  1. Time for a magic glove. Jimmy played with a broken hand. Surely a thumb is not that important 😉
  2. “They also have challenges off the field with Luke Jackson looking increasingly likely to return to Western Australia to play with Fremantle in 2023” why?? He’s still a chance to play at MFC. Sure the delays often mean it’s likely players are leaving but not always
  3. Clayton Oliver - Broken Thumb - 1 week. Blake Howes - Foot | 1-2 Weeks Andy Moniz-Wakefield - Groin | 1-2 Weeks Daniel Turner - Face | 1-2 Weeks Joel Smith - Ankle | 2-4 Weeks Tom McDonald - Foot | 8-10 Weeks Majak Daw - retired
  4. Outs. Spargo (been poor for a while) Bedford (disappointed because he hasn’t taken his chance) Bowey (masking mistakes and getting physically out bodied) and possibly Sparrow (beset with slips and fumbles. Love the kid and setup ANB goal but just not contributing enough) ins. Weid or JVR -,we need another fwd target. Fritsch needs to the 3rd tall but is getting physically sucked into big congested marking contests. Weid more likely but JVR is a talent. Too early?? Chandler - it’s time to reward him and give him the 2-3 game block He hasn’t taken prior chances but need to give him the chance again as Bedford lost his opportunities Hunt has served his exile. We need some pace across HB to break the line Laurie to debut. We need to see what he can do. Only young but has the skill and smart footy we need. At least give him the next two weeks. He deserves a debut. Hibberd May Lever Salem Petty Hunt* Langdon Viney Brayshaw Anb Weid/JVR Laurie* Pickett Bbb Fritsch Gawn Trac Clarry Chandler*! Harmes Jordon Jackson sub. Sparrow if Clarry doesn’t withstand multiple painkillers, then Dunstan replaces him. Otherwise he is picked.
  5. Three words Beaten in clearances No contested marking Melted under pressure Forwards must lift totally missing Tmcd lost premiership favouritism Harmesy stopped fending
  6. Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin expected an audit of his AFL side in the heavyweight clash against Geelong - and he got one. But what he didn't expect at GMHBA Stadium on Thursday night was his vaunted midfield unit to get so well beaten around the ball. The Cats dominated clearances (54-36) and inside-50s (66-46), and had 13 more scoring shots, in a comprehensive 28-point win that dislodged the reigning premiers from the top of the ladder.
  7. Outs. Fritsch needs to the 3rd tall but is getting physically sucked into big congested marking contests. Yes if he’s ok, I’d consider JVR Chandler - it’s time to reward him and give him the 2-3 game block He hasn’t taken prior chances but need to give him the chance again as Bedford lost his opportunities Rivers & Hunt - they have served exile. Need their pace and run across half back. Hibberd May Lever Salem Petty Rivers Langdon Viney Brayshaw Anb Weid/JVR Chandler Pickett Bbb Fritsch Gawn Trac Clarry Hunt Harmes Jordon Jackson sub. Sparrow
  8. 6 Brayshaw 5 Viney 4 Lever 3 Petracca 2 Hibberd 1 Petty hard to find any real winners aside from Brayshaw. Gawn and oliver tried hard
  9. Ummm not Clarry ummm
  10. 3rd 👌defence solid. Brayshaw lever petty 👍🏻Gawn battling on 😭Clarry clearly not dealing with hard tag 🤮May ??? Not the Same player as last year 😭turnovers by both sides - shockers 🤬cats winning clearances run and spread is winning
  11. Who ? Are they playing ??? Kozzzy has lost his footy iq. He’s one who can win it for us
  12. 1st half v cats. 2 kicks 8 handballs. 7 handballs to a player right next to him under more pressure and costs turnovers. Gotta get inside his head that he is free and running and can hit a target himself. Such a talent but needs coaching.
  13. That’s 127 kick-in consecutively out to 55 metres on the left to the pack. It’s a defensive type play. For the past 14 matches. And something different is … like others who play on. Pass. They run past and deliver to the half forward area. Hmmmmm. Maybe try it just once.
  14. Watching the same game as me 😊
  15. for Spargo, Kozzzzy Pickett, Sparrow, Bedford . Get to the crumbs. Win the footy. NOT TRAIL YOUR OPPONENT. FFS.
  16. Yes yes and yes. It’s our obvious need.
  17. 2nd qtr 🤮dumb footy - Pickett!! 🤮🤮🤮overhandballing overhandballing overhandballing 🤬Footskills ??? Trac 😊and Clarry 😊goals
  18. 1st quarter stupidity abounds. Harmes May Oliver Viney. Take the first option. Turned into trouble. Fended tackler ??! This is not v the Kangas. Not sharp. Lucky to be even. Bowey. Ummm. Hmmmm. Trac 😄
  19. Jackson’s performance v Lions was not hype or potential. He showed even at 20, what he can bring as a leading ruckman. Except for Viney’s incredible performance, Jackson was probably next best for the Dees. And he will get better.
  20. Another sensational year from Clarry. I think we have Clarry polling Brownlow votes in at least 9 (maybe 11) of our 15 games so far. Likely only issue is if he gets the 3,2,1. I think C……Petracca will be the one to take votes off Clarry. Guys like Brayshaw, Neale, Miller and Cripps won’t have another star taking votes.
  21. Yes I think it’s talls out for talls. Seems like some want Weid to stay in. With BBB and Weid, frees Fritsch up and probably allows him not to have to compete in contested pack marks. Bedford would be stiff to miss but didn’t quite nail his opportunities last week.
  22. Yes IB13 they looked impressive and certainly top 10 likely in 2023. Reid in particular will be very popular as he takes the game on as a midsize back with good skills & pace but looks very capable as a man on man defender.
  23. Outstanding. Jonesy will be a gun pre match , during and post match. Heart of a lion.
  24. Nailed it. Fraser’s athletic ability is there. Got good pace and size. He’s a long kick. Limited footy over 2020-21 and this year. Finesse and footy smarts not quite there right now. He might be one to drop back to the rookie list for further development to free up a major list spot but with the assurance of getting drafted back in rookie draft (not sure if clubs need to redraft any more or can place back to rookie list).
  25. Yes both Harley Reid and Zane Duursma were super impressive in the Vic Country v Allies under 18s match. They’d be drafted this year Vic eligible and probably be top 30-40.
