https://nine.social/107A Sam McClure The future of the Melbourne Football Club remains unclear, after the club parted ways with premiership coach Simon Goodwin on Tuesday morning. Sam McClure joined 3AW Drive to have his say on the sacking of Goodwin and what’s next for the Demons. “I think Melbourne with their kids list wise can turn this around pretty quickly if they get the coach selection right.” McClure said on 3AW Drive

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I guess it took the board 7 months to find a new CEO, who then couldn’t start for a further 4 months. So maybe they think they will start the search for the new coach now and have them appointed by … before round 1 2026 hopefully 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Simon Goodwin Sacked
But this is how we treat our premiership coaches, dismissed at a whim !!

Simon Goodwin Sacked
@Demonland I thought make the decision at the end of the 2025 season. Dees would move to dismiss Goodwin and payout him for 2026. Terrible timing from the 🤡board 🤡with 3 games to go in the season. Not the way to treat a man who delivered a premiership. A little respect could have been shown. Thanks Goody for your service and for 2021 🏆

CASEY: Rd 20 vs Brisbane Lions
Would rather have someone like Paddy Cross deserving of a finals game than Spargo. At least he kicks goals and would be part of the Casey team.

PODCAST: Rd 21 vs West Coast
@Demonland welcome back 👏👏👏WE MISSED YOU Lots to talk about The good… Jack Viney - broken hand, no worries - he’s a tough warrior - 8 tackles & 13 clearances. He’s as tough as anyone ever to wear red and blue Caleb Windsor - well… quiet for three quarters and struggled (7 possessions)… then 9 with his run and carry through the middle and hitting targets … that’s what we want to see Clayton Oliver. I think we saw glimpses of the old Clarry … he was good and saw some reminders of his run away from contest Fritsch. 4 straight. Showed his elite goal sense and classy goalkicking. He’s still a weapon and Dees need to keep him in red and blue Max Gawn - Led from the front. He’s locking in the ruck All Australian 2025 role. He’s a legend. Surely they can’t think Grundy or Cameron or Xerri are better this year. Christian Salem - Was brave in defence and I had him in as one of our best. Metres gained 400 , much better impact with the footy (although still looked slow at times and gets exposed too often across the grass) Harvey Langford (full name of course ) I think he’s back into rising star contention. Thought he might get rested but looked still full of run. Only knock on him… get a right foot. Even Bont has to kicK it on his right sometimes JAI CULLEY - great story. He could be a player. Not sure where he fits though. He’s too slow for the wing. He got caught out a few times as Eagles ran past or away from him. Good marking. Good kick. Perhaps half forward . Loved the 21.13. Accurate goalkicking. Wow. Yes low pressure Yes inside and under the roof so three games to go. Are we a chance in any ? Unlikely !!! we again had Too many “Missed tackles” Lazy disposal and turnovers Stupid50s given Up and under kicks into forward 50 (need forwards leading and low direct passes)

The rule is, once you choose to smother, then you are liable for what comes next." Is Tom Stewart in any MRO strife over this incident? Absolutely Definite 2 weeks. High. Low impact. Careless. Cannot argue anything but careless… he jumps and makes contact. That’s no accident

Farewell Judd McVee
He’s part of the future. Will be hugely disappointed if he walks.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Christian Petracca wants to leave at season's end, writes Jay Clark, there's an obvious destination. THE TACKLE 👉 bit.ly/45gbW7h It’s another “I hate Melbourne “ article by Jay Clark. He’s a disruption journalist. Nothing like the great Mike Sheahan. Dees win by 83 … so let’s write a disruptive story. He’s tries too hard. Ps. He Loves the Cats.

And yes another article that’s negative about the Dees and let’s trade Petracca Clark is the head writer of the Hun He genuinely hates the Dees He always writes negative articles about the Dees

Nankervis hit on umpire
RICHMOND coach Adem Yze says Toby Nankervis will be worried about making contact with an umpire, but believes the incident was not against the rules. The Tigers skipper collided heavily with the adjudicating umpire at a centre bounce during Saturday's 84-point loss to Gold Coast, sending the man in yellow clattering to the People First Stadium deck. —-——————————————- duty of care??? He wasn’t in the protected space It’s just the bounce of the ball He had his eyes on the ball This is a 50/50 one Must protect the ump but it’s an accident OR PERHAPS THE ORACLE JEFF GLEESON (THE MAGPIE MEMBER) … SHOULD A REASONABLE PLAYER EXPECT THE BALL COULD BOUNCE THAT WAY ???!

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Who knows with selection ? It’s a lottery Their forward weapons Darcy. Prefer Petty to play back on him but Goody will keep him forward, so it’s probably Tmcd Naughton. Probably Turner West. McVee. Midfield. Bont. Libba. Richards. Kennedy. Sanders. Williams Versus Oliver Trac jv7 Kozzzzy Langdon Langford Windsor Big matchup in midfield Defence. Runners. Dale. JJ. Freijah Need to stop Dale we let too many HBF run and run and kick and run etc etc Chandler Sparrow Fritsch need to tighten up on their rebound Defence. Talls. Lobb Busslinger O’Donnell Cleary Can JVR and Petty and Melksham have any influence ? Miscellaneous. Bramble McNeil Poulter. Vdm. Dogs weakness or strength is also their 20-23. Dees can identify this also.

Welcome to Demonland: Jai Culley
Good debut in red and blue. Great to see him given a chance Liked his marking. Needs work on kicking but he has good attributes Biggest knock is his pace. He was caught a few times with Eagles getting away from him on the run.
