Errol Gulden is that you? -
Greatest ever ruckman. The thing with the Gawn vs Xerri debate, i kept telling my old man, Xerri will have 20 disposals, 5 marks, 30 hit outs and people will be blown away, but Gawn will do it the same weekend, against a much better opponent and noone will talk about it because we're so used to him dominating. the absolute best games of the competitions other ruckman, reach the average games we see from Max Gawn. the guys a freak.

Pert and Roffey both need to go in my opinion, they're the heads of the ship and they're driving us into an iceburg. Lets get some real leadership, get a full external review of absolutely everything done and re-build the club to give us a fighting chance.

Can we answer neither?

Darren Burgess Potential Return to Victoria
Ted Lasso replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's so difficult for any fan to be able to assess the performance of a high performance manager because we simply don't have the numbers and information required to make informed judgements. what i will say is that when Burgo was at the club the best 22 had a lot more seasoned AFL ready bodies than this season which has a mid age void, a bunch of really young guys and some 28s and over. they were working with two totally different things, and i'd say Selwyn is doing quite well considering he has a much more difficult task. -
It's absolutely extraordinary if the clubs president hasn't been keeping in contact with Petracca and his family following life threatening injuries.
-
Orrr.... and just hear me out.... it is possible the MFC isn't perfect and has some issues to work through?
-
So we've hard Richo, Pert and Roffey all do interviews since the Trac stuff dropped, and i don't know about anyone else but right now every major leader of the club is reducing my confidence in the club, besides Goody who i think is presenting quite well given what he's got to work with. We're in a bad bad spot at the moment, and it feels like we hardly know any of what's actually gone on that's created the storm.
-
Saints can have him for pick 7, 8 and Max King, otherwise send him to the Pies.
-
I would have thought 100% of Dees fans would fully support an independent review of the club. this is the only way to guarantee and end to the talk of our toxic culture and to ensure we actually have the right things in place.

I think given our cultural challenges, getting a legend of the arguably greatest culture in modern AFL history would be a really smart move, he would still be in our best 22, could transition into a coaching role and really help us to get our culture on track and develop our leadership. If we're not up to our necks in chasing parker we're making a mistake

I'm so sick of these low ball ridiculous offers. It's mcreery and a late first rounder or don't even bother calling me
-
In my view Pert needs to go, i have zero trust in anything he says He said " we have the best culture in 40 years" and we missed the finals and had several major off field issues He said "He's not having conversations were Petracca about breaking his contract or being traded" Maybe you're not, but he was certainly aware that was his intention in my view. if you want the fans trust, admit there are significant issues to work through, commit to a full audit of every area of the club, get things right and give us a fighting chance of being relevant in 2025. Fans aren't [censored], the majority on here saw right through the Petracca situation the moment the reports dropped, and i don't think clubs as a general rule give this point enough consideration, we're not toddlers and can handle the news that things need to improve, you're not protecting anyone coz the players clearly know.

If Richmond or North don't take him 1 or 2 they'll regret it for 15 years. I'd take him pick 1 if i was Richmonds list manager. If we get him at what will be pick 6, start dancing coz it's a huge steal -
He's high end character and leadership and when fit he can give us something we're desperately lacking, if we get him for virtually nothing outside of money, i don't see why we wouldn't.
-
I would be putting in a phone call to Adam Simpson, and trying to get Nev Jetta back to the club.

If Moore did that to Kozzie - 0 weeks because it's Kozzie 1-4 weeks

It really makes it hard when your best kicks consistently miss targets in a game where you have almost no margin for error anyway.
-
I think it's a bit of a posture game at the moment, it seems MFC, Ess, Carl all aren't willing to meet Ports asking price trade wise, either they soften or he stays.
-
I assume we will just roll Melksham over to another 1 year deal? sounds strange but it's a lot of experience likely out the door this off season, perhaps we need to have a look at a couple of older guys coming back in.

You don't consider around the clock negative media representation that would almost certainly have negatively impacted the list management departments ability do attract players as a direct result of Christians decision to remain silent damage? I think you're giving him an out he doesn't deserve, he's a big boy, he's been through a lot but he has a team of professionals representing him and an element of this that you might not want to admit exists, is undoubtedly calculated, for what purpose? i don't know with certainty.
-
Something he's very entitled to do, but this isn't the way to do it. the speculation will now continue until Trac is traded, or trade week ends if he doesn't speak, and personally, i suspect that's what he wants.
-
I reckon Trac would have said something pretty quickly if the same level of negative press was being associated with the CP5 online brand he's building as is the MFC by virtue of his silence. His management could shut this down in 5 seconds flat if Trac wanted it, he wouldn't even have to speak himself, he's making an ongoing choice not to do so.

That's so silly, Houston is one of, if not their most important player, this could legitimately cost them the flag. I'd be appealing via any means available and praying for a technicality.
