  1. I think this element is overstated. If BH is telling the Suns he wants to leave, and he's happy to go to Melbourne which i believe he is, what is being said publicly is largely just optics. The Suns would be having discussions around "Well if we hold him this year, and miss out on Petracca maybe a Hawthorn or Collingwood gets him next year for a couple of late first round picks" This moment is a bit like when Adelaide offered a war chest for Clarry, we held him too long and now we'll get a much worse return. it all depends on if they're confident they can bring him around
  2. Imagine for a moment if the Suns refused to pony up Bailey Humphrey, and then the MFC walked Trac back in the doors. and then in 12 months time BH again wants to leave. the Suns probably blow a premiership window
  3. Correct. and it also doesn't matter in the slightest what the Suns think is fair for Petracca, in order to get him they have to either match or decline what WE think is fair. it's amazing when people are so desperate to be negative that just basic logic goes out the window. You don't walk into JB HI FI and set the price of a new TV, the seller does, you can negotiate but at some point you have to say yes or no to the asking price pretty clear our asking price is Bailey Humphrey
  4. Trust the process. MFC now need to walk away from the table and refuse to engage in any talks until Bailey Humphrey is included. Make it clear no other offer gets this done Humphrey wants this, Melbourne want this, Trac wants this, they need to either come to the party or walk away totally
  5. The suns aren’t going to trade him without something insane coming back. A couple of picks and a young player they don’t need isn’t going to be much temptation for them
  6. their pick might not be top 10 this year by the time it actually comes up. but i mean any deal containing Christian Petracca is going to be better than any deal containing 2 draft picks and McKenzie. Gold Coast are unique in the draft picks don't mean as much to them as other clubs.
  7. they're going to go incredible late, or be rookies. we'll have late picks for them. Sinema i doubt will get a bid at all, and if White does it'll be really late.
  8. Not how it works Dazzle... Generally speaking with salary dumps the portion the current club plays dictates the trade outcome, normally if the new club takes on the whole deal it's a very late pick, a pick that gets better as the money goes up and up for the current club. with Clarry specifically though i think you're right, i suspect the Giants will pay roughly 900k pa, leaving the Dees paying about 400kpa and we'll end up with a very late pick that'll likely not be used. and that's a good outcome for everyone. we were never getting a first round pick or anything good
  9. It feels like a last hour of the trade period who blinks first scenario. I'll predict the final trade though. Bailey Humphrey and pick 7 for Christian Petracca and pick 24, 28, 42 essentially the players are a straight swap and we swap points picks for the high end pick. we get a gun young player and a top 10 pick they get Trac and their Academy guys
  10. I can only dream of the day i become half the man @picket fence is
  11. I have it on good authority that the AFL will do all they can to prevent Bailey Humphrey and Jeffo being on the same team. When Jeffo wins the next 8 brownlows, Nick Daicos is going to be very very angry and has threatened to write a letter telling the AFL how angry he is.
  12. How did you get this photo of me?!
  13. Honestly why would Collingwood have social media!? None of their fans can read. It's like them being sponsored by smile solutions.
  14. SEND IN JEFFO
  15. Far out! so he doesn't follow Steven King. It's over :'(
  16. He said it again today on Trade radio. Said something along the lines of "The Suns are still running with the stance they won't trade him, but there is momentum behind this and i believe this is happening."
  17. I think there is no incentive for the Suns to trade him to the Hawks or Pies right now, and BH knows it. the reality is they'll be offered what they'd offer for him in the future. the opportunity to sign a Christian Petracca might never come up again if they blow it, if BH wants to come back to vic it does make some sense if they've got to lose him to get a star in return instead of average picks. Excitement is officially returning after a fairly dissapointing off season so far.
  18. As in generally. Well.. one team has Christian Petracca to offer. the other two interested have nothing picks in a weak draft, who would you trade him to?
  19. I will not. Momentum is building. I did not see this coming at all.
  20. Edmund reporting he thinks the Humphrey trade is happening. Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen
  21. He should focus his energy on the Daicos family and their feelings towards his club.
  22. What a shock, and employee that's just been terminated from his position isn't complimentary of his now former employer.
  23. I am struggling to wrap my head around how the 2022 premiership could possibly be valid if they players are receiving incorrectly documented 3rd party payments. Not sure a small vic club would get the same kindness
  24. IF Judd was good enough, he'd have played the role he wanted, reality is that Bowey, Windsor, Rivers and Salem were all not only ahead of him for the role he wanted, but comfortably ahead of him. That's nothing against Judd, i wish him well at Freo and hope he does prove me wrong, but i've seen no evidence he's anything more than a back pocket lockdown specialist. I think he could have been all australian in that team first role, but he's more interested in personal glory than being a team player so he'll fit in well at Freo and back with Mummy and Daddy.
  25. Hahahah in some ways he's Clayton Oliver without the baggage! haha I would only do it if the Saints were chipping in some of his wage and he's just there to help develop the young guys and fix the cultural stuff has to be on our terms, but i do worry our midfield is a tiny bit thin without Trac and Oliver.
