Last i saw he was considering our offer. We've pitched it as a part time gig around his media commitments so hopefully he's keen.

I'm not actually sure he will, the reason he's not a full time mid right now is that his tank is miles off it. He's so explosive and powerful but he's not an endurance athlete at all. I think BH is going to be a 50/50 forward and mid player probably, but that doesn't mean he won't be immensely damaging and one of the better players in the comp

Very similar mindset to King in terms of being ultra aggressive. He feels like a natural fit for that path.

I still think we need to throw the kitchen sink at jed Walter if Humphrey is going to be held to his deal offer him a 6 year deal, he walks into our team on good money rather than being stuck behind king/read/jamara indefinitely Pick 7 and a gun young key forward to light up the MCG feels like the sort of return we actually need

I think we are harsh on this draft crop honestly. Last year was exceptional, this year has 15-20 really good prospects and then it thins out hard If we do get those 2 picks they’ll still be two really solid long term prospects

Jed Walter would be okay Just need to convince him that a long term deal and not being stuck behind jamara, king and read is worth it

Extroadinarily poor negotiation tactic discussing fall back options with a club that is wanting you to blink first. The only way we were ever any chance to get Humphrey is if the Suns believes a. We wouldn't accept any other deal and B. they wanted Trac more than him. Sadly i don't think either of those things are true

IF the Bailey Humphrey trade happens, it's not going to become clear until very late in the trade period because it'll be off the back of the Suns caving and not wanting to miss out on Trac. it'll be a Wednesday thing. Until then, trust the process and enjoy the ride. We'll get a really good trade return no matter the makeup of it and Trac will be playing for the Suns.

Max and Max in the same team could provide us with some serious around the ground marking talent. If done right we wouldn't need to rob peter to pay paul with Max's marking, one manages the front half and one stays behind the ball in the hole.

This is where i think the trade week fun and games makes everything go really confusing. BH upsetting his current employer by meeting with multiple prospective employers is a totally pointless exercise unless his current employer has expressed some openness privately to a move being at least possible. Otherwise this sort of thing just erodes trust with the player, the club and the manager and noone wants that. I am certain we asked for Bailey Humphrey and the Suns knew about his personal circumstances and gave their blessing for him to meet with us, they're driving a hardline on him, we are on Trac but i honestly believe this is all or mostly optics and posturing. I wouldn't fly to Melbourne and meet with prospective employers if there was zero chance of the job being possible, just wouldn't waste my time like that.

Him walking around the tan with Steven King and Nathan Jones and our list manager confirming the interest directly multiple times is pretty good.

I absolutely love the early commitment from Steven King and the club to take the pressure off Max, it's nice they're wheeling out other guys and letting the bloke who's carried the club from one crisis to another catch his breath

Bailey Humphrey isn't off the trade table until the trade period ends or the Trac deal is announced without him. Noone knows exactly what's going on behind the scenes and there are so many games being played at trade time My suggestion to all Demonlanders would be to just enjoy the ride. It's exciting to be linked to such a talented player and if we pull it off Tim Lamb absolutely will deserve enormous credit.

If I’m the suns I keep him because he helps you win a flag in that time even if he does eventually leave But if it’s the only way to land petracca and he really wants out , you at least consider it

Because the suns have almost no incentive to trade BH full stop but maybe the only tiny chance is if it was the only way to get petracca and he were desperate to go. I think we’re a tiny chance and everyone else is zero
