  1. First official image of Lever in the red and blue!
  2. Definitely overs but I'm thrilled to have Jake at the club! I'm backing that Josh Mahoney still has a few tricks up his sleeve over the remainder of the trade period that will see us advance back up this/next year's draft order.
  3. I dunno. Strikes me as 54 sort of guy.
  4. Just a thought if the Crows don't budge on two first round picks. Would we be able to snare Sydney's first round pick as part of the potential Watts deal? As a basis, Watts + Pick 27 to Sydney for their first round pick (pick 13). Picks 10 + 13 to Adelaide for Lever.
  5. Clarry's 2017 might be one of the best seasons ever from a Demon, and we're talking nearly 160 years worth of players. And now for everyone's favourite stat.....he only just turned 20.
  6. Agreed. Hence why I think he should be played forward next year should we grab Lever. I haven't rated McDonald in defense this season. His stints in the ruck and around the ball when Max was injured were also pretty good.
  7. Had a bad day. Simple as that. He's been brilliant for most of this year. I hope we get Lever in the off-season though as I much prefer seeing McDonald line-up in the forward line.
  8. If I can recall, Chook has a fair few runs on the board. This will be interesting.
  9. Would be a likely top 5 placer in the B&F if it wasn't for his average first 6-7 weeks. He's been absolutely brilliant since around Queens Birthday. Fun fact: Jake has kicked at least one goal in each of his last eleven games. That ranks him at seven in the entire league for the most consecutive games kicking a goal. What makes this extraordinary is that he is the only player on that list that isn't a key forward. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/misc_goals.html#10 Pick 25 almost seems like a bargain now.
  10. Just for a bit of fun, I thought I'd delve into the Demon statistic archives. Clarry's season so far has been beyond comprehension when you take into account the nearly 160 years of the MFC. (Sourced from AFL Tables) - Currently sitting in 4th for most disposals in a season with 599 touches after 20 games (only sitting 18 behind Nathan Jones' 2016 season). Clarry will without a doubt lead this category after the Brisbane game. - Currently ranked as number 1 for most handballs in a season. Clarry has handballed 438 times this season, 109 more times than the next ranked player - Currently placed second for most tackles in a season with 144. He'll only need 5 tackles for the remainder of the season Jack Viney's 148 tackle record set in 2016. - Ranked third in clearances with 135 so far this season. Should claim second place by seasons end but will need 19 more to take first place away from Brent Moloney's 2011 season. - Currently ranked fourth in most clangers in a.....actually let's forget about that one! - Absolutely dominating the contested possessions in a season category. Currently ranked first with 316 for the season over 20 games, edging out Brent Moloney's record of 271 set back in 2011. He also shares the most contested possessions in a single game record with Jack Viney with 26 in a match. - Also, currently ranked 6th on the all time list for most handballs in a season recorded by ANY PLAYER in the history of the competition. He only needs 35 handballs to beat the record. And he just turned 20 years old. Enjoy the ride folks. He's only just getting started.
  11. I love how he can kick 55 meters without breaking a sweat. 17 goals in his last 10 games. If you had said to me 5-6 games into the season that Milkshake would have a 20 goal season (he hadn't even kicked any or shown anything of value at this point), its safe to say I would've laughed straight back in your face. I've seriously turned around on this one.
  12. To continue this story, when Beamer left as a Free Agent, we received a 3rd round draft pick as compensation, which turned into Dean Kent.
  13. Interview with Zac starts at 26:50
  14. I loved Tyson's comment from the weekend. “He’s remarkable. I don’t think he feels pain,” “A truck could hit him tomorrow and he’d still play,”
  15. I haven't seen much of the Crows this year. Is Lever really that good to potentially justify two first round picks?
  16. A lot of players are still building their tanks. Our game plan is very demanding over four quarters. The big wins will come, hopefully in the form of a ten goal win this weekend against North. For what its worth, I'm pretty content with just winning these days after only 17 wins between the start of 2012 and the end of 2015. EDIT: Sorry, did I say 17 wins? I meant 15....Ouch.
  17. 30+ disposals at over 80% efficiency in very slippery conditions. He did his part last night.
  18. I don't care if he missed the first four games in the season, he must be in All-Australian discussions if he keeps this form up over the second half of the season. He'll easily give the Bluey a shake as well.
  19. To his credit, he had a brilliant game on the weekend (albeit against poor opposition). He showed some great tenacity that makes it hard not to remind you of his brother but I'd prefer we target someone with a bit more polish in their finishing like a Kelly (maybe some wishful thinking). Saying that, I wouldn't be against trading for Zak. At worst he'd be handy depth, but I wouldn't be willing to part with anything more than a second round pick.
  20. Anyone else notice that when Hibberd kicks the football, he generally hits the target? What is this madness?
  21. He gave a very good indication in his debut in the Hawthorn win last year as well. I think he had eight disposals and kicked two goals in the first half before he succumbed to a cramp/corkie. I remember he was very clean with his hands and showed very good attack at the footy in that game. He might take a few years to build up his body and tank, but I'm very confident he'll get there and be a very threatening forward for us.
  22. This. Can't understand why we're wasting him in that dreaded defensive half-forward position.
  23. 28 disposals against the Cats after 35 in the first two rounds. It's early days, but it's clear that consistency is a massive concern for Clarry.
  24. 2017 first rounder + ANB (provided he plays 15+ games and increases his value a bit)? Would that be enough?
  25. Clayton Oliver Week 1 vs St Kilda: 36 touches (88% efficiency), five marks and seven tackles. Week 2 vs Carlton: 35 touches (80% efficiency), seven marks and nine tackles.
