Any other Dees a chance for AA Selection?
Demon Jack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree with the above. Aside from Max, Viney and Watts would probably be our other most likely candidates for the squad. Don't see it happening though. Neville Jetta would be a lock for All Australian if he played for Hawthorn or Geelong. He's had an outstanding year. -
When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Demon Jack replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unfortunately, I think we were beaten by the Giants in a another game towards the end of 2013. Regardless, that is a terrible record to have. Hard to believe we haven't learnt from it since. -
Out: Michie, ANB In: Salem, Kennedy I reckon Weideman will stick around for another week considering the forward delivery of the midfield was beyond poor. I love what Pederson has been able to contribute this year but it wouldn't surprise me if the coaches are looking towards the future at the moment. I still think he'll be given another one year deal though as he's fantastic depth.

Surely Hunt Deserves a Rising Star Nomination
Demon Jack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Daniel Rioli is the nominee for this week. Would make a bet that his last name helped with the nomination considering Hunt and a couple of the youngsters from Collingwood arguably had better games. One round to go for Hunt. -
Having the youngest side for at least 15 rounds of the season certainly makes ten wins seem more impressive. Agree with the above though. It still hurts.

Love him to bits. Still can't believe how much footy he's been able to play this year. What's even more impressive is that unlike most of his younger teammates, he seems to be improving as the season has progressed as opposed to tiring. I reckon he'll finish top ten in the B&F this season. Certainly one of only 4-5 players who can hold their head high after today's effort as well.

Seems a shadow of the player he was in the opening half of this year. I'm sure he'll respond next year and but it's certainly been a disappointing drop in form. Hopefully we can land Hibberd over the pre-season so Bernie can move back into the midfield considering he seems rather incompetent as a defender.

Despite loses against Essendon and Carlton, ten wins is still a successful season and a clear step in the right direction.

I doubt we're going to see Viv Michie wear the red and blue again.

6. Jetta 5. Hunt 4. TMac 3. OMac 2. Tyson 1. Oliver

Is it a bad thing that despite our form over the last month, I still expected us to lose? There's been a lot of positives over the year such as cracking the 10 win milestone, taking down Hawthorn and unearthing young players such as Hunt and Petracca but the lowlights have been as bad as they've ever been. Knowing we could be sitting comfortably in the top 8 with wins over 'easy teams' such as Essendon and Carlton will haunt me for a while. Despite all that, I have no doubts that this team will provide us with some memorable highlights over the next decade. But there's certainly still some bumps that need to be ironed out first.

Six behinds in a row says it all.

Why do we always lose these games? After three years of it and with Roos at the helm, you'd think they would have sorted it out by now.

Neal-Bullen and Michie doing very little to excite me at the moment.

Clarry! Bit of momentum now.

Cripps annihilating us.

Vanders kicks our first.

Toumpas finding it hard to find the ball tonight. Just the seven touches and a goal.

Tigers vs Saints is a truely terrible game.
-
At the Tigers vs Saints game at the moment with a mate. Richmond just quite possibly played the worst half of any team that I've seen this year. Saints aren't looking too flash either.
-
Its a brave new world.
-
God Richmond are entertaining to watch sometimes. Targeting Cloke. Paying overs for Prestia. You never quite know what they'll conjure up next.
-
Watching Stretch's kick glide majestically through the air and through the goals is one of the most satisfying footy moments I've seen in my 20 years. Agree with your definition of it...spine tingling...

Good interview with our skipper in waiting.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - COREY MAYNARD
Demon Jack replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can safely say that this came out of nowhere.
