Brisbane are in great form and are one hell of a rapidly developing team. We've beaten Gold Coast and Hawthorn the past 2 weeks. Hardly giant killing form. A win over Brisbane will tell me that we are serious. Expecting a narrow loss.

Breaking from your opponent at the right time to get the easy over-the-top is something that our forwards have been too lazy to do the past 18 months or so. His work in the contest has improved, and I certainly wont begrudge a couple of easy ones when he is doing the hard stuff.

Still 2 grabs almost every mark over his head, but a couple of his marks on the lead were true power-forward efforts. His aggression in the air was fantastic, and he looked tough as nails in the contest. We've been crying out for that since Neita. Start single grabbing overhead and we have something that is a major piece of the finals puzzle. Harris Andrews a huge test to see if he has turned a corner, or was a flash in the pan.

Had a good mate for many years. Travelled internationally with him a few times. Dated sisters. Lived at his joint for months after I was repatriated from working overseas. Found out a few months back that he had taken his own life just after he called me. Never give up on the people you care about, as you might be the one who saves them. Listened to the podcast with Glenn Bartlett during the week. Thought he was doing ok till he scoffed at the question about there being pressure on Goody considering our garbage record over the past 18 months. Came across as arrogant and dismissive of the growing anger from the supporter base. The excuse for last year was injuries etc. An aberration they said. With the best injury run I can ever remember we look to have given north a top 3 pick while managing to go backwards on even last years form. There is something unfixable about this club. Spent the day concreting and only remembered the game was on a few minutes ago. Realised the best way to spend my weekends was Demon free. Think I will take that approach every week now. The club has a mountain of a task to retain my 3 memberships next year. Im sure i wont be the only one.

Rather play Freo in Qld than in Perf. Heaps better for us. Looking forward to a Collingwood-like run of M.C.G games later in the season. Looking at the draw. The community where that guy lived was astonished that the govt at first attempted to put it down as a WuFlu death. The poor guy was in the terminal stages of cancer and he was not going to survive. The pressure for the AFL to salvage some dollars out of this season will be immense. Let's hope it was a false positive, or at a minimum no other Essedon players or staff caught it from McKenna.
