  1. It’s all confidential … isn’t it !!! Agree they keep saying to prepare for a tie !!!
  2. Tags Daicos on Kings Birthday and ANB shuts him down. But in round 24, Goody let him run free to destroy us. FFS.
  3. Think Dees can only really bring in max 2 players from other clubs Want to keep 4 picks in this years draft Yes to Peatling (if he was to leave GWS and we beat the other 5 clubs in the offer) Best offer is future 2025 2nd round to GWS Yes probably to Parfitt (if he was delisted or if future 3rd round pick) , Derksen (if he was available for a pick the 50.+ range) Not that keen but a possible maybe to Membrey (swap for Tomlinson) Matt Kennedy or Owies (For a future 3rd round pick) Maybe but with a lot of due diligence: Malcolm Rosas (jnr) No to … Macrae, Daniel, Ross, Taberner, Cerra, Ladhams, Jack Martin, Marchbank, Hind, Sam Day , Haynes, Stringer, Darling, Tom Campbell…
  4. Drafting has been a Yes. Jason Taylor. 👏👏👏 it’s the recent pick swaps and players traded in and as you note the contract extensions to marginal players … that’s Tim Lamb
  5. At times he looked very good. Probably didn’t quite kick goals for his role. If we had list spots to fill then ok (but unfortunately holding too many cloggers) … we need spots for young midfielders. At 25/26 he’s actually better than others like Hunter and Billings on our list.
  6. Thanks PSD. Understandable… yet it’s just as a backup here. Gawn is still number 1. I’m padding until we get Cooper Duff-Tytler next year. 🤣🤣👏 ps. Strangely some said Xerri would not make it. And Sweet wasn’t AFL standard.
  7. 2024 squad = 45. 😭ANB, BBB, Gus, JS, KFW, Schache. Tomlinson likely to go. So now 38 ??? Marty Hore??? Staying or delisted??? core group … 37 or 38 ⭐️Gawn, Petracca, Viney, May, Oliver (tbc) ❤️kozzzy (6) soldiers: Rivers, McVee , Lever, Windsor, JVR, Bowey, Chandler, Fritsch, Howes, Langdon, Petty, Salem, Sparrow, Tholstrup, Turner (15) The one more year club… ANW, Woey jnr, KBrown,… Verrall, Sestan, Billings, Fullarton, Spargo, Kentfield, Tmcd*, Melksham*, Hunter* (could be high turnover at end of 2025) (12) The two more years club … Jefferson, Adams, Laurie, McAdam (contracted to 2026) (4)
  8. Tim Lamb. Memo. Don’t even think about this? Are we a dumping ground. No. No. No. DELISTED SAINT ON DEES' RADAR A FOURTH AFL club is looming for delisted Saint Tom Campbell, who has interest from Melbourne as a ruck option. Campbell was cut by the Saints last month after four games in three seasons at the club. But he could find himself with a new home for 2025, with the 32-year-old garnering interest from the Demons to be a ruck deputy to champion big man Max Gawn.
  9. Future 2nd round enough to satisfy GWS?
  10. @Pennant St Dee help me out … thoughts on Oliver Eastland from Claremont. Had a huge year from what I see. Liked him in brief cameo in state game. WAFL stats this year. Hitouts avg 41, disposals avg 20, tackles avg 8. 26yo. Nice left footer. Moves well. Excellent last 2 years. Any chance as a late pick to support Maxy?
  11. NO. 32 year old backup ruckman !!! We are sinking to new lows. And already been at 3 other clubs. Wow. Does the term “No” mean anything !! Prefer other younger VFL/WAFL/SANFL ruck options as backup. example. Harry Boyd!!! won the Magarey Medal in the SANFL this year playing in the ruck for Norwood. Let’s see … average 20.1 disposals, 10 clearances, 4.4 tackles and 41 hitouts per game. Guess what? He's originally from Victoria. FFS.
  12. @Pennant St Dee @dazzledavey36 Hamish Davis was Best on Ground in the Colts GF for Claremont. I’m trying to get some vision. Obviously he’s rising up draft lists. I had him ranked about 28 (live pick “24”). Feels about right.
  13. @adonski Pascoe response on Langford and Hynes … “Langford has certainly had a strong year, a have a few queries on his speed and likelihood of producing what he has at junior level at the top level. Hynes is just outside my top 30 his role at the next level I’m a little unsure on”. FFS. Langford’s speed? He is a contested ballwinner that plays like Bont. Great overhead. 192cms. Has enough speed. He’s not expected to be Max Holmes. Physically ready. Kicking is very good. It was his tackling that was strong all year but strangely missed through last 2 weeks. FFS. Hynes’ role? Well he can play the HFF rotating inside mid role. Loves a goal. Good strength over the footy.
  14. But can they offer anything to satisfy GWS ?
  15. Billy Coottee was again a standout for Redlegs in the Grand Final. He didn’t need a lot of the footy but has the run and energy to get metres. Like to see him progress or get into an AFL List.
  16. Again not that interesting if no Dees likely. No Clarry. No Trac. Gawn to poll about 16 votes by my calculations. Agree that it’s going to take about 30 or more to win it. Neale. Bont. Daicos. Cripps. Any of those four are most likely.
  17. I think Chandler is already playing that type of role. I think we will need another player like ANB but who also adds goals. Saw the impact of such mid sized forwards during the finals. Must bring pressure but also hit the scoreboard.
  18. Agree. I think Freo will overprice him as he’s under contract and was a pick 10 in 21 draft. Dees will counter with you haven’t played him and you’ve got other players coming in and we can offer something. It’s just hypothetical!!
  19. Thanks @adonski I think there are some bizarre places here. Smilie at 5!!! Langford at 15!!! Gross at 17!! Trainor at 18!!! Armstrong at 20!!! Alger at 22!!! Shanahan at 27!!! Anderson at 29!!! Marshall at 30!!! There’s way too many off the mark here. I know this might be an even group but this is too much. No room for Cooper Hynes! No Harry Oliver!
  20. As we stated in other threads on trade options, Dees must missed out on getting in the next wave of young mids. We started to address with Windsor (outside runner) and hope Throlstrup can be a half forward/mid like Rayner type. But we need to find good contested ball winners. Our recruiting from other clubs has been poor in the last 2 years. One name mentioned in our posts was Neil Erasmus. Well he was clearly best on ground in the WAFL GF yesterday. Starved for opportunity this year as Freo settled on their midfield of Serong, Young, Brayshaw. Agree that is 3 high quality mids. Rotation however seemed to involve Omeara and Fyfe when fit. Erasmus was a top-10 pick in the 2021 national draft. Yesterday he displayed his all around talent. 26 disposals. 11 tackles. 2 goals. (preliminary final 33 disposals, 8 tackles, 1 goal) . At 190 cms, he has the body size to compete and that short evasive burst. Quick hands for sharp inside play. His tackling was perhaps the highlight. After 23 games across 3 years, he has displayed talent but squeezed out. In 2024, four games where he was sub in 3 of them. At 21, he offers the Dees an immediate player who can play and energize the midfield with run and contested footy. He makes smart decisions and can lower his eyes to find targets inside 50. What would we offer ? What would Freo want? He is under contract for 2025. But he might want and ask for a change. Dees should be proactive. I think Freo will ask for a reasonable given he’s a former draft pick 10. The ANB pick is the best option. Likely pick “25” from the Crows. Perhaps it’s too much or Freo might think not enough. Perhaps other pick swaps could apply … grab Freo 3rd pick coming back to MFC as well. Freo might want to grab Hamish Davis as a local WA boy and they will bite on 25 !! Just a thought https://www.afl.com.au/video/1228133/wafl-showreel-gf-neil-erasmus-highlights?videoId=1228133&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1726989829001
  21. On the socials … Very interesting and absolute hypocrisy by the media today. McInerney goes back on with a totally stuffed shoulder, now misses the GF and needs surgery Trac does the same thing and MFC doctors are totally vilified by the scumbags in the media!!! Just want the media to be consistent.
  22. Ex Tiger Liam McBean kicked 7 for Glenelg to snatch the victory in the SANFL.
  23. Tigers are in the box seat but will give up a lot of seasoned players. They’ll go young. Three steps back. Odds on 2025 wooden spooners too. Lions are all laughing … screw the other clubs to get points. Then pickup guaranteed two of the very best players in the draft. FFS.
  24. If our 2025 first round pick is (1,2,3) 4 or 5, then no If our 2025 first round pick is 16, 17 or 18, then yes
