. The thing is Red, he is not a good player for OUR team. At least not to the level expected. It makes zero difference what he plays like with someone else. Once gone, he is just another player to beat.

I am entitled to my own opinion and my own vote. I make no apologies for that. I am not a homophobe. The homosexual community in Philippines is gigantic. I would guess it's one of the planet's largest. I believe marriage is man and woman. It's that simple

It's a no win argument, full of contradictions. I voted no. Some will label me homophobe. For 2 years while living in Muslim Mindanao, Philippines, I was proud sole sponsor of an all lesbian basketball team. Loved every minute of it. We lost the grand final both years to the team made up entirely of "bakla" or lady boys. It's a strange world, isn't it.
-
I lean more towards a quite decent year, maybe 2, including a great game or 2 against the Dogs, followed by another slide back into mediocrity. An enlarged ego can be very detrimental to a players career.

With all of the supposed high end young talent on the list, we have finally arrived at the point of topping up with the finishing touches to have a dip at a flag. Developing another batch of 18yr olds probably wont get us into a grand final in the next 2 or 3 years, whereas adding 2 or 3 very high end talents in areas of weakness just may do that. We were always going to end up having a dip, and sell the longer term future for a solid crack at the now. I'm comfortable with paying a reasonable price if it means a flag. We would all quickly forget the price while enjoying a month long bender following that flag win. If our young blokes develop the way we hope, the time to go after the best is now.

Jesus Ding. Judds Granny follows a very well worn path of a new poster popping up at seasons end, and giving juicy tidbits that people love to swallow, and being exposed and disappearing 2 months later, never to be seen again. Like the posts for their entertainment value, imagine "wouldn't it be great if it were actually true", but don't ask questions and give the impression that you believe what he is saying. Its fun, but nothing more. edit: and watch for the trade rumours to get even more enticing, and complicated at key "bars open" times, friday night, and weekends.

Exactly what I was thinking, only I couldnt remember the name.... boy oh boy
-
Then Petracca would want to have a consistent season, and not just patches of promise. Just a tad overrated on output thus far is Christian.
-
@Ding1 works with a port players mother. He is ALWAYS fishing for info about Ollie. Any news dingbat?

Its possible if she in fact told a fib about the identity of her source, and its not a doctor after all. ??

Nash, clubs are free to use whatever approach they like in order to get a good deal for themselves. Simple sales technique to enter trade period with 1: in mind, but packaging it as 2 or 3 The words used dont matter, only the aim, and end result.
-
With respect Nash, the idea that clubs only "try" to trade out players based on those issues is ridiculous. Clubs trade out players every year to attempt to improve their list. Sometimes those traded players include guys who the trading club would prefer to keep under normal circumstances, and who do not go by any of the issues you quote. I suspect what many here believe Watts is worth would be grossly exaggerating his market value, but I am simply tiring of the false dawns, and half hearted physical efforts, and would like to see us get something that would improve our list if it arises this trade season.
-
Would it be better if the op said "do we try to trade Jack Watts"? Thats the way I read it anyway, because of course we are not going to give him away for nothing, or what we conceive to be zero benefit.

Lachie Whitfield, Jake Lever, and other trade rumours
faultydet replied to Xavierrodway's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe he was playing like his mind was elsewhere? I'd be very happy if he found a way to us, but he would be much better value as a free agent next year. -
See edit. I was referring to you, not my eating habits. lol Didn't give that much thought did I?
-
Glass half full about our year? Nope, I say the majority are majorly disgusted in how the season finished, but of course the coach will never say that, unless he is chris/brad scott
-
Reds please diets, as its mostly cow type stuff we shoot around these parts. Kangaroos are too wormy.

It's good thanks for asking mate. I appreciate your interest. We are getting this this called cable TV some time in the future. Looking forward to having my political misconceptions corrected by the good people at CNN. Also animal planet. I like to view the behaviour of animals before i catch/kill/cook them on the open fire. My coal miners salary also pays for my place at Airlie Beach that I can go to on my 7on/7off roster. It's a liitle way from inner city coffee shops in Melbourne, but well worth a visit if you can get past the stench of filthy foreign back packers and rasta boardwalk performers. Hope this convo isn't distracting you from your valuable protest work. Hey hey, ho ho

You've got ANTIFA written all over you mate. You need to let go of the anger and emotion. How do you cope when President Donald Trump is on TV. Not well I suspect.
