  1. Bruhn will nominate the Cats. Likely role in their midfield perhaps to replace Selwood. If I was able to grab Giants players, aside from the stars like Greene or Kelly, I’d go for Ash, Callaghan or Cumming. AFL should wind them up and send the “franchise” to Tasmania. Western Sydney is undoubtedly heartland Rugby League and will remain so.
  2. Here we go again Demons waiting for Sam to become what we all desperately waif him to be !!! We live in the hope that Sam Weideman will take his chance and show more intensity, one grab marking and kick goals as a key forward. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
  3. Miles Shepherd should get the recall in place of Weideman. He showed enough in recent games to warrant more opportunities.
  4. Just checked. Bailey Dale is elite for disposals (avg 27 per game) , rebounds from def50 (6.9) and metres gained (592m). But only average for contested possessions, tackles and spoils. Classic quarterback. Aside from the Mids (Bont, Libba, Macrae) I’d put lots of work into making Dale accountable and making sure we tightly watch him closely when the Dogs rebound. Simply can’t play a loose zone on him.
  5. Agreed. If Dogga goes, we definitely want one pick within top 10, and one pick within top 16.
  6. Thanks WJ. It’s a good summation of FEB. I think he’s got AFL qualities no doubt, and probably going to be draft range around the 40-50 mark. Love to see us get him as we can let him develop over his initial 2 years with plenty of gym work and in the Casey program. Not too sure Clarke and Binns are under the radar as they have shown brightly in the U18s championships. Both would be excellent in red and blue.
  7. No matter what happens with Dogga, I’d still be keen to ask the Swans about the availability of Haydn McLean. Big bodied 197cm Forward/2nd Ruck. Good goalkicker, good mark. Behind Franklin, McDonald and Reid as a forward. Behind Hickey and Ladhams as a ruck. Would appeal to us and brings physical presence.
  8. Fritta was getting his styling done this morning 🤣
  9. Agree we need to shut down Bailey Dale. At the peril of my SuperCoach team. He’s clearly their quarterback. Sometimes or actually mostly, MFC fails to identify key quarterback types. Mills (Swans) and Crisp (Pies) played this role and in recent losses we failed to shut them down. Possibly Melksham is identified for this role and knows that Dale often takes the kick in and then runs to create the overlap possession.
  10. Aaron Cadman is like Jeremy Cameron 2.0. Definitely we’d play him.
  11. Jake Melksham this week 6 possessions 1 goal (over the top out the back - out ran Clurey) 1 chase down on Tom Clurey (Ports slowest player alongside Dixon) 7 tackles I think probably only the tackles and the fact that Bedford had another shocker that saved him. Needs to definitely show more this week in a big game !!
  12. Rutten is safe now imv . Recent wins have saved him.
  13. Gus. Come on. What can they offer? Really. We are family. The grass isn’t greener elsewhere. You are loved by all at the Dees. Let’s get the deal signed.
  14. Dees need to be very strong in their messaging. Hands off.
  15. Dogga. We love ya. Sign up and March on to September glory
  16. Hate to lose Jackson. Always a risk when you bring across a youngster from interstate. If we had to , I’d support the trade triangle of Dockers: Luke Jackson dogs: Rory lobb and freo future ‘23 first round dees: Dogs ‘22 first pick (9-10) freo ‘22 first pick (15-18) and a Freo player like Lloyd Meek
  17. Assume Tomlinson is the medi sub? Bowey- rested, managed or forgotten?? Daw. Retired. injured /unavailable. Tmcd. D.Smith J.Smith
  18. Good insights from the weekend and prior posts from other Demonlanders. From the SA v Vic metro game Will Ashcroft - will play senior footy in 2023. Sam Walsh like in his style and class. Lions will be very lucky but need to match draft pick #1 or 2 imv. Charlie Clarke - his pace and smarts and goal sense are appearing. Classic half forward. Harry Sheezel - smooth running mud with class and skill. Will be top 5-6 pick. Very very good pick imv Cam Mckenzie - as a mid, just gets the footy and goes. Constantly moving and burst of pace. Top 20 pick. Alwyn Davey jnr - Bombers will pickup a classy small forward. His ability to crumb and evade is already on show. Oli Hotton - is a player and showed good skill and goal smarts. Agree likely a top 15-20 selection Lewis Hayes - very good intercept defender. Reads the play. For clubs with no Jake Lever, he will be appealing. SA Billy Dowling - looks a footballer. Competes and gets the footy. Good kick and has skills. Adam D’Aloia - another mid with strong ball winning ability. What impressed me was his coverage of the ground and getting to the contest. Harry Barnett - good agile young ruck. One for clubs to watch and if Jackson goes (😭😭😭) , I’d consider him as young option for the Dees 👍🏻 Mattaes Phillipou - obviously the kid is super talented and can play ruck rover or as a goalkicking forward. Kobe Ryan - didn’t showout as I hoped but looks like a Rory Sloane type of midfielder. Showed signs but want to watch him in last game v WA this week. Harvey Pedlar - reminds a little of Tom Sparrow type. Not a high possession winner but good build , good kick. Might be a late draft option if Dees are down the order. Underagers Holt and Moir definitely impressed. Moir (as has been commented) does resemble JUH from the Bulldogs in style and ability.
  19. It’s a no no and No from me
  20. Worth thinking about …
  21. Loved to see Hibbo get a vote. He played an excellent game and has been very important in the past month. Jack Viney was second best for the Dees in my view. Had another great game especially in absence of Clarry.
  22. I agree we left 3 or 4 goals behind on the weekend. Yes sometimes it’s best to take the shot. Other times its definitely wasteful when other players are free and available. It’s about decision making. I think we need to get back to backing ourselves.
  23. Yes to lose Yze would be a huge loss. Wish him good luck … but hoping he doesn’t get it !! 🤔
  24. Ins. Oliver and Petty outs. Bedford and Tomlinson Tomlinson would be very unlucky but has to given backline structure Melksham might get another game purely because Bedford was woeful. He got caught watching the opposition rather than instinctively going at the footy. Two good passages don’t negate his overall absence. Really disappointing because I wanted a Kozzy- Bedford combo
