  1. Essentially we upgraded 26 to 25, 31 to 28, and then got BB & future 4th for 33 & 43. That's well played ??
  2. Latest Age article (headline about Stephenson) mentions Dees have not yet offered North any of our 2nd round picks.
  3. All very good points ? The North one has me thinking, is the recent talk of 2 2nd rounders for BB due to us including TMac in the trade? Effectively giving them a 2nd rounder for a salary dump? Happens in US sport all the time, and I think it's only a matter of time until it happens here
  4. Have no info, just speculating. But if GWS was an option, nothing could get done until Cameron gets sorted, as they will need the cap space for Cameron if they were to keep him (even though that's just part of their negotiations). With Sydney, I'd imagine that would only be possible if Aliir moved to Port, from a cap space and key position player need perspective. There were rumours I think early on that TMac had medicals already with these clubs, so you would think these trades could still happen late. Therefore if you are in the camp of wanting to move TMac, I think you should be hoping for the Cameron and Aliir moves to happen
  5. Bulldogs would be silly to replace Dunkley with Treloar, given Treloar's age, injury history and massive contract. They also have no use for high draft picks this year with their Academy kid. Dunkley contracted for 2 more years, 24yo next year, he's going to be just as valuable if not more next year, it's a no brainer to hold him
  6. The AVB rumours make sense with Mahoney mentioning Baker, Hunt, Tomlinson & Harmes but not AVB for the wing role
  7. Gawn and Jackson were both injured at the same time for much of this year. Using the guys you mentioned means we would be short in those areas. It's really not the worst idea to have this type of backup
  8. I think this makes sense. The idea is this role is unlikely to play, but is there as a back up in case of injury. Therefore the role needs to be cheap from both a dollar and trade sense. Not many players around that fit this criteria I feel...
  9. I think the fact that Mahoney didn't mention AVB but did mention Baker, Hunt, Tomlinson and Harmes for the wing position, suggests they are looking to move AVB. There might be legs to the rumour he may be packaged with Preuss to GWS
  10. A late start to AFL level will have no influence on his body or the likelyhood of him losing speed / getting injured
  11. Just want to mention that the 'less miles on the legs because he didn't play AFL level until 21' is completely irrelevant to how likely it is that he picks up soft tissue injuries or loses speed now that he is 31.
  12. Feel a bit sorry for Jack Viney with his newborn
  13. Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but is the Dees Freo game at Metricon in doubt now given QLD government not allowing VIC teams in?
  14. Eddie is 100% correct. If all members want a refund because they are not getting access to games, then find a new sport to follow, because the AFL won't be anything like it was when you're done
  15. You do realise we only have a future 4th round pick to trade?
  16. Agree, we have nothing to trade up with outside of trading down from 10
  17. Nothing against Pickett, but I like this, purely as I'd like to go in thinking it could be anyone (even if it is Pickett), much more enjoyable. Out if interest, are you confident in this source?
  18. I think the big risk at the moment is that Pickett is taken by Hawks, Port or Doggies after our pick 10. Highly doubt we can split pick with Port, as they want all 3 picks before 18 before a bid on Mead, therefore I doubt 28 is of interest. This leaves Geelong and GC as options, but the risk may be too great we will miss out on Pickett at those picks.
  19. Wonder whether they are considering moving down from 10 and strengthining hand next year, leaving 28 as is. Maybe Geelong at 14 or GC at 15 for a future pick of some sort. Not sure what future picks those 2 own?
  20. I thought the same thing. Pretty sure it's an error in the article, as they just updated the original article from pre pick swap. I don't think they meant to suggest we are pick swapping pick 10
  21. Lord Nev is the number 1 on trade / draft time poster power rankings at the moment
  22. Bidding for Green helps the value of pick 10, kind of hoping we do bid. Even just for the entertainment value
  23. I reckon it's probably more from GWS side, where they are happy to have sold the farm for Jackson OR Green + someone else. If we bid, and they don't match, they have effectively used 12, 18 and next year's 1st on Jackson. It's a either a huge risk they have taken (that we won't bid) or they really rate Jackson
  24. Good get on this. Your source got anything else for us?
