  2. Jack Watts is an awesome talent. Reckon we would be satisfied with Wines and their first round.
  3. Your rep was garbage anyway dingus. Nice try but.
  4. pm mate sounds interesting
  5. Strange, seeing that Gold Coast wouldn't be the ones asking for a pick, if the player is headed their way. Anyway, freo will need their pick 5 and more, for Jesse *wink wink*
  6. I read the suggestion as Weller and 5 for pick 2
  7. It's probably something his family wouldn't want to read on here mate. Let's talk about Stringer instead........
  8. Yikes! Geez SWYL, why dont you hang draw and quarter the bloke!
  9. Would be smart to consider it, of course we have no idea who the club thinks they can pick up with the picks we already have. Might be a way to delay the "must use a round 1 pick every x years" thing if the AFL actually decide to enforce it, and would then bring up the possibility of forward trading our 2019 first round pick next year. Good idea in theory. If highly placed clubs are considering it, shouldn't that be telling us something about the supposedly shallow draft this year? Might be deeper than we keep getting told.
  10. God you say some crazy things fence. We've had Jack for years. At what stage were WE in Premiership mode? He is not the star you think he is. He is simply a handy footballer, with great kicking skills, and an inability to keep both hands in the air.
  11. @Chook in Perth Has reliable inside info Unsure of what "personal" favours he needs to do in order to obtain said info, but he must be doing a satisfactory job.
  12. jack thought he could just throw on whatever, and they would do the work. Too soon? (Love ya Jack)
  13. Nathan Jones will go down as one of the all time greats of our club. Everyone has faults, but Jones has lived through the worst period of our history, and survived to lead our push to respect again. Ok, he is not perfect, but damn he is a Dees champion.
  14. Agree 100% Guy is simply showing his disappointment with a smile. I reckon he would be a cracking bloke to hang out with. A veritable Mr Popular, and not at all unlikeable. He is simply a victim of our Coaches quest for a Premiership. Bloody shame.
  15. Viney will treat him as he would any other opposition player. That's why Viney is a leader, and Watts is on his way out.
  16. Take a wider look. I can see us attempting to lure Gaff as RFA next year. Zero draft cost for a prolific ball winner who can kick. Perfect for our needs. If we get a reasonable pick for Jack, maybe we can package with more picks for a good early pick, and if not we back Taylor to choose a player who can contribute to the team-first cause over the next few years. We are not losing much with Jack, so if we don't replace him with an experienced player straight away, at least we turn the list over, as per AFL requirments.
  17. Sorry was being a smartarz Dont see what Polec would add to our mix. Your suggestion of adding a pick to Watts didn't float my boat. Apologies.
  18. Can you trade negative picks?
  19. You're still going to read at least 10 posters throwing up suggestions for Port to trade up to give us a better pick. Can see us getting around 30, and no better. Goodwin wants him out, and if we want the new club to pay 100% of his salary, we will accept less than most are expecting for him.
  20. I'm not. Wouldn't have the slightest idea what we might do with the pick. It's merely an option. Jack's time with the Dees is over. I back our footy department in their chase for a flag. Rocky will be a good pickup, but Motlop and particularly Watts will not be the players who push them to a flag. Todays game is too physical at the top echelon.
  21. You are hardly Robinson Crusoe ProDee Many of us have said exactly the same things over the years. Watts is not, and will never be physical. Port Adelaide will find that out by round 5 next year. Can only imagine how Viney and Lewis will act when Jack is nearby in an opposition Guernsey. Could be embarrassing.
  22. My take on it is the coaches have decided that he is not part of our forward planning, and as such, his experience is irrelevant A handy pick can be packaged with another handy pick, for a good pick. All clubs need to turn over the list. Might be turned into an experienced player who plays the role that Watts played, but the way the coaches expect.
  23. lol "biscuitdunkers" Love it. Mods, please dont delete. I am happy to see the club make a move on Jack, as he has certainly failed to make the most of his ability for us. He could have been, but couldn't bother to be, great. We will convert him into a draft pick that will bring a new player into the club, and I trust that Jason Taylor can identify the characteristics that will make successful players out of those draftees. I just think bagging him in that way is unnecessary venting, that is better left for your own living room.
  24. I normally consider myself to be fairly hard hearted about underperforming players, but your post is hugely disrespectful to a bloke who loves the club as much as the supporters do, and is loved by the playing group. He may have had an underwhelming career with us, and justifiably be on his way out the door, but let us at least show some class about it.
  25. Cos Watts is a flakey half forward, not a mid
