AFLW will silence almost every doubter a decade from now, if the current improvement curve continues. I was a doubter at first, and early on the skills were garbage. Jesus the improvement has been huge. It's not just an enjoyable game because they wear the Dees colours any more. They have some serious skills and toughness considering their time in the game. Canned the auto renew on my 3 memberships for this season. Nothing to do with Covid. Just a protest against the insipid season we dished up. First time in 20 years I will enter a season without a membership. Won't impact me because I've attended 2 games in the past 10 years. For the first time in 2 decades they will earn it before I spend a cracker.

More important than doing the right thing is being SEEN to do the right thing. Nobody believes the AFL actually cares about this stuff for any other reason than impact on the bottom line.
