Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 21
Pipefitter replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
GWS have the wood over us recently. Ah the life of a demons supporter. I don't believe they are tanking. They have enough talent on their list to get the pick they want anyway (Dom Tyson). I'm only tipping us because it's at the G. Anywhere else (including etihad) I'd be tipping the Giants. They don't get to win too often. They will be up for this game as they usually are against us. -
Players to target at the end of the year

Armitage ain't going anywhere. Heard him talk a few months ago about wanting to captain the Saints if he had the chance. -
I'm flying over for the game from Melbourne. Do the club organise any match day functions? First time seeing us interstate.
-
Liking Peter Wright. Could be our Roughead.
-
Package our 2nd rounder with Blease to Alice Springs?
-
It would be nice if the players would stop trying to handball it all the way to the goal line when we enter the 50. Someone take responsibility and kick the goal.
-
Hawks under 24 points is good money. I think we will turn it into a scrap.
-
Why reward him and send him to a better club for poor performance. Let him suffer at the Dees like the rest of us.
-
How lucky are we Chris Dawes said no to us.

He's a 2nd or 3rd forward but he's getting paid first forward money. He's a real competitor though so hopefully we will see the best of him when Hogan arrives. -
After yesterdays effort i'd happily take a pick in the 80's for Watts. He is embarrassing to watch.
-
How is Watts still getting a game? He loses every 50-50 ball embarrassingly no matter how big or small the opponent is. What is his actual role in the team?
-
Campbell Brown mentioned on MMM that the intention of free agency originally making it easier for players who can't get games at club to move around for better opportunities. It's turning out a little different to that hey?
-
How many years is his contract? Thats some damning words from Lyon, but no news to us.
-
I hate free agency but where we are on the ladder makes the deal better for us. There's no way we would ever get pick 3 for Frawley in a trade, but thats what we will get when he leaves as a free agent. Stay or go, we win.
-
The great teams of the last 5 or so years have those players like Selwood, Hodge etc that can drag them over the line in those last quarters. We don't have that player yet. The question is, do any of our players have the potential to become one of those elite leaders?
-
Collingwood have allowed him to go home for a few months before pre-season training starts.

Tyson's best has been better but Vince has been more consistent. Eh, who cares, we have both of em, enjoy!
-
The problem is not the umpires. They are interpreting the rules as they stand now correctly. The rules are wrong. I hate the way the game is going, especially the holding the ball rule. The chase down tackles go unrewarded, but stacked on by 5 players within a millisecond of getting the ball, thats holding the ball. Thats not AFL.
-
We look bamboozled in defence. Heres an idea. Find an opponent and stand next to one. Especially if they are in the goal square. #facepalm
-
Tyson loves a stoppage goal in Adelaide.
-
Seriously T-Mac. You not being even able to bounce a ball like an AFL player costs us a goal
-
Nice pressure early on. Keep it up dees.
-
How long it's dragged out makes that "I bleed red and blue" line ridiculous.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Pipefitter replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
The players would be worried for sure. They aren't saying anything though. Confidentiality clauses going round for sure.
