top 15 pick or top 25 and a player, he is an All Australian full back and only 24 Hawthorn should be all over him if he decides to leave.

out: pederson, sellar, jamar, bail and Toumpas In: Gawn, Kent, watts, Blease Mckenzie

At what point does this become unacceptable?
Ted Lasso replied to Striker475's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are paying Neeld for the year, might as well see what he has got to offer, maybe sneak a few phone calls in to possible coaches if things don't improve -
The kid has played 2 games and one as a sub in a team that's been thrashed each game, give him a break. Hopefully he gets a stint in the VFL to dominate some games and show us just how good he is/will be
-
Should have traded jamar to collingwood as part of the dawes deal and saved a decent draft pick
-
in for next year picks 1 and 2 kevin sheedy as coach i'd be pretty happy with that
-
Great bloke, we are very lucky to have him! hopefully this show of faith will help rally the team abit

I would love to see the Dees win! anything that would shut damien barret up for 5 seconds is a plus!

What Should Be on the Banner against WCE?
Ted Lasso replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Free pizza for anyone who puts in a 4 quarter effort? -
Sylvia will probably leave as a free agent, watts may be considered as trade bait, but i would hate to see them trade him unless it was a great deal, still wholeheartedly believe he will come good, as a forward not a loose in defence. Anyone know if there is truth to James Frawley wanting out pretty badly?
-
Dean baileys team had next to no defensive ability but these high draft picks like trengove and watts actually looked like high draft picks, with neeld there is no attacking flair, trengove looks more worried about his opponent than getting the ball himself.

Noone tipped us to beat the dons last year, and we are better than what we have shown on the field, somethings gotta give.

Mark Neeld i think would be a perfect person to have as a senior assistant, maybe not a head coach Sheedy at the very least would identify exactly what is wrong with us in alot of areas Demand the respect of the players, i think our on field effort would increase significantly just for having him around can't see a downside, despite that people on here don't like him.
-
Absolutely what we need! and to swallow our pride and ask for the AFL's help! A proven premiership coach would demand the respect of everyone at the club and could help find a solution to why the players are developing at negative million miles and hour.

[censored] Gillies, jamar and sylvia off, if we are going to be beaten might as well get some experience into young players

Andrew Demetriou - Only a phone call away
Ted Lasso replied to Undeeterred's topic in Melbourne Demons
Give us the top 10 draft picks this year, our 500,000 back and a magical potion to make our players live up to their hype and we will forgive you for that whole investigation thing, sounds good -

If i was in charge i'd have called already.. something needs to be done which it's still possible. -
I was actually half expecting he would have been by now, although i don't think it would be the right decision.

Melbourne football club needs a proven coach so we can at the very least say the coach is not the problem, Mark Neeld i think would be great in neil craigs role but i'm not sure he is much of a head coach. Look at Kevin Sheedy, GWS are in a development phase and he backs them in to win every single week regardless of the opposition and they are seriously competetive against some really good teams. For me Mark Neeld preaching about how young the team is may be correct but it's not how you inspire players, they have no attacking flair and don't back themselves in nearly often enough, so the supporters don't get to see enough of the talent they have. It seems like they are just going through the motions until they have played that 80-100 games and then they can start believing they can win again. although, i'm sure the problems run much deeper than the coach.
-
I wonder how much of it is that he simply doesn't know how we will go? i mean i understand that he gets to see these players basically every day and should have a good idea but i mean it just takes watts taking the next step, viney and toumpas playing well clark and dawes clicking and abit of luck and with our draw we could push the 8 or we could have another year like last but with so much young talent it must be tough to predict anything.

GWS and adelaide! can't stand either!

Jack Watts is back and will top Niknat
Ted Lasso replied to Demon Forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
I like that we chose Toumpas, he seems to love being part of the club as shown by him already re-signing and i have a funny feeling at some stage ollie wines might want to come back to Melbourne and play with Jack Viney, especially if we start to climb the ladder. Plus i think Toumpas will be a better player, reminds me a little bit of a scott pendelbury -
Best 22 for round 1 - your call.

Is it really possible that this years team could be as bad as last years was for the first 9 rounds? surely there will be some decent improvement and with such and easy draw i can't see us not winning 5 or 6 at least
